Arcane and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners show that the secret ingredient to making good Netflix shows is to not let them be made by Netflix at all.
Castlevania, Arcane and Edgerunners are basically the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit of video game to animation adaptation and i cannot be happier
Castlevania wasn't perfect and after Dracula died went downhill but otherwise yes.
@@SolProxy
True, it just became mid after S2.
@@SolProxy Nah, I would say it went downhill after season 3 tbh.
Castlevania was far from perfect, but it was fun, well animated, creative at times and i don't regret watching it even for a second, which is a good baseline for such adaptations...
Castlevania was the founder, the other two perfected what it had established.
1:12 If Castlevania poked a hole in the meta and Arcane punched a hole, then Edgerunners blasted open a doorway with a shotgun cause holy fuck is it a perfect adaptation
Cyberpunk has allways been a great game in my oppinion, we obviously don't need to talk about the bugs on launch (played it on launch day on PC), because that has been done to death, but the world and Story they created is so unique and amazing that I still feel drawn to Night City even after 2 full 100% Playthroughts. It is great that they managed to fully get that vibe for the show aswell including a tone of refferences and Eastereggs. And it even comes with a banger of a soundtrack from the game that now every time I hear it I get Emotional damage all over again. Great show, great game can't wait to see whats next
about the hospital gloria went too, in the game it was nototious they were organ harvesters. they probably could cure here but her left kidney was worth more
I'm so happy you referenced Altered Carbon, one of the best pieces of media from the Cyberpunk genre.
Good review. I liked the structured but casual style of it.
Literally never had a care about cyberpunk until I watched edgerunners, cried at the end and now I immediately bought 2077, having a blast and loving the world, lore and characters so far. But easily became one of my favourite animes.
30 seconds in and im already getting called out
Love the Max0r references. Truly a great show. It didn't pull me back into the game cause I enjoyed it already when it launched. My standards for games are normally high, but I had ZERO expectations for Cyberpunk 2077 and expected it to be a horrible mess. Last update I did to the game was 1.06 I think, and I refuse to update. I'm not giving up my bugged revolver matched with every piece of armor slotted with a deadeye mod for max crit damage. I will not give up my 500K+ stealth headshot damage. Even snipers don't match.
17:14 I went for saving them all from the start. Sadly there's no payoff in game but I did it how I wanted so I'm chillin.
Max0r is goated youtuber
the happiest endings of cyberpunk are all of V/johnny leaving NC forever
9:00- Not a short-stack. You need to be short and STACKED to be a short-stack.
Played Cyberpunk as a tabletop rpg in the 90s. Seeing this rather faithful adaptation in anime format is really something.
Anyone else noticing how chill zone is editting? He's slowly becoming max0r.
Edgerunners are the best show I will never watch again.
I really like the max0r reference.
Edgerunners left me in pieces...
OMG Pilar IS Lobo-like!
I always equip the tactical analysis mod to my scanner implant when combating a cyberpsycho so all my weapons are nonlethal.
Erm...Sir... John Spartan, the good guy, was called the demolition man, not Simon Phoenix...
I believe that I'm referring to the Bad guy from the movie Demolition man
@@TheChillzoneX yeh, simon phoenix, played by wesely snipes. he's not the demolition man :P
nice videos btw, really enjoy watching!
my main focus are max0r incorrect review references
Hell yeah it was! \o/
Now they're bowing to the ESG, it took a completely unrelated anime studio to make reignite my interest for Cyberpunk and CDPR just let's me down again.
What do you mean they are "bowing down" to EPIC??? Just because the collab with UE5, doesn't mean EPIC own CDPR bruh. What kind of logic is that?? You basically calling every game companies that used UE are "bowing down" to EPIC, including an even bigger companies like Microsoft, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, & Sony LOL
@@crozraven Sorry I meant ESG, very similar abbreviation. Stop freaking out.
Friendly reminder that CDPR has made only *one* great game, and that suffered from rampant performance problems for over a year as well.
I say Cyberpunk deserves a sequel. If giving Witcher 1 a chance got us Witcher 3, imagine what we can get with Cyberpunk in the future.
That's a bit too positive for me but sure go for it dude
@@yourdad5799 Do you need a hug, my guy?
@@1wayroad935 I meant to convey that you're being too positive about CDPR. But yes I need a hug
The only problem is that for every great show that netflix makes there is like 10 extremely shitty ones
Unfortunately Netflix Woke Division still exist & keep investing on cheapo garbage products, while actual great series were cancelled because too much money being invested.
Cyberpuck: Edgerunners story basic its live fast die young
Can you please react to the new max0r Video?
max0r, but better
The ending to Edgerunners hit me really hard but I decided to re-install the game and do another netrunner playthrough ofc inspired by Lucy.
Litearlly 20 min into my fresh wave I heard "I just want to stay at your house" from a random building running around on foot.
I went closet and just stood there having the last 5 min of the anime on repeat.Completely took me out of the game and brought me to tears AGAIN.Because SPOILER:
What is a dream come true if you can't share it with anyone. 🥲
