Be careful with assuming TweenMaker means Tween age group! Tweens is a term in animation to do with adding omages between main movements. From the description that comes with TweenMaker, it seems this one is literally just a slider collection, maybe sub points within a slider (they said they are doing realistic fat distribution) to make it flow more naturally.
see my pinned comment. the guess that is was tweens was from sims community- and another great commenter like you pointed this out- I do think that is more likely, yep!
At the end they are trashing the core fans who grew up with the game for the new kids by emulating roblox and new games gen z and gen alpha are used to. All wrapped in mediocre and unfinished product like the sims 4 or the micro transaction nightmare that project renee will become. I honestly think its futile to expect anything good from ea. I'll be the first one in line to watch their downfall.

From what I gather, and what EA may be missing here, is that the kids are game loyal but not decades loyal. I bet you the MMO part will be front and center. Everyone's so keen on reassuring that it's optional and separate but the whole point of this not being Sims 5 is that it's a different genre. And it WILL take resources, have no doubt. I bet you there will be events with exclusive rewards if you party up with people and so on. Limited time, of course.
the one leaker called the mp mode 'very big' whatever that means.. but... I am unsure of sims community's interpretation. both the previous leaker and Pearson said that mp was by invite only
Lol I love the sarcasm in the beginning Erin! I think I've heard enough at this point to know that I'm not the target audience for the game nor am I interested in 'Project Rene'. This feels like The Sims franchise stripped down, plucked apart, and thrown together with microtransactions in a new Roblox/Fortnite-inspired title.
neither of us are that's becoming clear. I def think it's being modeled off games like that. not a stretch at all, they honestly told us... I was looking back at videos and saw a year ago I worried that sims would become like Roblox 🤣
All that in a lesser appealing graphics while we're at it! Apparently these multiplayer mode, online store and seasonal quests ARE the features that make Rene different from the other life sim games. Guess I'm going skip this era of Sims entirely.
i swear i wish i had recorded my reaction for posterity when the sims came out with that first login event a little while back cuz i said to myself that this had to be a test run for something they were trying to test the waters with...so i guess this is what it feels like to wish you were wrong...
Thanks for reporting, the more information leaks, the more confused I get. I have a really hard time understanding what this is. Sorry to hear that you're stressed, hope you find time to rest.
Same boat as you. It's not clarifying, it's just muddying everything. Only thing I do know is there is a lot I feel highly uncomfortable with ha nah, you're good, I appreciate that! jus some chaos in my personal life, of course world news, etc. I think 2024 is chaotic, period. Hoping you're well!
It seems to me more that they are trying to appeal to a new market of players instead of appealing more to the conventional playerbase that they already have. Btw, feel better soon, Erin! 🌞
If they wanted to attract more people to the SIMS why couldn't they just make a new Sims game, maybe with weather and pets at launch to get more goodwill? It's not like this spinoff seems to be a true sims game, no families, none of the charm (tho it is early so that is understandable) and it's still going to be expensive so this just seems like a bad option to me.
I feel like these leaks are doing serious (deserved) damage to the optics of this game. There's no cheery little spin to make the season pass seem reasonable and it's clear this is a cash grabby mess - no surprise seeing what TS4 has turned into. I feel bad for any passionate devs on the team but clearly EA needs to fail and be humbled. They need to know that Simmers won't buy just any old slop they put out.
@@SimmerErinMy guess is that the season pass allows you to access things like certain furniture hairstyles outfits or basically anything related to the game maybe even jobs or lockables. Kind of reminds me of those Asian games where you can like collect heroes. You know there's like thousands of heroes available but you're never going to get the ones you want because the ones you want were season two or three and you're in season 24 now. So the only way to unlock those is to pay and sometimes even that doesn't work as some games retire their characters or heroes after the season. It's something I dislike about mobile games. I don't see how this would work in a Sims game and not be just as annoying If not more annoying due to the kind of game that it is.
We definitely need tweens. The sims 3 had a great differentiation bewteen its past and future life stages. It has always been a mega lazy cop-out that teens in sims 4 just look like young adults with interaction restrictions and school.
The first time I played the sims 4 my sim was interacting with another sim, then I saw the romantic interactions were missing, after reading that sim bio I just realized that he was a teenager (it was in 2014 way before the Sims ages appears below their names when we move the cursor on them)
This game is probably not coming out until 2026. I feel like we’re all getting it wrong for what it will be. However, I will say I feel like when they said “next generation of sims” it’s about creating a game for a different generation. This isn’t for us OG players. This is going to be for younger players to bring them more into the sims umbrella.
Sims 4 started as an multiplayer project that turned singleplayer halfway in. I wonder if this started as a singleplayer Sims 5 that is being turned into a multiplayer thing.
Ugh, Project Rene continues to underwhelm and depress me. Season passes sound moneygrabby, and while they may say you can play without getting one, I expect there will be many things you can't do unless you buy in. Also, while I am okay with the occasional event, and will participate if it doesn't take too much time away from what I actually want to be doing, "weekly events" sounds either exhausting, or annoying, or both. I need a break from all these leaks; having a stressful week and don't need to add to it with Sims nonsense. ^^; But thank you for doing your best to keep us updated - your effort is appreciated, even if the leaks aren't. :)
yep. while it should be optional- unless they pivoted- it still likely is going to be used in such a way to max FOMO and persuade especially young players to sign up
One thing I hated and still hate is the emotion system of Sims 4. I always felt like Sims had emotions and we just interpreted it from body language, but the spelled out ‘emotion system’ of Sims 4 always kinda suuuuucked. And honestly took away some depth by spelling it out.
I'm not surprised that they're bringing back emotions. However, I'm truly sickened by the fact that EA would find a way to shoehorn microtransactions into The Sims of all things.
In regards to Rene, I've gone from concerned but interested, to basically no interest and this week it's somehow entered negative values. They couldn't have hit more 'buzzwords' designed to turn me away. Season passes? Yes, let's pay in advance for completely unknown content over a year. 🙄 I've seen a comment talking about 'tweening', so I won't repeat what they said. I'll just add that it's a common technique with animations and morphs to make things automatically smooth, like curves instead of straight lines. You set the start, end and middle point(s) and it does the rest.
indeed, the more I look back, the more I realize I had been concerned they were headed this way... yep, I pinned a comment about tweening- think that is prob correct
@@SimmerErin Yes, I remember you had concerns right from the start. As it's a life sim, it's understandable to get tweening and tweens mixed up. You'd have to know about both worlds to catch it.
If That's The Case They Really Need To Add Height Scaling Into Are Sims 4 Game Play Molde For Base Game, Lol I've Always Been Irritated By All Young Adults/Adults-Older Sims Are All The Same Hight Yeah If Their Going To Do That They Need To Add Hight Mod/Molde Into Functionality!
So this is practically whatever features they have in Sims 4, battle passes, seasonal quests and online store for DLC all thrown in full force for Rene. Okay bye. The Cas features is nothing too different from Paralives or Inzoi, so im not too excited about it. You have a busy week ahead for Sism news because the trailer for the new EP about Grim reaper is coming up soon.
I think i'll pass, i dont dislike quests every once in a while like rn w the sims4, but personally when playing a life sim game i want to simulate whatever life i want to make. Not what the weekly mmo guests says🤷♀️
I still cant say "I hate it", I have hopes for the PC version ,not interested in mobile sims games. Even though Im not very excited, I want to see more in January, I hope that they explain some things and people are happier about this game. I reallyyy wanted a Sims 5 though
Thoughts on those seasons pass things. 1) In my 40's & been sick with ME for 10yrs, so don't get FOMO much (mostly used to missing out) but this makes part of the game less accessible. Some people cannot physically play as much as they want. This kind of pass means players too sick to play aren't ever gonna be able to access the full game. Shame & unnecessary. Guess if I get the game, I'll miss out sometimes. Can't always play & sims 3 store was too dear (don't expect this one to be cheaper). 2) Do people really like those in other games? Access issue aside, it doesn't feel very sims like. Forced to play a certain way to get a dlc. E.g. Reaper event, I like Grim, so I'll try to do it (if I miss some, it won't kill me, though if it did, I'd appreciate the hilarious irony 😂), but if it was a theme I don't care about, I'd not bother. Now, for just a few items & easy tasks (when they work) like gardening/cooking (I do that with most sims anyway), it's OK. For a whole dlc lasting for months, with potentially more tricky tasks? The Sims would be guided by devs more than players then, no? That's kind of besides the point of what the Sims are. Make more "scenarios" for quest type gameplay, no need for that. 3) It feels a bit of a dodgy way to get people hooked on a game. I never needed to feel I'd miss out to love the Sims (OG player), why the need to impose that on the younger generation. Make the game good, simmers will come. Anyway, hopefully will be a nice game, remain to be seen if I'll get into. Glad they keep Sims 4 going. We can get DLC when we want, even years after, & play how we want. The next Sims 4 EP sounds brilliant, can't wait to see more of it. 💚☠️💚
1- that is an excellent point. it's either often not considered or they simply care way more about profits 2- I believe they are looking into other lucratuve models- how much people like it actually and how well it translates for sims, that I don't know
I know the argument is ts4 killed the franchise, but i disagree. Now the question is will Rene kill the franchise? Will the people who just jumped on ts4 rather than 1-3, continue? I think the events is a good idea but weekly is definitely too frequent. Every 6 months is a good range to me. It does sound like the hub is like TSR or curse forge. A lot of realism focus but i think there's a lot of things that'll not get people wanting realism to play Rene. Maybe if this will be like GTA V and online is a choice but it doesn't seem like it.
yeah I wouldn't blame sims 4.. honestly it makes me like sims 4 more 🤣 honestly? I think the new pack might be something that I'd be really interested in. potentially yeah, I actually don't care if they have events and get even how they can be fun, weekly is... excessive I agree, I suspect it'd be a platform like that. I actually don't see anything wrong with that either, depending on how it is done
The build mode footage at the end was kinda jarring 😅 ive absolutely seen it before but that mode with the sims theyve showcased so far seem like 2 separate games. Unless the hub is an entirely different style from main gameplay
My emoitions are unamused and unconfident in the the direction it's going. I understanding getting new players but changing to MMO is not why we love to play the sims. It really feels a slap to us older players.
I think I am most disappointed, not because this looks so bad- it's ok that it's not for me, but that there won't be a sims 5. I am fine with project rene as another option, but don't take away sims 5 for the people who want to play traditionally. At some point, these constant packs are going to make the game unplayable for everyone. I'm really sad about the fact that the sims 4 is the end of the sims as we know it.
"We haven't had enough Sims news this week.." This made me laugh so hard. You've really been stuck making videos that I'm sure are the last thing you want to do right now! 3 videos in 2 days! Kudos for dealing with it anyway!!! I don't know anything about Roblox, but it sounds a lot like Minecraft. It has a "marketplace" and it has a MMO section (Realms.) But they certainly can pull ideas from many places in the games industry. In terms of tweens, eegad I'm glad I have no interest in playing it. I like playing generations (and have been playing the start of a new legacy since the new kits came out). However, after playing through the babies, infants, toddlers, children and now teens. The last thing I want is another life stage! The customization ideas sound lovely. Weather, not so much. Some of the other things are in between those two in terms of my "interest". However, my interest is still not engaged if it's not TS5. Thankfully, I still have TS4. (But I hope they never decide to put tweens in it! (See my previous comments about tweens.)
ha I don't mind too much, only when I start feeling like I can't absorb info quickly enough. and I do feel right now it's a lot to absorb I plan to talk about Roblox, and yes there are some similarities. I see I made a video about a year ago about Roblox and the sims alas. in some ways, I'm stating to be glad this isn't the sims 5... if that makes sense
@@SimmerErin I always prefer your analysis. Less "Sturm and Drang" and more actual factual information. Thanks for doing this! (You seem to be absorbing the information just fine!)
I think over the last few years they tried a lot of features in the sims 4 to see if they'd work in Rene. But they don't seem to understand that the context is important... Sims 4 player try whatever they put in the game because it's optional and they (kinda) like the game in itself. And there's also the matter of the target audience. This game is not for og players, ok, but will it appeal to the new audience they want? Mmmmh idk. Especially with how people will talk about it online and the "bad press" it will get. (I'm a sims 2 player, just for reference, I don't have horses in the race... is this how they say it? XD).
Everyone who plays that needs to have their Sim in a constant state of anger as EA/Maxis nails the final nail in their coffin. I know I'll catch a lot of shot over this. But this us what happens when you choose inclusion over quality
How the heck are they going to moderate this game if multiplayer? I can see a bunch of weirdos trying weird stuff or having this be used as an outlet to potential crime…. I hope they do not make this online… where are their lawyers?
@@SimmerErin so you have to know them personally and you have to give your username? What stop kids just giving that info on a public forum/ social media? I’m just saying it invites and leaves the door open for trouble . One way they can limit it is have only selective dialogue (similar to the regular social interactions that we have in game, just no woo/hoo.) I’m just saying that online mechanics do need moderation.
i swear im starting to feel more and more antisocial as time goes on lol. am i the only one on the planet who is getting tired of how many game dev companies these days are trying to focus so much on "bringing players together"? i mean dont get me wrong, i play an mmo on ps5 and i have for years, so im definitely not OPPOSED to games having multiplayer components to them or even being exclusively mutliplayer. but sometimes i just wanna sit down on my couch, and enjoy a game by MYSELF. and according to so many game dev studios these days, the future is just more online, more connectedness, and more stuff with friends. how about more stuff with MYSELF, my blanket, and my dinner? lol
All of this makes me glad the Sims 4 is staying, because it makes the rest of this purely optional. The only thing I liked about monetization in Sims3 was that you could just pick the couple things you wanted and leave the rest. Im guessing Sims Rene will be a multiplayer neighborhood you can visit from your own games and through which you can invite other players into your game. With the additional baggage of Seasonal tracks and passes (Grim event is using that tech now) which likely means in game currency and multitransactions and likely a Sims 3 style store. I would absolutely bet money on the mobile version integrating with this as well and further monetizing the game. You can get up the seasonal pass track faster if you own the mobile game as well. I would expect the majority of new effort on the game will center around the season passes and shop content. So Ill still keep playing good ole Sims 4 which, unlike the loud online haters, Im not anywhere near as disappointed with. I just don't think we can expect a lot of Sims 4 specific new elements but also there should be a minimum of new added bugs as well as EA concentrates in trying to bleed it gaming audience dry in their eternal pursuit of 'shareholder value' and executive bonuses. I have another nice little warning for you. If you hate the prise of stuff and games packs, wait till you get a look at the cost of these coming elements.
I have a feeling the reason they are keeping Sims 4 going is that they know most of the current Sims fans aren't going to be into Rene and while they want the newer, younger fanbase, they also want/need to keep the fanbase they have. Rene is sounding more and more like Sims Mobile, just, on a computer too.
@@houddythequeen I would not disagree. Sims 4 make s a great entry point to attract new players and grow the franchise and drive sales for the new larger sims universe. I feel like Rene is Sims multiplayer and a connective hub.
are they still going on about sims 5 / project rene ? like any customer would want to re-experience 10 years of the shit show that is the sims 4, or be be like, do you know what would be a really good idea ? starting that nightmare all over again, then spending yet another £2000 & getting the exact same packs every sims game ends up with, but with a new added colour wheel, (that we already had in the sims 3.) I would rather suck shit through a pissy sock and do the Macarena doused in petrol, whilst on fire ! once sims 4 is done im ready to bin the lot its been nothing but ball ache. ill stick to bioshock and the GameCube version of resident evil :)
honestly, I DO want at least an option to stat a new game., never saw it was starting over- I have 2/3 installed . just a new game, but most certainly not something like this course, I am not a collector; I am very selective and also usually only buy on sale
They're clearly goong for a new, younger audience. I'm not sure abandoning the majority of their existing player base is the smartest move but I guess kids pay more for stuff when they don't know or understand monetary value or finances. Everything I've heard about PR makes me dislike it more and more. As ppl have said in the comments, not the game for me. Just hoping they keep fixing sims 4 so it'll be playable even after they go full in with PR. Sims 4 has lots of issues but at least it's still working somewhat. I don't know what I'd do if they abandoned sims 4 completely and put all their eggs in the project renee basket. I know I'm pushing thirty but I am not yet done with sims 🥲
I plan to show this once I get it together- but we can look back and yes, it's not even just conjecture. they have flat out said they want to appeal to the youngest, and change how they are delivering sims heck this makes me like sims 4 more I'm early 30s, so yeah sometimes I catch myself feeling too old- but then I realize how silly that is. I talk with simmers every day older than me- including my mother's age - who love the franchise. when the first game came out, it was targeted very much towards adults and that was over two decades ago. should have a space for all ages; all ages can game and enjoy it (ted talk over, sry
@@SimmerErin Yes ! Alienating all player base that is over 12 yo is a very dumb move but maybe ea is tired of people complaining and they think kids will eat anything up without any hassle

Only thing I do know is there is a lot I feel highly uncomfortable with ha
nah, you're good, I appreciate that! jus some chaos in my personal life, of course world news, etc. I think 2024 is chaotic, period. Hoping you're well!
It seems to me more that they are trying to appeal to a new market of players instead of appealing more to the conventional playerbase that they already have. Btw, feel better soon, Erin! 🌞
oh absolutely. I'm looking back and it's been basically spelled out in investor calls and interviews
They need to know that Simmers won't buy just any old slop they put out.
yeah the leaks are exposing some things, without being wrapped with rhetoric the team would probably prefer
Sounds like more rabbit holes when it comes to transportation
it's very possible
The Hub is giving big Playstation Home vibes.
Sounds dead on arrival to me xD
Season Pass could Rene be anymore DOA?
Pearson said a subscription would be optional. question is... what does a season pass here do
@@SimmerErinMy guess is that the season pass allows you to access things like certain furniture hairstyles outfits or basically anything related to the game maybe even jobs or lockables.
@@Fizzypopization yeah.. honestly I think you could be onto something there
sounds like something my wallet needs to be far from
Are we supposed to get excited? It's getting worse day after day!
the only bright spot I thought people might like ended up being something else ha.
generally I'd say the leaks are pretty depressing
We definitely need tweens. The sims 3 had a great differentiation bewteen its past and future life stages.
It has always been a mega lazy cop-out that teens in sims 4 just look like young adults with interaction restrictions and school.
alas, see my pinned comment- while sims community guessed so, apparently it is likely something else
@@SimmerErin awe man. Haha ah oh well 🤷🏃
The first time I played the sims 4 my sim was interacting with another sim, then I saw the romantic interactions were missing, after reading that sim bio I just realized that he was a teenager (it was in 2014 way before the Sims ages appears below their names when we move the cursor on them)
This game is probably not coming out until 2026.
I wonder if this started as a singleplayer Sims 5 that is being turned into a multiplayer thing.
unclear, looking back feel there were hints for a while thought that they were going this direction
I also feel like emotions kinda take precedent over individual and unique personalities in 4
Who asked for a game like project Renee. Personaly season pass and DLC is a combination that I avoid in games.
the season pass I think will be optional- Pearson said no sub. would be required. however, I have little doubt this is a bad model they are setting up
We all need to boycott this, not buy or play this crap! EA didnt learn anything from the Sims4 and made something even worse.
Good luck, I've been screaming the same thing for years, people keep buy and complaining. It's wild.
so, the people on here etc aren't their target audience I don't think
I’ve been screaming this since 2014 and nobody listened till it was too late. And why would EA learn if the sales are up? 😀
I'm not surprised that they're bringing back emotions. However, I'm truly sickened by the fact that EA would find a way to shoehorn microtransactions into The Sims of all things.
so far I'm guessing it nay be like sims 3 store... but possibly more intrusive
You misunderstood burnt, dirty and snow. Those are the states that an object can be in, not the environmental weather types.
so I was reading from sims community interpretation- that's how they labeled it. I certainly agree that makes more sense
4:16 not you casually casually dropping that you’re stressed lol
🤣 honestly it's been a hot mess last few weeks- weather, chemical leak, personal family stuff, mid semester , and also just madness for sims.
In regards to Rene, I've gone from concerned but interested, to basically no interest and this week it's somehow entered negative values. They couldn't have hit more 'buzzwords' designed to turn me away. Season passes? Yes, let's pay in advance for completely unknown content over a year. 🙄
I've seen a comment talking about 'tweening', so I won't repeat what they said. I'll just add that it's a common technique with animations and morphs to make things automatically smooth, like curves instead of straight lines. You set the start, end and middle point(s) and it does the rest.
Seriously they are making it very clear this product is to please their investors rather than the customers with their checklist of buzzwords haha
indeed, the more I look back, the more I realize I had been concerned they were headed this way...
yep, I pinned a comment about tweening- think that is prob correct
@@SimmerErin Yes, I remember you had concerns right from the start.
As it's a life sim, it's understandable to get tweening and tweens mixed up. You'd have to know about both worlds to catch it.
If That's The Case They Really Need To Add Height Scaling Into Are Sims 4 Game Play Molde For Base Game, Lol I've Always Been Irritated By All Young Adults/Adults-Older Sims Are All The Same Hight Yeah If Their Going To Do That They Need To Add Hight Mod/Molde Into Functionality!
unlikely in sims 4 because it requires either a diff type of animations or redoing most animations
Oh yeah the metro system would be nice, but I'm pretty confident it will be a rabbit hole to teleport Sims from one area to another.
the trailer seems like a relief after this stuff 🤣
I think i'll pass, i dont dislike quests every once in a while like rn w the sims4, but personally when playing a life sim game i want to simulate whatever life i want to make. Not what the weekly mmo guests says🤷♀️
Yeah, I think something like this now / then is fine; weekly is excessive
I wonder how many of those actually play it, and how many of those are content creators making fun of the new character (like Luke Stephens)
how many of the play testers do you mean? or future prospective players?
I do not start up Sims 4 while there are events going because they interfere with my single player stories. René is not for me.
I still cant say "I hate it", I have hopes for the PC version ,not interested in mobile sims games.
Even though Im not very excited, I want to see more in January, I hope that they explain some things and people are happier about this game. I reallyyy wanted a Sims 5 though
From my understanding, it's all the same game, both mobile and PC..
they are connected- but a lot needs to be clarified, there is no doubt
I hope those testers tell EA what a dumb idea this is, and how much it will fail big time. THey already tried this with Sims Online several years ago.
one can hope
1- that is an excellent point. it's either often not considered or they simply care way more about profits
2- I believe they are looking into other lucratuve models- how much people like it actually and how well it translates for sims, that I don't know
I know the argument is ts4 killed the franchise, but i disagree.
I think the new pack might be something that I'd be really interested in. potentially
yeah, I actually don't care if they have events and get even how they can be fun, weekly is... excessive
I agree, I suspect it'd be a platform like that.
I guess their bet Is keep us on sims 4... :/
they've made this game into the exact opposite of what i wanted it to be. they've just created a dystopian simulation
Dont they say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different outcomes?
One thing i like about the Sims Franchise is that its a solo player game..😏so this new game is not for me.. i guess i have to move on.😢
this is to be fair solo too- the mp Is optional;
The more I hear about Project Renee, the less interested I become. I have been a The Sims player since the beginning.
I'm really sad about the fact that the sims 4 is the end of the sims as we know it.
maybe there will eventually be a sims 5? but yeah it doesn't seem hopeful
User-generated content, aka paid mods.
maybe, maybe not. UGC is pretty common to mention, but there is a lot about this that makes me wonder
(See my previous comments about tweens.)
ha I don't mind too much, only when I start feeling like I can't absorb info quickly enough. and I do feel right now it's a lot to absorb
I plan to talk about Roblox, and yes there are some similarities.
This leaks are insane, didn't they said it got cancelled?🎉
no. project rene was not canceled. There won't be a sims 5 at least not in any immediate future.
XD).
I wasn't sure about this theory before but it's honestly adding up
Just do not support them with these practices.
I don't know... but it seems like this game will be a flop 👀
it could be.. but I worry it might not be
Everyone who plays that needs to have their Sim in a constant state of anger as EA/Maxis nails the final nail in their coffin. I know I'll catch a lot of shot over this. But this us what happens when you choose inclusion over quality
with respect, this has nothing to do with 'inclusion' there are loads of games that manage quality and inclusion.
@@SimmerErin yes but other companies didn't go to the lengths EA/Maxis have. They made that a known priority
wonderful video friend im not having good day :(
I'm so sorry, are you in pain
@@SimmerErin yes im in pain and dr i saw today is moving end of this year :(
Not gonna lie... if there is no sims 5 happening, I'm kinda not interested in any of the other stuff (regarding ea sims releases)
Tag yourselves: I'm unamused. xDDD
Is there a pay to win aspect?
don't know yet
I don't want this app even for free, even if they pay me to have it. It is a space waste on the phone 😂😂😂
How the heck are they going to moderate this game if multiplayer? I can see a bunch of weirdos trying weird stuff or having this be used as an outlet to potential crime…. I hope they do not make this online… where are their lawyers?
the one leak said the multiplayer was by inivite- like you choose the friends you invite
@@SimmerErin so you have to know them personally and you have to give your username? What stop kids just giving that info on a public forum/ social media? I’m just saying it invites and leaves the door open for trouble . One way they can limit it is have only selective dialogue (similar to the regular social interactions that we have in game, just no woo/hoo.) I’m just saying that online mechanics do need moderation.
i swear im starting to feel more and more antisocial as time goes on lol. am i the only one on the planet who is getting tired of how many game dev companies these days are trying to focus so much on "bringing players together"? i mean dont get me wrong, i play an mmo on ps5 and i have for years, so im definitely not OPPOSED to games having multiplayer components to them or even being exclusively mutliplayer. but sometimes i just wanna sit down on my couch, and enjoy a game by MYSELF. and according to so many game dev studios these days, the future is just more online, more connectedness, and more stuff with friends. how about more stuff with MYSELF, my blanket, and my dinner? lol
nah, I'm right there with you... granted I am a bit of an introvert and need my alone time.
Hell naw this ain't it 🤣 the sims look horrible smh
I clicked so fast 😂
it's been... an interesting week
lol nope 👎
Please understand. They hate you, the consumer, and their wokery won't allow you to own cars even in a virtual world.
this has to do with greed.. not "wokery"
are they still going on about sims 5 / project rene ? like any customer would want to re-experience 10 years of the shit show that is the sims 4, or be be like, do you know what would be a really good idea ? starting that nightmare all over again, then spending yet another £2000 & getting the exact same packs every sims game ends up with, but with a new added colour wheel,
(that we already had in the sims 3.)
I would rather suck shit through a pissy sock and do the Macarena doused in petrol, whilst on fire !
once sims 4 is done im ready to bin the lot its been nothing but ball ache.
ill stick to bioshock and the GameCube version of resident evil :)
honestly, I DO want at least an option to stat a new game., never saw it was starting over- I have 2/3 installed . just a new game, but most certainly not something like this
course, I am not a collector; I am very selective and also usually only buy on sale
I plan to show this once I get it together- but we can look back and yes, it's not even just conjecture. they have flat out said they want to appeal to the youngest, and change how they are delivering sims
heck this makes me like sims 4 more
I'm early 30s, so yeah sometimes I catch myself feeling too old- but then I realize how silly that is. I talk with simmers every day older than me- including my mother's age - who love the franchise. when the first game came out, it was targeted very much towards adults and that was over two decades ago. should have a space for all ages; all ages can game and enjoy it
(ted talk over, sry
@@SimmerErin Yes ! Alienating all player base that is over 12 yo is a very dumb move but maybe ea is tired of people complaining and they think kids will eat anything up without any hassle
