Have missed HCAV and the lovely Cavalry blacks. Plus my favourite guard plus beard. Not sure about the beard but great to see them back.

I found a site called The Household Cavalry Network , there's a short clip of them riding on Hayling Island beach , also some old photos one looks like it's from the 1920's ! Gent walking past in a top hat ! Great to see some familiar faces , two and four legged , I may be one of the few but I rather like the beards 😁. Lovely Brutus with the troop of police horses 😍. That Marine Corps mascot is actually a beagle. It looks like snoopy well in the United States. Our Marine Corps mascot is the English bulldog that’s right bulldog, and you got Snoopy the bagel.😂😂😂

Why does no one talk to the horse? The horses lean into them and look at them, so why not at least say "Hello"? I don't understand it. I almost didn't recognize that trooper with his beard and mustache! 😁 Tourists seem to have no situational awareness at all. I thought it was just my spouse who was like that, guess I was wrong. Abdullah did show that mascot yesterday. It was cute too. I thought he probably needed some oxygen after about 5 minutes in that outfit. Yikes, it did look hot and claustrophobic to me. I've decided that I will vote for Twinkles. That's a local inhabitant of the zoo. A Gorilla like him seems to have more sense. I love to see these soldiers, they are very professional. Plus they have gorgeous mounts! Thanks John, it was great to see HCAV back!

Absolutely. The jackboots are wood to provide a frame for the leather. That’s why they have to walk a little oddly. There is no give on those boots at all.

Actually John, I’m very partial to the Marine Corps. My husband was a Marine he thought Vietnam. He came home only to get a motorcycle accident and lose his leg and I lost him to a heart attack 18 years ago but I’ve had the bulldogs ever since then once my medical service animal And then there’s a house dog who has a bulldog oh I like my English bulldogs not the French those things are crazy I like my big couch potato English bulldog😂😂😂😂

You are correct. The trooper on Rarden is my friend ❤. He was one of the four honour guard for King Charles at the trooping he came in first among the lifeguard and 4th over all for the Elizabeth cup.

All the time they put into their kit I do not blame them for yelling when someone touches their boots, you can probably see yourself in the shine.
To measure a horse, you should make sure they are standing on an even surface and measure from the ground directly up to the highest point on their withers. It's best to use a measuring stick marked with hand intervals. Usually you would say the horse is 15h when referring to their height. You commented that the horses all seemed the same size. Military usually looks for uniformity in size as it helps with uniformity in gait, moving in a 'parade' or 'ceremonial' fashion. I finally figured out what colour the horses are that have the reddish coat that the female Guards ride. They fit under the colour "sorrell". I learn something new every time I watch your posts.😊

Just saw a short video someone else posted and the guard that yelled get off my boot actually had to yell at someone else before that bigger yell. I think he had enough. I know if I had to polish those boots and keep them up good I wouldn't want anybody touching them either. LOL

I really don't have time to comment on inconsiderate people who don't realize that they are not there for their entertainment and so they can take pictures that is their job if no one showed up ever they would still be there.. on another note did they crack down on the Christmas card scam that people were doing taking their pictures and making cards and selling them
That channel did a slight name change and also altered the description to state they weren't affiliated with the any regiment and they rarely seem to film at Horse Guards now (though did film briefly at the parade ground at the back of Horse Guards just the other day). They do film a great deal around Buckingham Palace/The Mall and also Hyde Park near the barracks and now also narrate, ala John, but often with incorrect information since it's clear they don't research much (if at all) and with no humour whatsoever.
Great to see the Life Guards back and using their boot as well. Biden all the way. That one lady certainly got her "thrills" down her front. That poor Gatesman, had a rough time walking.

WHY are the public allowed to constantly maul the Horses, what is wrong with the people who are Supposed to be Protecting both Horse and Guardsman. Its pretty disgusting and could be called ANIMAL cruelty? They must know decent people find this extremely distressing!!!
