Why do we keep portraying Jesus & others around him as white?
We know the region he’s from & it was to hot for people to be so white.
The Bible says he had hair of wool, why do we keep portraying him as white????
His skin should be dark & his hair should be curly not straight.

dont worry of the color......just worry of the Truth in him that He is the only one died and rose again and still living and thats where we instill our Faith in HIM not color issue......remember Adam and Eve we are not told the color also but we mostly see white people...........

We don't know what day Jesus was actually born and I do agree that it's obviously not overly important because if it was God would have given that information in the Bible.
But some of your analysis is completely off base. Google searches reveal the following information. December temperatures in Bethlehem usually range from a low of 47 to a high of 57. Sheep don't need the additional shelter you talked about until temperatures fall below 30°. Snow does occur but is an extreme rarity in the entire country.
The December 25th date has been calculated through Jewish tradition about prophets and their lifespan based on the Easter date range. I do not remember the exact formula but it made more sense than your Roman Holiday explanation.
Finally, it's not important what date he was born on. What is important is that he was born and we celebrate that birth on December 25th. We celebrate his birth, not the day. The fact that the date is used for any other reason is totally immaterial/ irrelevant.
