That intro is, by far, one of the most difficult I’ve ever attempted on guitar, particularly to get as consistent and as tight as they are at it. Great cover!
I just started learning more LoG riffs and they are so intricate. Just came across this one, Walk With Me In Hell is a super fun intro to play, Redneck is super fast and challenging too. They all are!! OP did a fantastic job with the cover
I appreciate all the efforts you put into the tabs on your covers. I'm 58yrs old, (I've only been playing guitar for a yr so, gotta lot to learn)..Thanks for all the great tabs especially LofG and Gojira to annoy my neighbors with! 🤟
This song is a tongue twister for your fingers lol. Once I got it down it's super satisfying. Been contemplating learning this song forever and made myself do it today. Still mess up here and there but it's fun to play regardless. Great video.
Same. Wanted to learn it for ages and never fully committed to it. Finally learnt it and love playing it now. The only difference is the pre-chorus riff I prefer playing on the low D string. 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-11-15-14-10-0-0-0-0-13-17-16-13. Very satisfying.
2:31 was driving me crazy. The tabs I was using were accurate but the rhythm was way off on that 2nd repetition riff and I was overthinking it. Thanks for the help amigo! You've helped me several times already in my goal of learning this whole album, 2 songs to go 🤘
Great video bud! Super tight playing. Relatively simple to learn, but the sheer tempo is what makes it tricky (in true LOG style). Please keep the sheet music, it gives a nice perspective. Thank you for your efforts in making this :-)
Hi Steve! I subbed when i learned the gift of guilt from you. I got a wild idea to learn this today and I searched a guitar cover. Thank God its you! I was so happy. Your playing is awesome and so is your camera angle and distance. Its perfect never change it. Thank you homie, I appeciate ya
Great cover man! For the tabs I’d maybe recommend changing the view to just show the tabs rather than the sheet music too, that way you can make them a bit bigger :)
I'll have a look at doing that. May keep just some basic rhythmic notation but get rid of the stave so it's on a single line. Just need to have a play really. Thanks for watching too 🤘
@@ShadowMantraSteve duuude that lesson is perfect. Tabs size are perfect, we can see you executing the song and the tabs properly. Pretty good job!! I´ll tag ya when I upload a cover of this song! Definitely using this lesson.
Slowly does it. It takes a long time to get a LOG track under your fingers (they're incredibly 'fiddly' imo). Focus on slow and clean, speed will naturally follow in time.
This was the version I learned from, Until I realized LOG posted their tabs of this.. and it's a bit different, and even more challenging ;_: you should check it out! cheers bro, your playing is clean!
Sorry I don't think I do anymore. I used a guitar pro file and took the bass and drums from it as a midi file and used that to create it in Logic Pro if that helps at all?
How the fuck are you supposed to count that section? I get what’s happening I think and I’m playing it right at least half of the time but only by getting lucky. Is there a certain feel that I’m missing?
This is great. Help a noob out here. I notice you do the first section with up and down strokes (8x the first riff), then only downstrokes in the second section (4x that riff). Why not up and down too? Preference? Or easier?
I haven't played it in a while but I would imagine the first part I went with alternate as it's a pretty steady stream of notes, but then switch to all downs for parts that need more attack. Palm mutes tend to sound better with down picking too.
Whatever is easiest finger placement for you, I'd say. Doesn't matter how you play it. @0:25 I just use my index finger and move really fast lol. Just feels natural.
@@ShadowMantraSteve I've done more thinking about this and honestly it doesn't make a huge amount of sense to go through the trouble, may as well just tune it down. I was just hesitant as I'm still learning guitar and I've not deviated from standard tuning yet.
@@ShadowMantraSteve Thanks dude! ill send you the video link after I'm done.. and by the way, your guitar playing is clean and solid......what a fucken beast!
Typically DI in, TSE 808 then either the Le456 or Ignite Amps Emissary amp sim, then a mix of Godscab and a Diezel Impulse. Sometimes there's some tweaks but that's the general chain. Then extra things like EQ when mixing.

i don't understand @ 2:29 what he's playing doesn't look like it matches the tabs highlighted in yellow?
That one 333 triplet threw me off like crazy, but now I can play it finally.
You make it look so easy to play, when I play it, I make it look hard 😄
That song is so sick
Chapeau my friend. Killer tone and precision, like Willie want \m/

This this the rythm guitar part
Theres no lead really
You forgot to swipe down the guitar right before the breakdown for an awesome sound.
i wish i knew the finger placements for the second riff in the song. would make learning it a tad bit easier.

thank you very much! I would love to see "One Gun" =D

Perhaps a stupid question but could this be transposed for standard tuning on a 7 string?
I think it's doable but how easy it would be to play I wouldn't be able to say.

Thanks again for letting me use this video
Wait, is the verse all downstrokes? Holy cow.
So do I need to tune down the guitar? Just asking
You need to detune the low E string to a D so it will be D A D G B E
What is the name of the song in the last part of the video?
An original song called The Puppet - ua-cam.com/video/pcQcd-JQHI4/v-deo.html

Play drop D?
Drop D, yes
Pretty pointless putting the tabs below when nobody can see them.. it’s all cut off
The tab scrolls along through the song
@@ShadowMantraSteve I guess it’s hard to explain that you can’t see them, you can only see the the high E,B,and G stuff anything else is cut off
That’s odd, I’ve checked on several devices and get all the strings showing on the tab. Not sure why it’s cropping the video for you unfortunately
