Beautiful. Thank you for this. It would be nice to have a version for a female. Also, what was the reason for skipping so many words shortly after the pause?
maybe? In the Conservative version of El Male Raḥamim, the words "and in whose memory charity is offered by… so and so…" are omitted. www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/el-male-rahamim
@@loo2yooI found the answer. Actually, the skipped words say that you will contribute to charity in memory of the deceased. This is after the quiet spot (blanks) where the deceased name would be spoken.
How come you skip the line that says "b'avur she'bli neder eteyn tzedaka b'ad ha zakhor nishmato"? Also, you add "ana" right before you say "baal harachamim". Why is that not written in the book?
@@ronlevenberg2985 I have not found an answer but now that you alerted me again to this I can ask some people in my world why she did that. I think they will know.
@@lorileifer613 Thanks for responding. I figured out the answer to my question. The omitted phrase means "Because of this, without making a vow, I will give charity on account of [his or her] soul’s memory".
Thanks. I just buried my granpa. Love your voice. Shalom.
I love your voice. Thank you for sharing this! I am learning about Jewish burial customs for school and now I will never forget the El Malei Rahamim.
Thank you for singing the prayer and pointing to each Hebrew word. Shalom
toda raba. very helpful and thank you for pointing to the text so we can see the words skipped.
man spürt wirklich die Heiligkeit dieser worte , sie haben gott sei Dank. Schon ganz vielen Menschen geholfen. Und ins herz abgegeben
Beautifully done, todah.

That is where it is personalized by adding the name of the deceased
