I recommend " Who is Going to be the One" (Live, Napalm Records) to see just how good the band is. The best interview I have seen is Tatiana on the "Charismatic Voice".(subbed) 💙💛🌻
The bass player, Eugene, does have an amp and a cabinet on stage but it's just for stage sound purposes, his audio line goes to the main console directly from his Helix pedalboard. The same applies to Roman, the guitar player, with a few differences: Roman connects the guitar to the Helix, then he uses the effects loop to send the clean signal to the lead channel of his 5150 III (he only uses it as a pre-amp and with all the knobs set at 6, as he "proudly" likes to point out) and back into the Helix, for a more organic distortion sound. They both use Coffee Cabs. Yes, it's her real hair and believe it or not, Tatiana used to have long dreads (she's a big fan of Reggae in general and of Bob Marley in particular). Some insight to the Pisces video - it sounds "manufactured" as it was put, because it was recorded in a controlled studio setting with a proper room, and they got to use all their cool post-production tricks like automation on eq, compression and stuff that just can't be replicated as well in a stadium/stage setting. There were several layers of guitar and vocals used more or less to fill space in the overall mix - Roman and Tatiana can only play or sing one part at a time and their songs often feature multiple guitar and vocal layers. Another cool trick they do live since cutting down to a single guitarist is Eugene actually sets up a second signal coming from the bass that only contains a snapshot so to speak of the initial attack of his playing and their sound engineer EQ's it and sends it through a guitar amp simulation in Helix then pans it hard opposite to the side of the stage Roman is on so that it somewhat sounds like another guitar player is on stage.
Pisces and Perennial are two of their tamer songs.Who is gonna be the one live Napalm records and Pit of Consciousness live Kiev are much heavier.I’m on board,subscribed 🤘🏼

Great reaction! If you want to see Tatiana behind the scenes there is a video that is only 8 minutes long called "Tatiana Shmayluk (Jinjer) Best Moments #1". There are a few concert clips, but not many and them in Mexico City on Tatiana's Birthday and they have a Mariachi Band that plays for her. You really get to see more of her personality. There is also a #2 and I think a #3.
The band members are all Russian speaking persons. So if you want to check out their interviews you can choose the one in English or in Russian :) In most cases Tatiana or their bassist Eugene (he's kinda manager of the band) was interviewed. Drummer Vlad and guitarist Roman are not as good in English speaking (or maybe they are just a bit shy). Fun fact. Tatiana actually speaks Spanish more or less. And yeah, she always was very into the Mexican culture. She's so into it that her husband is Mexican. It's Alex Lopez, the drummer from Suicide Silence. It seems that ethnicaly Tatiana is not the pure Ukrainian. Not sure but somebody said that she's partly a Tartar. As their bassist Eugene, he's obviously a Tartar. Another fun fact. The drumkit is so small and low because their drummer Vlad actually is a classically trained... pianist. Once his previous band lost their drummer and he replaced him. Vlad prefer to use a lowplaced drumkit, just like a piano's keyboard.
Tatar or Tartar. Crimea Tatar Empire was one of the biggest empires before Russia. Their ancestors were Mongols and converted to Islam later in time. J. Stalin exiled most of them to Russia's other regions during WW2. Therefore Roman and Eugene have Islamic-Tatarian surnames but not Tatiana. I'm not sure about she has Tatarian roots, maybe :)
@@baynuman well Crimea Tatar Empire more correctly called Crimean Khanate. At it's prime it was like a half of Ukraine by its area. Do not confuse it with Golden Horde, empire of mongols and tatars. It realy was one of the largest empires of that times. Crimean Khanate was just a part of the Golden Horde. Eugene is a Tatar. Roman is an Azeri as I know. Tatiana's surname and name are slavic, surname is Ukrainian. But anyways she could be partly Tatar. There're lots of local tatars live in their native area. I'm living there and I could agree that Tatiana's face is not typical for pure Ukrainian or Russian. But it's quite typical for half slavic and half tatarian.
Really recommend Teacher Teacher official video has a great balance of clean vocals and grawls with seamless transitions. Their songs are even better once you understand the meaning behind the lyrics.
I see you found this one, imagine this was the end of their set too, just amazing. Interesting comment about base holding position, I never thought about that but yeah makes perfect sense. She has a good video where she talks about how she developed her scream if you haven't already seen it, yeah I'd watch a reaction to it, here in IT it gets quiet sometimes lol, later!
Both guitar and bass are line 6 helix amp modeling pedal. No amp unless needed but they always use the pedal. Sometimes direct in and out to some coffee cab speakers.
I think Vlad only uses a snare (sometimes a smaller auxilary snare as well) and two floor toms plus a single bass drum... most of his kit is mics, cymbals and pedals hahaha
You also gotta take into account that this song was the last song of their performance. Not sure how long this performance was, but on average they’re usually an hour. So Tatiana basically had been tearing it up on stage for an hour. Idk about anyone else, but I’d probably be unable to use my voice period for a few days after 5 minutes of screaming. She’s use to it, but I’m sure her staying power was past its peak a bit by the end. And she still sounded amazing even using clean vocals. Plus, it looks hot and dusty as hell during this concert too. Who is gonna be the one live performance shows she can growl without sounding like a “frog” outside a studio.
There's a lot of editing on Pisces. Tatiana's ethnic group is tartar which has a mixture of european and asian genes giving her a kinda ethnically ambiguous look. She loves Mexican culture and her throat tattoo is the face of Quetzalcoatl which she got the first time they played Mexico City. She's married to Alex Lopez of Suicide Silence.

So much respect for them. They were about to go on a huge tour with Slipknot when Russia invaded their homeland. They opted to go home and help instead. God bless them and Ukraine

Usually Eugene uses a Coffee Custom's 2X12 and 8x10 cab paired with a Markbass Mark III amp. He has used Ampeg SVT's at outdoor festival's. This may be a rare exception to be going direct into the house. You play better if your bass is higher like Eugene. Ryan Martinie of Mudvayne is Eugene's biggest influence and Ryan has his bass high. A lot of metal bass player's have gone through Berkley School of Bass and most where their bass high. No Pisces was a live take. They got to the studio early so Tati laid down some over dub tracks.
I highly recommend checking out this band slaughter to prevail, id start with the song "baba yaga" it's the most russian video you'll see. A little more background to them the vocalist "alex terrible" is actually real good friends with tatiana (vocalist to jinjer) and they have a MEAN drummer, i'll let the video speak for itself 😉 but on the sidenote i would love to see yalls reaction to "who is gonna be the one by jinjer"

just do yourselves a favor, start with the older Jinjer stuff and work forward in time...it will enable you to grasp so much more about the band as they evolved into what you would hear on the Marco or Wallflowers albums, which themselves are two different sounds. Go back to the first major album, Scissors and Exposed as a Liar as the two songs off the album Inhale Don't Breath (which has everything good from Objects in Mirror(their first album) on it). Then go on to Cloud Factory album in which every single track is worth your time to listen to them, they are amazing energy filled jams. My favorite Outlander & Cloud Factory would be where I would start this, but don't look past No Hoard of Value and Bad Water which are all somewhat protest songs but also recognition to those who work so hard in the mining services. Most people are going to refer you to "Who is going to be the One" as it is a great example of how low Tatiana can get in a live performance with no post production help. I think Cloud Factory does a better showing of her talents as she sustains the lows so much longer and yet with better clarity, having said that, the Official Video is my favorite(though admittedly the teacher outfit might be the final push for why) but the live video from either Kiev or Russia are great ...AWESOME energy filled live performances. Then after you have a great feel for the Cloud Factory Jinjer, move on to King of Everything, where you will hear a completely different Jinjer in which the Jazz history of the band members starts to be really front and center in their works...in fact my fav track on the album is the last one, Beggar's Dance is straight jazz....and when I really need a smile with an uplifting energy, Just Another is my turn to Jinjer happy tune. King of Everything will have you hooked on Jinjer, and begging to get more with Micro...Micro is just an EP though so Macro will be the soon after next long journey of amazing Jinjer music. Wallflowers will come soon enough, but be patient and let the roots of Jinjer hook you into being a full fledge Jinjer fan, for then Wallflowers will offer a song for every faction of Jinjer you find yourself being, and the others will be what you needed.
Who is gonna be the one is her going her lowest tone. Its not right away but you will know the part when it happens, she almost sounds like Satan himself lol. Also there is an interview with tatiana talking about how she learned to scream.
All I want to know is that they didn't get trapped back home in Ukraine......and as an aside, that their families are okay. Can't imagine the stress they're experiencing with this shit happening to their homeland.

Thats because she is using the right technique... Otherwise she wouldn't even be able to talk as loud as she growls.

The "tea time" interview with The Charismatic Voice is good , but you guys should check out these "Tatiana Shmayluk best moments videos"(I think there's three of them but they're not too long if you wanted to watch all 3 at one time) too sea how talented and personable she is

just do yourselves a favor, start with the older Jinjer stuff and work forward in time...it will enable you to grasp so much more about the band as they evolved into what you would hear on the Marco or Wallflowers albums, which themselves are two different sounds.
Go back to the first major album, Scissors and Exposed as a Liar as the two songs off the album Inhale Don't Breath (which has everything good from Objects in Mirror(their first album) on it). Then go on to Cloud Factory album in which every single track is worth your time to listen to them, they are amazing energy filled jams. My favorite Outlander & Cloud Factory would be where I would start this, but don't look past No Hoard of Value and Bad Water which are all somewhat protest songs but also recognition to those who work so hard in the mining services. Most people are going to refer you to "Who is going to be the One" as it is a great example of how low Tatiana can get in a live performance with no post production help. I think Cloud Factory does a better showing of her talents as she sustains the lows so much longer and yet with better clarity, having said that, the Official Video is my favorite(though admittedly the teacher outfit might be the final push for why) but the live video from either Kiev or Russia are great ...AWESOME energy filled live performances. Then after you have a great feel for the Cloud Factory Jinjer, move on to King of Everything, where you will hear a completely different Jinjer in which the Jazz history of the band members starts to be really front and center in their works...in fact my fav track on the album is the last one, Beggar's Dance is straight jazz....and when I really need a smile with an uplifting energy, Just Another is my turn to Jinjer happy tune. King of Everything will have you hooked on Jinjer, and begging to get more with Micro...Micro is just an EP though so Macro will be the soon after next long journey of amazing Jinjer music. Wallflowers will come soon enough, but be patient and let the roots of Jinjer hook you into being a full fledge Jinjer fan, for then Wallflowers will offer a song for every faction of Jinjer you find yourself being, and the others will be what you needed.
