- I have recently realized that there are many out there that have advanced knowledge of Xactimate, but are not using everyday, common PC & Mac shortcuts when estimating.
I wanted to make sure that we're all saving as much time estimating as possible, so I'm going to make a few short videos in the upcoming weeks covering quick shortcuts that save a ton of time. This video will cover commonly missed keys and clicks that we use everyday in other programs, but miss out in Xactimate.

Can you do an example of a minor fire claim ?
Once you copy a tree, how do you get the sketch to go into the correct folder?
Copying a Sketch will bring the tree along with it, but copying a tree and then placing Sketch into the tree folders won't work. When you Sketch the floorplan, that is auto creating the "folders" with those room icons you see on the Grouping Tree instead of the folders you see here. I don't have to Sketch all that often when I work with contractors as it's usually roof/exterior damage that we're dealing with, so the copying and pasting of a tree will work for me as I'm entering the measurements into each line item.
