My mom ran over her car keys with a lawnmower and destroyed the only key she has for her 2000 Ford Focus. The transponder is destroyed but the key is fine. Can I use the CK 100 to program new keys even though her key won’t start the car anymore? She only had 1 car key to begin with. Thanks
HI I found a 28 page referencing all the vehicles and years the ck 100 can work with. I have it in the pdf format. I cant seem to use the utube format as a vehicle to send it to you.So, do you have an email address that I may use to get that information to you? That will alot of issues on my end and get the information to you straight away..let me know.
Question.Considering the fact some immoblizers require a minimum number of keys in the system to operate properly, when called out to generate a key for such a vehicle when all are lost, will you delete all the keys in the memory and program 2 news ones or will you leave the old ones so that you just have to program 1?
lokpikr999 well honestly it’s up to the customer really, when a customer loses the car key i recommend to delete all keys and add 2 new keys to the vehicle, but there are some customers that don’t want to purchase 2 keys and prefer 1
Is 4c glass and 4c transponder chip different? I did a 98 explorer and all I had was a regular 4c transponder and I wasn’t able to program but when I check with my vendors it shows up 4c glass
I have an 99 expedition i bought with no keys am i able to use the lock cylinder and key out of another car and program that key to this car? And how can I program the key without a scanner I seen you mention an on board method
@@californialocksmithco if the key out of the used car and the expedition are both h72-pt keys will it work? So there is no on board method? I do have access to a ford ids scanner
Quick question. I work for a company that owns and sometimes uses a Ford F350 dump truck. We have 6 employees that are allowed to drive it (and are on the company insurance). But, only 2 keys for it. Passing these 2 keys around between the 6 employees is often problematic. The company owner wants each of these people to have a key, but the dealership charges a ridiculous amount to make new ones (plus it's pretty far away). Would it be easier to get 4 blanks for the truck, have them cut, and use a handheld device (like the JMD "Handy Baby") to clone the transponder in the 4 new keys off of one of the original keys? Or, would it be better to have them cut and then program them each to the car as shown in the video? Basically, should we buy a device like yours to program from the OBD port, or should we buy a handheld RF programer/cloner for the new keys instead? Which option is least expensive? Which specific brand/model of device/s would you recommend?
I would recommend getting a programmer like a (ck100) if you have other cars that you might need keys to. I personally would just buy a ck100 then go on amazon and order 2 Ford h92pt transponder keys and get them cut and then program yourself. Just remember that when you are about to program, press the (add a key) function, it’s crucial.
@@californialocksmithco wow, thank you so much for all this info. I actually had a few other minor questions but I decided not to ask them because I didn't want to annoy you. To my knowledge, only some Toyota's and ford have key codes sometimes printed on the lock itself inside the door. If you can get ahold of the original dealer and prove ownership they might be able to give it to you as well
I know that a lot of tractor keys (John Deere, Cat, ETC) are universal. Are the older (60s-80s) the same way? My grandpa has an 60s-70s Ford dump truck and the last person to use it lost the key. Would I be able to use the one out of our 84 F250, or would I need to have another key made?
I have a question, I have an 02 Dodge Ram 1500. I lost my one and only key to it and was told if I go to the dealer that I could give them my vin number in which I did, however after they made the key it doesn’t work. I don’t understand why it doesn’t seems like it should so I brought it back to them and they checked it again and said it should be right. It won’t work on my door locks or the ignition. They key I had was original so I know that the ignition has never been changed. Could they have put in the wrong code by mistake is that possible?
Yes, the ck100 can be used for a situation where all the keys Are lost. I recently purchased a Honda pilot where All the keys and remotes were lost. I researched the situation very carefully asking all the right questions so I wouldnt purchase something useless for my expectations. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE three transponder keys and three remotes compatable with my vehicle. You shouldnt have any trouble.
The only complaint I have with the ck100 is that it didn't come with any written instructions or references to for any guidance online. I found it to be straightforward and things went smoothly.

Aaron Marcus thanks for taking the time and viewing my video. Your going to need a h92pt transponder key, also get a fob that matches your year and model of Ford you have, you can usually get them cheap on amazon, and they work great.
