Looks good sounds good BUT the deal breaker for me is lack of a clutch manual. I admit it’s old fashioned but to me a drivers car means they have full control of the car. But all parties concerned done a good job.

I have a question a lot of the people test drive the Supra has one complain is the noise of the wind when windows are sound like rumbling. Can Tada San update the issue of the wind noise?

Matt C perhaps the manufacturer recommends that, but any engine you care about, especially one that is turbocharged will benefit from more frequent oil changes than that. Oil is cheap, repairs to BMW engines are not.
A great looking car with a great engine, tech and soundtrack to match - with 5K (chip, exhaust, and retrimmed/rebadged MSport/GR Alcantara steering wheel) bob is your uncle!
Great review, completely agree about the steering wheel. The middle bottom section looks terrible, almost like they weren't sure what to do with it so left it blank! Otherwise a dream car!!

Hats off Toyota for bringing back the big dog. Spent may hours back in the 90's in these babies and loved blowing away the local V8's. I really like this car and BMW is a great partner for a straight 6. Just need a 6 spd manual for those that want it......I have more fun and more involved in the driving experience when driving with the H pattern.
There already problems reported with the steer rack leaking oil. Typical BMW quality. .and since BMW announced they will cancel the Z4, the Supra will be dead as well.

did you not see the video? its not 1990.. it's electrical. You can check all your fluids in the dash. simple and easy, if you actually want to see the reservoirs for the fluids all of those plastic pieces just clip off easily, they made it simple to take off so you can work on or upgrade engine components. Won't look as clean but you'll be able to see it if that's what you wana do.. lol
Toyota & BMW should collaborate again designing a high end utility work vehicle based on the Hilux, like Nissan & Mercedes Benz with their new X pick up ute based on the Navara. They will sell hot cakes just like the SUV’s of today. 👍🇯🇵🇩🇪
Other than the interior rattle at the door, b pillar, and center console; RPM stuck at idle; EPS issue. It’s a great car...lol...it’s part BMW so it’s expected.
I’m also on the boat about wanting a manual clutch operated Supra. #savethemanuals Also you forgot to mention the wind noise that enters the cabin whilst the windows are down and travelling at speed. Some youtubers have already pointed this issue out. They believe not enough wind tunnel testing was done.
I sat in one yesterday. DIdn't like the 6 fake holes in the seat headrests (in addition to the 10 fake exterior vents). Outward visibility is terrible, the windshield's vertical height is so short between the dash cluster and ceiling, also short is the vertical height between the top of the infotainment screen and bottom of the rearview mirror.

Shoulda asked him, why didn’t he have Yamaha build the engine instead 😆... they already have the factories. It would’ve been as legendary as the 2000GT, Beams engine, LFA, etc.
If you have no money as a company (Toyota nr 1 in the world???) to build a new supra (with a Japanese interior and the famous engine (3)2JZ), don't make it or call him 'TZ4'. Imagine you buy a 'CAYMAN', you open the door and you see a 'VOLVO'-interior. Not possible and no discussion about it. And what about the legendary reliability?? (BMW-engine is good for 6/7 years!). I don't understand the decision of the chairman Akio Toyoda to build such a car (to supply and pay the Germans!!). Shame on you, Toyota, shame on you.
@@PaulMaric When the US Supra was announced Tada-san let loose that the US delivered Supra had a more unrestricted tune then other markets which allowed for more pops and crackles from the exhaust. Do you know if this is the same case with the AUS delivered Supra?

Mazdas working with Toyota anyway once 2020 comes plus the fact that the Mazda i6 might even be put in future Toyota models like the next gen Lexus IS and possibly the mk5.
This is the way I see it - if they did develop their own engine, this is virtually the only car you could use it on. The rest of Toyota's V6 product is a familiar V6 or turbocharged V6 layout that presumably wouldn't suit this chassis. The B58 is one of the best engines on the market today.

@@Alby911 actually if you go check some videos on taking the interior off, you will see the interior is actually Toyota branded and the engine was bmw, now that its in the supra it did get a change to more Toyota since its a bit different from the previous b58's.
Because I have driven a Supra on PlayStation for over 15 years, and have one as my wallpaper on my device, I am absolutely qualified to pass judgment on this car that I will never drive! Also I hate BMWs, because I associate with a low socioeconomic background, and regardless of how good they are, European cars trigger my self hatred. Only my opinion counts
I like the review. But no one reviewing a car like this needs to mention a capped price servicing. $385. Hells bells you buy a 100 grand car and you don't give a toss about service prices. Odd input.
@@PaulMaric It really just highlights how over inflated the "luxury" car segment can be when it comes to associated service costs. Everyone should invest in a good accredited independent mechanic when buying cars from this segment.
Supra. This is a true sports car platform developed from the ground up. The current B58 is a Toyota assisted redesign. The M2 is a modified 2 series chassis that is shared with the 4 door hatch.
I did cross that bridge when I decided to pull the trigger on this. I've driven both and I love the M2 Competition but with faster versions coming, it'll likely devalue quicker than the Supra. And, the 2 Series platform is getting on now...it's one of the last ones that is yet to be replaced.

Its actually 50k US. 60-65k(apparently from what people say)in the UK and like 80-almost 90k in Australia(tax reasons for it having such a high price).

Did you watch the interview with the chief engineer after the review? He said there will be a manual transmission Supra. Halalulia !!

I have a m140i, it uses the same engine and oil changes are every 20-25k!

If you watch the review you’ll understand why the exterior vents are closed. Visibility is great for a sports car.

Greg Wallace I actually mentioned it because I was surprised how cheap it was. Despite all the BMW components, you’re not paying BMW servicing costs.
