Toby is still a puppy himself, his breed takes a really long time to fully mature
And cats take awhile to understand the play bow from dogs because that’s not their signal for play.
If Found a true Woman really liked that life I would build it. And live in bliss.

I laughed when he said he is not a cat person, that would be like if he said that he is not a dog/duck person. 😃 My grandfather used to say that he didn't like animals while he was holding my cat like a baby, which the cat allowed. I look forward to watching your content about your farm.

Lol! I’m allergic and I’m still a cat person! I just can’t live with them in my house. I work with them and can’t say no to giving them attention when out and about. Sadly, where I live, we have a huge stray population, but charities that do free neuter/spay, if you can trap the cats and bring them to them.

As someone who used to work with cats: from what I'm seeing in the cats interaction, its looking very good so far. Neutral responses are always a good sign, as long as nothing is overtly negative (some hissing or growling is okay as they define their personal bubble with each other). They just need more time and to move at their own pace. And its good your petting them near each other, it creates a positive association with one another. Keep it up!
Indifference is as close as a cat gets to loving you so enjoy every moment of it

Throwing bad tomatoes over my 8ft garden fence into the chicken yard and watching the chickens go after them is a lot of fun too.
my neighbor has a free range hen that I love tempting into my yard with gone-off produce so I can coo at her and pet her 😅

For sure, we've had 3 dogs and after all 3 passed away from old age I convinced my parents to get some cats, we've never been against cats but we didn't think they would be as loving as dogs, we weren't ready to have more dogs but the house felt empty and sad without any animals. We found two brothers who were inseparable and had to be adopted together. Both of them are super loving, they come ask for pets, lay on top of us purring and even lean their heads towards us asking for kisses. It's for sure different to a dog's unconditional love but there's no way you can have a cat look at you and slowly blink showing happiness and say that they're not loving.
The geese and ducks charge out every single morning as if they have been locked up for decades while the chickens just stroll out in a calm and orderly manner it never fails to make me laugh. UK
It seems as if the chicken s have more brain cells while it's actually the other way around lol

Having chickens is awesome because literally nothing goes to waste, I think it’s so funny watching my birds fight over old produce, worms, and occasionally a dead mouse like the tiny velociraptors they are.
I call my chickens velociraptors too. A hawk killed a dove right beside my run one time and the chickens scared the hawk off and stole the dove and ate it 🤢
Growing up on my grandpop's farm, we used to go down to the pond in the summer, catch tadpoles and bring them back to feed them to the ducks and chickens.
Love Toby’s new yard! A couple more days and he’ll get confident with the doggy door. He’s nearly there. The little signs are gorgeous and the whole thing looks really sweet, and I’m sure he’ll appreciate having his own bird free space to retreat to.
They really are lucky cats with their new lives with you and Allison! Every cat's dream ❤

As I understand it, a cat has to be over 6 months old to appreciate the effects of catnip. Otherwise, they just ignore the scent.
my cat doesnt even care about cat nip, in fact theres a lot of cats who dont like cat nip so this may not work

Good to see the cats are adapting and exploring. It means they definitely accept that this is there home and they're ok with pablo. Seeing the one that close to pablo is awesome. I also love seeing those runner ducks. They just look hysterical running around like they do.
Toby loves the new kitty's 😁 Eventually they'll figure out that they can boss him around a bit and eat his food 😄.
I see Pablo trying to casually show himself to Molly. I think they'll be good partners. Molly will be taking Pablo's food soon.
Thank you for giving Toby his own feeding area. I know some people told me “he could run them off if he really wanted to” or “he enjoys it”, but that just didn’t seem right to me. It looks great!

If you really want to keep Pablo out, look into how using 45degree barriers work. If cats look up and see something overhead they won’t jump onto it. So if you put just some netting on the top of the gate that is angled out at 45 degrees then he won’t jump up onto the gate. I’m sure you can find more using the googles.

So glad you desexed your cats. I recently did a placement at a cat shelter, and about 70% of the cats they had were local farm cats where the population had just skyrocketed

I discovered your channel a couple months back, and all I can say is I’m beyond grateful. i don’t have a healthy home environment, it’s very toxic. The only non toxic person in my life is my dog Sebastian (super mutt:) Watching your videos and Toby grounds me and helps me cope. And honestly I’m not much of a fan anything that’s outside the city life. But now that mindset has changed since. Please keep being yourself and taking care of yourself, family and farm. It truly brings me happiness and serenity much love

You could build a little climbing rack on the fence of the dog/cat house, Ginny seems to love climbing and sitting n places with a good view.

Your morning glories are gorgeous! I love the blue ones! They are very good plants if your want some climbing decor on fences. I tell you a fence line of morning glories is a nice addition to anyone's garden. Not to mention your bees will love you for it.

Love how Morgan still declares he is not a cat-person......sobbed his heart out and spent $$$$ to save Lil. The 3 outdoor cats trust him as well. Toby has the nicest personality, play-bowing to Molly. She just doesn't 'speak' dog yet. All the animals are blessed to call GSF home. Yes, even the freezer camp candidates. A nice life with sunshine, fresh air and freedom. Pity the poor factory raised birds.

I really envy you garden, i most likley will never have livestock but having a garden where i can grow my own food is such a big goal in my life! Its just so fullfilling to be able to provide for yourself

It is very nice that you play with her even tho she's an inside cat now, playing with your cat and spending some time with her is super healthy for her and makes her much more happy.
I really love how you treat your animals and how you really seem to have a nice variety of animals with great personalities and how they respond to you and you to them as well. You really have a beautiful place coming along and you should really take pride in what you’re accomplishing. I find it my day is brighter when I get to walk along with you as you open the doors and “release the animals” 😃❣️ thank you for letting me live vicariously through you and to share joy on your farm as I am no longer able to live online. I think it one of the kindest man I’ve ever known to so many animals❣️❣️
The way Toby is behaving with the cats is pretty much perfect. From what we see in the past videos he seems to know how to communicate with them, his body language is very non-threatening to the cats, almost dismissive (just like cats like it). Then in this video we can see him trying to play with them, while keeping his distance and never cornering them. I think with time they will become great friends.

In three months you’ll think they’ve always been there.
Since Jenny is a baby you can train her to be where you want her and so if you want her to be more comfortable about being in Tobys yard and in his upstairs house, you should start picking her up and taking her over there after he eats just to let her know it’s ok to be there and that will bring her and Toby together. Or that’s the theory anyway and that takes time to. Don’t make her stay, just take her over there with you for a few mins and then let her run off if she wants.
You don’t have to do that it’s just a little tip trick for if you want to. You can also try that with the mom cat to but don’t take them both at the same time cause it won’t work out at all if you do.

I've had cats my whole life and have allergies to them too. I find taking apple cider vinegar tablets or even drinking it works better with my allergy issues than taking allergy pills. Even rubbing vicks vaporub occasionally on my neck helps too cuz the vapors help clear up my congestion issues.

Those cats look great together, they look slightly cautious as unfamiliar with each other. Having them that close with you petting both, and no hissing, its a great sign. Even the little "hiss" was just fast movement that he wasnt prepared for.

Your cats are geting along unbelievably good! I think its because they have so much space to run away, while in apartment smaller cat could not get to food or litter, because "its not their territory".
Would you ever want to put mulch over the mud/dirt in the pins with birds? I bet a ton of bugs would come to live in the mulch as well for the chickens to eat.

It is good that Ginny is a bit shy natured. Shy outdoor kittens usually live long lives, because they are careful of new things such as cars❤
