Can't thank you enough for this outstanding tutorial. Special thanks for the really granular demo of the piano intro! Mr. Kelly of King Harvest must be delighted to hear his song being passed on by a talented transmitter! Cheers
Ive watched about 10 tutorials on this awesome piece. Your breakdown is really helpful, I had the intro from other videos but you just wrapped it up for me. Now to smooth it out. Thank you.
Man, I respect you so much. You've just opened me what it is like to play the piano. Can you believe it, but I graduated from musical school, and I used to play only classical things from scores all that time. It was incredibly dull. So the only thing I'm thinking now is, why haven't I found this tutorial earlier?
Awesome lesson, I can’t believe this was just a school project for you. This is the first song I’ve ever learned (fully) on the piano, I learned the intro from a much simpler version but they didn’t show the full song, so I found your video. I wasn’t sure if I could do it but after a couple days it sounds amazing and I actually kinda like the contrast in the transition between my simple intro with your beautiful rendition! Only problem is I’m playing it on a keyboard which is infuriatingly small enough to barely miss the very last chord of the song…
Damn bro, i have never touched a piano (im a guitarist) and this honestly gave me the easiest time of my life until the chords l, note i suck so don't mind the codes. 10/10 for people who can play atleast 2 chords
What is order of the sections through the whole song? I know it’s mentioned, but I didn’t get it from the video. Repeat ABABC? Play AB once, then repeat ABC until the end? Btw Awesome tutorial. Thanks!
@@danielorta8563 I just started learning it, and I started out with the C G C G as well! Something didn't sound quite right - finally figured out it was the B flat.
Yeah he’s going way too fast I love the tutorial but it’s the best sounding one on UA-cam but the speed he goes at is too fast for most intermediate pianists even pros can barely keep up
@@shaheenmorakkabi6500 I respectfully disagree, I don't think I qualify as an intermediate and this is very helpful. there are some other videos especially on the intro you might want to check out and come back to this. His breakdown did it for me. Good luck.
@@shaheenmorakkabi6500 a pro could play the song just from listening to it, it's a little fast for my liking as well but I think you're over exaggerating lol
A couple of years later,... Just starting piano at 63. I remember when this song came out (I was a sophomore in high school). Thanks for posting!
As an 18 yr old, you can’t understand how jealous i am. If only i could enjoy todays music for a lifetime the way these classics can be
@@bryanlafferty4631 DO NOT get in a hurry! You’ll be my age and realize just how quick it all passed. Savor each and every moment.
@@chriscrawford1958 good advice!
Ok 1:51 in "One fifth, two fifth, red fifth, blue fifth" utter genius. That destroyed me.
Well done.

YEEESSSSSSS!!!
you should tell us the notes you play when you announce what chord your playing for those of us who arent familiar with every chord
The third note of the intro should be a b flat.
Oh shooot u right that would sound rly good

i hope you got 100%
Awesome!... third note should be a B-flat though, not a C. ;-)
Thx for the scare lmao
