With 8.75" hands, ML may have the potential to fumble. Per ML's 3Y college stats shown in this video, he had 291 attempts and 8 fumbles for 1 fumble every 37 attempts. "Once a fumbler, always a fumbler" is the old adage. I hope that is not the case for Marshawn Lloyd. Plus, come December at Lambeau Field, the chill tends make the ball harder and more difficult to hold. Green Bay is different than the Carolinas and Southern California.
Yes, I feel Lloyd will be productive...and a future starter. He reminds me of MJD..."A bowling ball of butcher knives." I see him in a sub-pckg with 4 TE's or 3 TE's and either Heath, Watson or Dillon. If D goes big Love goes 5 wide. If D goes small, run the ball. Either way D has match-up nightmares.
Around the draft I was a little iffy about Marshawn Lloyd with his fumbling issue but after ota’s and mini camp and this video I think he could be amazing!
His yards per carry and reception are very impressive his last year. However if you fumble and can't block, that will limit your playing time dramatically. Need to fix those issues, to become a legitimate starter. Go Pack! 🏈👍

Bas, your work is simply OUTSTANDING...thanks for all you do! I believe Marshawn will be phased in to the game plan by at least mid season. I like the way MLF and Co. brought Tucker Kraft into action last season and expect a similar scenario. GO PACK GO
With the new kickoff rules, I say try him out at that spot (retuner) year one. As far as how I feel about this kid, I have equal amounts of excitement as I do doubts. Shit loads of talent, but blocking and ball safety needs a lot of improvement at this level. Will be fun to watch regardless.
@@tpnurdle1 yet again we have Nixon he has proven before the rule change he's one of the better returners in the league I get Lloyd is a rookie and we don't know till we know but what's the point of moving a top 5 returner that we just paid for a rookie that we don't know if he'll do well there ykwim
@@k.i.asoviet I agree to your point. But under the new rules, Nixon is unproven. The old kickoff rules a runner is in space, the new rules require someone who can break tackles and get upfield (a running back).
@@tpnurdle1 fair but Nixon has proved he can do that to the point they even gave him rb reps last year when Jones was out so yea (Yes it was a single snap to him but he still went for 11 yards even after some contact at the line If I remember right)
Dude was arguably the best RB in the draft, and the only reason he wasn't inarguably the best was because of his fumbling issue which is mitigated by him splitting snaps with Jacobs and Dillon.
The only concerning thing is the fumble rate, and it’s not a “slight fumbling problem.” His fumble rate is ridiculously high, and has small hands to go with it. There’s not a lot of precedent to fixing fumbling issues with that combination of factors. Love his playmaking ability… but I’m cringing to think about us losing multiple NFC championships because of fumbles.
If he puts the ball on the ground, or misses a block and gets Jordan nailed, we won't see much of him. He has potential but potential gets coaches fired.
Imo, you’re better than Tom, I know, he’s bigger, and all congratz to the guy for what he’s achieved and especially for money he’s raised for charities! But I can’t help but feel, the bigger he’s grown, the more he’s focused on entertainment, I don’t knock him for that, but when I’m looking for simple packer news and opinions, I love your content so much more! ❤
I hate to say it but as much as we deal with injuries….I definitely think he will see a good amount of playing time. He’s going to be a solid running back. I think we got a STEAL in the draft. I’m excited to see him
Bears always find ways to ruin a QB. Imagine if Caleb Williams backfield mate (Lloyd) ends up with a better career. I chuckle just at the thought of this happening.
Make one for edgerrin cooper
I did before we even drafted him
He only has like 5 good plays in 2023.
@@KamikazeJustice that doesn't mean anything

Agreed. His ceiling is incredibly high. I think coming in with Jacobs and Dillon being there is really going to help him in the long run.
The subtle dig at Caleb Williams was amazing. 😂

Marshawn Lloyd looks to me like a great Zone Blocking back which is the Packer's strength.
Marshawn Lloyd will definitely see a lot of snaps. It's foolish to think otherwise
As long as he solves his fumbling problem, he could definitely be real good!
funny that he went from one USC to the other USC
And from being a Gamecock to a Trojan. If you’re a betting man, wager the Trojans to cover the Cocks
They won't see him in the backfield. Terry Metcalf potential.I like that they have the three types or running backs.
By 15 min do you mean 1 hr?
We should have Jacob's #1 rb ,then Loyd # 2 .he's got the power run in him ,where dillion is not .need to see more of him in training camp .
We had a superstar running back, but let him go! We'll see how smart or dumb that decision was this season!

That was #16 fault when Lloyd fumbled. No block at all he would’ve took it to the crib

Could this pick be worse than taking tyron hopper over Peyton Wilson? Time will tell
Peyton have injury history which he had back a back alc injury
Josh Jacobs is washed. Lloyd will be the starting RB by week 6
