I love these guys. This video is over a decade old. They add new songs to the roster every time they play it. In a similar vein, did you know that every poem by Emily Dickinson can be sung to the tune of “Yellow Rose of Texas? Every. Single. Poem.
I think my favorite part is that they include the “Canvas Bags” song, by Tim Minchin. Tim had premiered that song IN THIS CONCERT just a little while earlier. It was for a grocery bag recycling PSA that Tim did, and they just shoved it into their song as well.
Fun fact, Ed Sheeran did something similar in court to show how a lot of songs have the same chord progression when someone sued him for using the same chord progression as their song. He won the case easily lol
9mo later, I’m still watching this. It’s effing awesome. Pun intended. Since I support artists by buying their stuff, I got the iTunes version of this song. It was recorded a few years later, in Montreal. They had a slightly different roster of songs. The most crucial one being “Oh Canada”, the national anthem of Canada, which includes Montreal.
Yours was the reaction closest to mine when I first saw this years ago 🙂 You asked for a suggestion? "How to Write a Love Song" by ......... The Axis of Awesome! You won't regret it 😀
I have no doubt! Editor Hubby saw your comment before me and has this on my watch list already! I'm already feeling the set up, but I know it's gonna be worth it. 😂
the chords in question are I, V, vi, IV. in this video they switch between the Key of G and C. In the key of C the chords are C, G, Am, F. In the key of G the chords are G, D, Em, C
You my fine Fellow Fangeek are FAR more talented than I will ever be. My (VERY) brief venture into attempts at playing music were... I made the dogs cry. So that you even know is super impressive to me. I just find people who can make music in whatever way hold a talent that is just special.

Thank you so much for the compliments! We work very hard on these videos .. thank you for following us on this journey!
Wow having all the songs there actually makes this even better, awesome reaction and great work to the editor.
Great aussie act been around forever. For another aussie artist that will give you a chuckle try Tim Munchin - Confessions
Adding it to our list! Thank you for the suggestion.
Anything by Tim brilliant 😀
I enjoyed what your reaction, props to you and your editor. For another humorous one, I would recommend 'Pachelbel Rant' by Rob Paravonian.
So clever, how do we not realise this!
I don't know but not its something I cant forget and it bothers me on multiple levels...

And the chords in question are I - II - V and VI.
My take away from this video: I too, can write a pop hit!
If that was your take away you are both far braver and FAR more talented than me. 😂
Editor Hubby: Hehe
🤦♀️ It's like he hunts for stuff to freak me out or confuse me. 🤣
👍
Straya, mate! Yeah, naah, she's good :)
LMAO! Love it!!
Editing A1 🎉
Thank you! Editor Hubby works really hard on the editing, but this one was just excellent!
So glad you loved it. If you like this sort of stuff try Tim Minchin :)
He is on the list! Thank you for the recommendation!
sad thing is music has been commercially distilled down to 4 chords.
Agree! I was so bothered by this. So so much pain was had.
Pachelbel's Canon in D is notorious for a repeating sequence that makes it popular.
