Mazda has really stepped up their interiors these days, CX9 which is available in USA 🇺🇸, Canada 🇨🇦 Australia 🇦🇺 comes with real wood manufactured by Japanese Guitar making company.
I really like your review style because you always make sure to make it contextual for people who are going to buy the car...for regular people. Too many reviews focus on specs and “which is the best on paper” etc.
As a side note...28-29 mpg US is not very impressive to me. Our EPA rates the front-drive with the 2.5L at 28 mpg, and the all-wheel drive version at 27 or 26 depending on trim. Consumer Reports got 27 mpg with their AWD example. I wish that Skyactiv-X did better.

I love Mazda and this new CX30 is very well design ! It would of course look better with a red painting but dark grey looks good too ! I love the cabin with a good quality of materials. The infotainment screen should be touch sensitive to be more practical especially for using Android Auto. But fuel economy is not so good compared to what Mazda promised. Thank you Anna for your amazing reviews ! I hope you will be able to review new cars after quarantine's over. ❤❤😊😊

Hi Ingvar, thank you :-) The CX-30 is a little less comfortable than the CX-5, because it sits a little lower and the suspension is a bit stiffer. On the other hand, it's easier to manage, simply because of its size.
Wouldn’t exactly set your pulse racing in a car park but a nice looking well made and kind of tech laden try. A lot of Mazda owners re buy so they must be doing some things right. So Anna how I’ve missed you and to know you’re safe and well , being my fave girl in the world especially in jeans and roll neck , todays video has not changed that opinion and nothing will actually. If I'm not mistaken, the Skyactiv X engine requires petrol with Euro 6 quality standard. That means markets outside of Europe won't get the engine for the time being.
I used to have a speed 3 in college and shared it with my bros. Once I went into Corporate America I upgraded to the A3. Back then, the interior difference between mazda and audi was night and day. But, I have to say, the new Mazda interiors are giving VW a run for it's money. However, I am not so sure I agree with ICE being more efficient long term than EV's though, especially if a good chunk of your electricity is renewable.
Some of the electricity might be renewable but impact of the rare earth used to build the EV seems to be totally looked over. Not really a straight apple to apple comparison issue.
Anna, Why don't you make more videos with mazdas? The Mazda CX-5 is one of today's best-selling SUV in the world. I've never seen any cx-5 analysis on your channel, except the snow trip. Mazda has the best cars in the world with a magnificent design. Big kiss!

1️⃣ for me, mazdas start to be boring after years of pretty unchanged kodo design across whole lineup. 2️⃣ I don't think skyactiv-x is a good engine: take old good naturally aspirated petrol engine, add supercharger with electromagnetic clutch (which adds a lot of complexity to ecu/software), then add special sensors for spcci (which in case of malfunction mean serious problem - possibly destroying the whole engine). then add two worst things from diesel engines - EGR and particle filter. finally, add mild-hybrid technology and voila, here you have skyactiv-x, overcomplicated wannabe diesel-like petrol engine with terrible fuel economy and average performance. why, mazda, why? toyota hybrids will kick this engine's ass big time. 3️⃣ anyway, I like the idea of carbon-neutral ICEs running on renewable fuels (like methanol made of recycled CO2) in the future as an alternative to electric cars. but not the skyactiv-x way
Yeah, see, MPG standards are increasing and people demand more MPG from their engines. Thus, you have to make this. Plus, everyone complained about turbos when they first came, well, no one bats an eye now. As with all tech, there will be gremlins at the start and they are ironed out over time. Unless you're an American auto company, in which it is an endless stream of bad quality

Mazda engineers calculated, that if they can make at least 62mpg, their ICE car will have the same overall carbon-footprint as an EV, both with 124k miles driven. Mazda is still far behind. Besides, when Mazda started the Skyactiv tech, they calculated that they can increase thermal efficiency of the ICE up to 56%. With skyactiv-x they are at some 38% (afaik) with only marginal increase over skyactiv-g. again, far behind expected 56%. even Toyota's dynamic force engine has 41% efficiency.
I see that there is a confusion here. This version of Skyactiv-X is not supposed to deliver 56% of total efficiency, that is still under development. Please also keep in mind that this vehicle features a conventional automatic transmission with 6 gears as well as AWD system. They are increasing the fuel consumption. As with all engines, Skyactiv-X has its own characteristics. At full load, fuel consumption may not be so much different from Skyactiv-G (But please keep in mind that I am referring to 122 hp version, compared to Skyactiv-X delivering 180 hp!); however, at low loads, Skyactiv-X (180 hp) is significantly better than Skyactiv-G (122 hp) concerning the fuel consumption.

Great review Anna. Mazda is definitely up there game with there car styling. Mazda's always look good in there metallic red. It is good to see companies looking at how to solve a problem in different ways, Yes I know that it's EU/UK that has made it a problem and I know that it doesn't help got people like Greta Thunberg sticking their feelings into the whole situation. To be honest I think Greta is a puppet that a big "green peace" type of organisation that is using her to be a face of it because they think that nobody going to say No but instead run around trying to keep them happy but I might be wrong. Gotta be careful when bashing those "climate slacktivists"... Also if you're gonna showcase the driving experience why not go through the other practicalities as well, even the little things such as boot space, passenger comfort, driving position, etc. All of us are petrolheads here but if anyone's looking for a car review I think talking about all the little things that the car makes you feel (not just the responsiveness of the pedal and engine noise) is just as important to connect with your audience.
Too expensive for no Power!!!! Design and Quality is superb but too expensive. You need aTurbo Engine and not the Sky Active X!!!! In Europe it´s Ok but not in the USA or Great Britain. That´s non EU land and there is no need for CO2 reduction. The 2.5L Turbo would be fine in the CX-30.

I have test driven this car (X engine 180hp) and it is quite lame to drive and not that efficient either. My CX5 Turbo Diesel (190hp) leaves this lightweight for dead in every way.

Great review Anna. Mazda is definitely up there game with there car styling. Mazda's always look good in there metallic red. It is good to see companies looking at how to solve a problem in different ways, Yes I know that it's EU/UK that has made it a problem and I know that it doesn't help got people like Greta Thunberg sticking their feelings into the whole situation. To be honest I think Greta is a puppet that a big "green peace" type of organisation that is using her to be a face of it because they think that nobody going to say No but instead run around trying to keep them happy but I might be wrong. Also if you're gonna showcase the driving experience why not go through the other practicalities as well, even the little things such as boot space, passenger comfort, driving position, etc. All of us are petrolheads here but if anyone's looking for a car review I think talking about all the little things that the car makes you feel (not just the responsiveness of the pedal and engine noise) is just as important to connect with your audience.

Too expensive for no Power!!!! Design and Quality is superb but too expensive. You need aTurbo Engine and not the Sky Active X!!!! In Europe it´s Ok but not in the USA or Great Britain. That´s non EU land and there is no need for CO2 reduction. The 2.5L Turbo would be fine in the CX-30.

I have test driven this car (X engine 180hp) and it is quite lame to drive and not that efficient either. My CX5 Turbo Diesel (190hp) leaves this lightweight for dead in every way.
A Loser Car without the 2.0l Skyactive X or the wonderful 2.2l Turbo Diesel with 150 or 184HP!!!!
