Thank you for playing our game and providing your feedback! We had a great time watching your playthrough. By the way, you can configure "Aim to Cursor" or "Dash to Cursor" in the Key Configuration Settings. Also, we've addressed the bug with the Orbbed Gauntlet artifact. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Survivor mode at the end features an entirely different game loop from the main game, so we hope you enjoy the Survivor mode too!
Incredible! The only thing I have left that I'm truly hoping for is a setting to turn off / tone-down the red flash on damage. Is there a possibility something like that could be included for people with sensitive vision?
I was impressed Reto's gamer-sense honed right on into that one randomly specific item. It's almost like he's a professional beta tester lol. Very cool game you guys have here btw.
@@Retromation Thank you for the great feedback! We made the damage flash to emphasize when the player was hit, but we didn't realize it might cause irritation to some players. We added an option to disable the damage flash in the setting menu in the most recent update.
Oh interesting, I thought it was supposed to pick a random spell, but that makes more sense. Imagine pairing that with the guy that casts every spell all at once 🤯. This game is hyping me out
@@CmdrCornif you watch the fire construct boss fight closely, every time he charges he gets the water pillars even though he is not casting that spell.
@Evilman6000 It also says "a equipped spell" which, grammar aside, implies there are multiple equipped spells and it casts one of them. The confusion is justified, honestly.
That gauntlet was breaking the game because you didn't have anything in your main spell slot (on Shift key). It was trying to cast nothing thus freezing your character. Sad that there was a bug with this item, it was pretty good for your build.
This looks great! Reminds me a little bit of Wizard of Legend with the combination of powers and artifacts but more combinatorial freedom and less level traversal. Still would love to see more of this!
Tried the demo, somehow stumbled on a build that just blows everything up just from moving around. I think the main pointer I would give is it's not always easy to tell what's going on to dodge attacks so visual clarity can be improved, but a spell-combo game is a really fun concept.
The reason the physical mana gem spell did less damage was this - the gems already killed everything, so the spell attached to them went off when everything was dead :D
This game seems neat, it's got a lot of fun potential when it comes to combining all the different spell types and trigger effects. Wouldn't mind seeing more of this game!
17:30 Had you taken the slash, you would have the most broken combo. The "When an enemy appears" one produced more mana than needed to cast the slash. So essentially, you could have made it so that every time an enemy appeared, it instantly took 35 damage.
This is such a sweet and cute game, it also has the ability to be broken wonderfully if you understand the mechanics and items, I’d love to see more if there is content to be shown off, I saw the devs saying they fixed some things so I’m already excited
Retro, the mana % increase is based on your Base Mana per second income. On the bottom right side of ur screen at your stats that was vissible. At 15 per sec. Meaning 500% would be 5 X 15 = 75
im so upset he didnt pick the spell finished disc imagine upgrading it so it gives as much mana as it costs to launch a spell! it would infinitely fire
Idk if they watched your video and made these changes or if they were already working it in, but controls are fully customizable now when I just downloaded it. And I would love to see more
So your super awesome glove glitched out because you unequipped your weapon spell and moved it to a disk. For some reason, I do believe that's what happened.
Seems potentially awesome but also like it might get repetitive fast, even with different weapons. Could see a completely different combo of spells and discs and weapon effectively still play out like the run you had, just with different graphics.
Hi there , i just want quickly throw in what i notice and is that . the " on enemy spawn " circle rune was also working on YOUR spawns , what mean the dummy and worms or what ever . it also trigger your ability what make you cast it alot of time when you was simple dashing around putting down dummy and of course when ever you walk in the white circle on ground . that all i want to say . oh well beside great job on the video keep it up , it's all time fun to watch you as you are one of the people who really good at noticing stuff in games while playing and because i just like your voice tone . thanks for keeping up with making videos every day
Yeah, definitely the kind of thing I love as well. Sadly many games that DO have this mechanic (especially PoE...) kill creativity by balancing the game around top builds.
a game that i really loved was magicmaker! the art was like it was made of papercraft but the spell system was so fun it had a ton of interesting options
@@bobbyboswell13 Yeah, I quite enjoyed MagicMaker. You could make some ridiculous spells in that game! Sadly for some reason the last time I replayed it one of the maps seemed to be bugged and I couldn't get a boss to spawn.
I love the concept, but the execution is rough. I've wanted a game focusing on a Tyranny style magic system ever since I played that. Custom magic is such an interesting idea, but it's hard to give enough options to be interesting without making some "the obvious choice". Another pet peeve of mine is having multiple effects that are functionally the same, eg poison, bleed and burn are all dot or freeze and stun both stop movement
I played this awhile back, but it was only a 20minutes till dawn type game. Just one room and facing waves of monsters. It was fun as hell, specially when I learned how to play. After learning about the disks and mana and all that, I just fell in love. But after 1 good run, the game sort of bugged on me and I couldn't selected anything. Even restarting didn't fix it. Thinking about it, pretty sure it was just the demo that I played, lol.

nice that was the big feature keeping me away, ill pick it up when its out. Game looks great
so.. I downloaded the game but still the aim to cursor doesnt work for the charged attack which retro mentioned. Dont know if this is a bug...

The gloves softlocked you cause it tries to cast the weapon skill and you had it empty.
understandable, but definitely still should check if you have a spell there and just _not to cast it_ if there is nothing there haha

Would love a series on this! Looks so dope
This game looks super cool. Really seems like it'll scratch that 'spell puzzle -> delete screen' itch
This game looks great and enjoyable. Lots of different builds you could go for it seems.
Thank you for make me discover this game 👍
This looks fun! Definitely try it again
Voice of Baby from Dinosaurs: Again! Again!
This one seems awesome! I want a series on this!!
For sure would want to see more of this!
The spell trigger reminds me of Path of Exile.
Series? It looks like there are qeapons to unlock, which I would imagine means different charge attacks. That opens up more and more builds.
thanks for making video regarding this game!
It's really cute, although "build a spell" definitely makes me think of Noita.

HONEY WAKE UP NEW NOITA GAME JUST DROPPED
Pretty neat game so far, thanks for checking it out retro!
Definitely interested, once I get my computer working.
The problem with the Orbed Gauntlet, I believe was because you didn't have a weapon spell equipped.
@Retromation you know what brother, I'd say your cognition level is even above average
hey now, those are some big words to be throwing around
@@Retromation Some might say I'm being hyperbolic but I stand by what I said

can change to "aim at cursor" in keybindings . i dunno if this just wasn't in the version u played but its there now

would love to see more of this. Though I dont think ill get it personally unless they change the aim at direction vs aim at mouse haha
Sounds like they already do have that option, but maybe they meant in the next build.

This was sick. Keep playing
They need to add katana as a starting weapon

do more, sounds like a new series!
that artifact likely bugged out cause it didnt have a spell to cast after charge attacking since your didnt have any equipped on your weapon

I feel stupid for not being able to locate the mana. Is it the circles around the disk themselves or the green gem on the left hand side?
welp, found my next game to try
When I read the title I thought you meant Noita.
More?

amazing game, but i guess they could probably improve the movement and aim mechanics

Please, play it mooooooooore

bio prototype evolution type

I live for games that allow me to create my own custom spells. Every game with magic should have such mechanic.
