I've had the 8700 for 4 months now, and it's the best EDC I've ever had. I love this knife and its multi-function.

Nice job Fred. I have several knives with the edge trailing the forefinger choil and have had no issues. The key is to handle the knife properly when choked up as is the same with any grip. Anchors away my friend!

I looked at this little EDC knife at Wally World and I, like most reviews point out was apprehensive about the 50/50 choil. If I were to purchase one, I would probably Dremel the point at which the edge impinges on the finger. That would be the only thing I have against this little thing. Oh, the bottle opener. It does create a hot spot when gripping too hard. Great review as usual, Fred.

Love your informative videos. I have been a knife lover since I was a kid and now I don't buy a knife I am interested in until I see a few reviews.. especially yours. Great knowledge and insight. Thank you.

On the 3800, if you want to etch the blade, 20 mins leaves a light bit.

I filed down the sharp corner of the blade a little, and the sharp tip of the bottle opener. its fine now. Feels and opens like a $15 dollar knife, but I like it anyhow.

I picked one up an 8700 from amazon. Very happy with it for the price. That 50/50 finger choil is the only deal breaker.

Odd...I just bought the same one (3800) from Wal-Mart in clamshell packaging. The specs on the back say iris 8cr13mov. I wonder if that is correct?

since the knife is called the kershaw shuffle, was hoping to see you break out into a new dance line move like the harlem shuffle, cupid shuffle, melbourne shuffle or better yet the curly shuffle, lol!

I am the only one here with a shuffle thats not that smooth and easy to flick out ? Its not a brand new i mean i gave it some time to break in but its still hard for me to flick it out.And if i loose the pivot all it happens is that appears a left to right blade play.I cant even send it back since ive got it from ebay.Any tips about it ?

Only problem I have with this knife is that when i take it out of my pocket the bottle opener catches on my pocket. Other than that not a bad cheap knife.
