- In this video I install the long awaited Eventuri intake! Install was straight forward with a few snags. Overall I'm very happy! The intake sounds great, and this thing rips!!!

What? You could have gone FBO for that price like PWR radiator, PRL intercooler, charge pipe, downpipe, front pipe or a stage 2 spoon turbo that costs the same as the eventuri kit. Eye candy for 2800usd with few horsepower at the crank 🤔

If you really are just looking for intake pop off noise, just buy a k&n drop in…but if you want power and sexy as well….😊
Just a point of criticism on the sound. You should have put it in a mode without the piped in artificial engine sounds. It may have produced a more accurate portrayal of the sounds you're hearing.
I need to find, and unplug that crap. I can't stand the piped in sound! Car sounds great without it!
I did just get a new microphone setup. I wonder how terrible it would be if stuck one of the microphones inside of the air box. It may be INCREDIBLY loud.
@@pointbypatrol inside the air box will likely just make the microphone peak and sound terrible. Under hood and outside the air box will likely give a good sound. You're gonna have to balance positioning between the intake sounds vs HPFP ticking vs wastegate rattle 😂

If you hook the mic up to something like a zoom h4n, you can adjust the sound to make sure it doesn’t peak. I’ve shot jets taking off of aircraft carriers, loud enough to feel your internal organs vibrating and the sound was fine. I’d be curious to see what a mic in the intake would sound like! Might be overkill but something to consider.
I’ve been grinding more laps on forza Motorsport, VIR, and went from top 5% to top 1% in the world. Should have an FL5 or GR86 within a year or two and am looking forward to putting this practice to the test in real life. Looking forward to more of your lap videos! Thanks for posting as always

Would you do an update video on experience with this intake and any conclusions you have?
@@PeterBurke-wv8dt unfortunately I crashed the white car and the intake was damaged in the crash. It was a fantastic intake and it sounded great. I've switched gears on the black car and went with a PRL.
Sorry to hear that. Could you do a video on the prl compare the 2 cause the price difference is huge. Also performance between the 2.
@@PeterBurke-wv8dt it wouldn't be a fair test. The PRL has a secondary induction near the fender so that it doesn't choke with the hood closed. The PRL has been tested and shown benefits over 400hp. The new engine in the black car is a 4piston engine.

Any thoughts on how it compares to the newly released PRL HVI for the FL5? Looks similar in design. Great vid!
I'm honestly not sure since I haven't had the chance to compare the two. I really wanted an Eventuri on my FK8, but it never happened. So when I saw the pre-order come up for the FL5 I jumped on it!
That's a lot of money for some engine bling
Turns out it's very effective engine bling! There was a notable increase in inlet g/s and spool. Had to adjust the tune to accommodate!
Where did you order yours from? Might wait for comparisons between this and the PRL before pulling the trigger but I'm pretty sold on the eventuri based on looks alone lol
I ordered mine from Dream. I'm betting the PRL is going to be really good too. I just really wanted some carbon fiber ;)

No worries! Got a new one! No you don't have to have power tools for this. Simple hand tools will do the trick!
How does it feel?
I know you unlocked your ecu, but how’s it with no tune?

How do you remove the filter for cleaning? Do you need to remove the whole box the access the side panel?
You will need to remove the side panel. Make sure you have the band clamp for the filter facing the snorkel opening for easier access!
1650 for an intake Jesus 😮 looks nice but 1650 nice damnnn lol
It's pretty costly for sure. Not sure it really unlocks any additional power just yet, but it's about 2 lbs lighter than factory, and lighter is faster ;)
How much was the intake?
They're right at $1650.
Not tuned might as well throw car in bin just running lean all the way to red line. Rule pre turbo must be tuned.
It's tuned :) AFR's held steady in the high 11's
