I am not a Jew but rather a Muslim Roma girl and this touches my heart greatly. Deep respect for all Jewish people. 🤍

I admire this declaration. I love this music, which seems to me to have Arab or Muslim influence.

I found my way here as I was reading Tim Snyder's Bloodlands. Auschwitz prisoners chanted it daily. I had to hear it.

i don't think this prayer is really meant to be a beautiful thing, but rather moving. perhaps this is a better version: ua-cam.com/video/vB5yaDpYavg/v-deo.html

This is the second most sacred song, El Male Rachamim, in the Jewish religion. It commemorates the deceased people. This hymn is sung during a memorial service remembering the person, or people that passed away. The most sacred Jewish prayer, of course,is Kol Nidre sung on the night of Yom Kippur, the 25 hour period where Jews atone for sins commited in the previous year, and also on this holiday people ask GOD to help them do better in the coming year.

Kol Nidre the most sacred?? Maybe the most beautiful tune, but it's just a waiver of pledges, as a kickoff to the holiday. In my opinion, Azi's rendition here of the Kel Molei is too prettyfied, not authentic

@@skylerskoal depends on where you're from. It's very traditional for many - Azi honoring a traditional style some are familiar with.

Wer so singt , der har Gott im Herzen und in jeder Faser seines Körpers.
Tief bewegend und troestlich trägt das Gebet über die Höhen und in den Tiefen des Lebens

As a British Jew (we've been disturbed recently over much reporting of antisemitism within sections of one of our leading political parties) I fee that the more amazing stuff like this that Azi and his fellow Cantors put out there, the better. You can read in many of the comments below all of his videos that Jews and those of other faiths and none come together to express their appreciation of Jewish religious music. That can only be a good thing. I want to see and here lots more of this on social media. You imply that vanity is his motivation for uploading this content. I beg to differ; emphatically......
