Dude, I love this video! I've been wanting to switch to a button because I'm tired of the tube getting snagged on things. Last time it got snagged on one of my Hoyer lift chains, the whole thing came out! That's when I decided it was time to switch over. I just need to set up an appointment
How is he talking? I can’t even guess! I’m new to finding your channel! You all are an inspiration! I found you because I’ve been looking up stuff for my myopathy and in a new diagnosis process. I’m not sure what I have yet but like I said you are inspirational! Thanks for sharing!
He's talking through a computer, that reads his eye movements. He looks at the letters and some prewritten words, that the computer then reads out loud
I have a 6 year old son that has had a mickey gtube button...I have changed it like every 3 months it's been 7 months now and I went to go change it but it's stuck! I tried pulling it out after taking the water out the Ballon and it's not coming out... What do u suggest?
@@ALifeStoryFoundation Hi, sorry I was just curious, my son is disabled and when he first got his peg the nurses at the hospital taught me the routine and part of it was after placement to extract some stomach juices and do a litmus test to check the PH (stomach acid) balance to make sure the peg is in the right place but any time I ask about it nobody else seems to know about it or do it. Our doctor says it's in place so long now it would be very difficult to get the placement wrong. Wishing you both well. X
Thank you Kevin and "Dr."

Do you not check the ph balance to see if it's in the right place?
I don't even know what that means. I guess I am going to have to go back to school! Can you elaborate. It sounds important.

@@denisepattison1032 thank you for the info! I guess because mine has been in the same place for so long as well.
What is the real name of the button? How is he able to communicate his thoughts?
It is a Mic Key button and is size 18 for 3.0 cm. He uses eye gaze communication that tells the computer where he is looking on the screen.
