As a General Manager myself, I discourage everyone from ordering on 3rd party delivery sites. Youll pay significantly less by ordering delivery directly on the restaurants site or app.
Edit 2 years later: I’m out of the industry, thank god. And people have only gotten lazier.
Everyone get this comment to the top
@@shinobikazuma25 not all of us drive
@@idontwantone132 get an uber
@@shinobikazuma25 lol thats a whole fat meal either way, idgaf ill pull up just to pick up my food thats gouging lmfao
@JedStrogan This is true for restaurants that still use 3rd for their delivery service. Uber eats, doordash, etc, set higher menu prices. Which is exactly what was shown in the video.
Your dad was the best teacher I ever had when I did my apprenticeship at Lee Lounge. respects to him and your fam.
that's so cool!
Must be nice working in Hawaii
101 of being a teacher is not spitting what you chewing and respect the food, he did not do that... not really a good one.
@@Dolbic. like in a wine tasting, when you’re just chewing something specifically to get the taste, but not to ingest it, it is not rude to spit it out. he’s not spitting it out to show how gross he thinks it is. you say “101 of being a teacher” but it sounds like you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.
@@codybasore2747 I do, you absolutely don't need to spit whatsoever even in wine, not because they do it means that's how it's done, and wine spitting, they do that because they might need to taste a lot of variety of wine and they don't want to get drunk by it, here there was only small variety and you only needed to take a small bit size bite. there are no excuses of spitting food here.
Not gonna lie, your dad is kinda a bad-ass. I really like the deconstruction method he did, very slick usage of multiple aspects of the menu items, in multiple dishes.
8:23 bad to the bone daddy
You may like Food Wars!
What's even more amazing about this is how he uses the ingredients presented to him and a small amount of other parts...Any old Chef could cook a better meal with all fresh ingredients and some time to experiment. He did this all off the bat demonstrating different techniques and used some of the fast food in his creations. What differentiates a master of any craft from the rest is how they are able to do the most with the least.
Probably the worst comment I’ve very seen in my life.
I just binged about 2+ hours of videos! I just want to say, I LOVE your dad's demeanor. His peaceful, joyful and free energy is amazing and very relaxing. I wish I had a father figure such as him & I'm 35 lol. He's truly amazing. I recognize him now from those clips of the chef shows from many moons ago! I used to watch them all of the time lol. I'm so thankful that you guys made this channel 🤗🩵 *virtual hugs all around*
Jet can we see a brother cook-off and have your dad honestly rate the cooking?
make it a blind taste test as well.
c antonio YES DO THIS !!
@@emiljespersen4958 but it wasn't really a "competition"
Iron chef style, 1 mystery ingredients and the brothers make 1 dish each.
i think they already did this and Jett won lmao
Bro I love this series! One of my fave hands down!
Ayeeee my boy
🐐
Hell yeah
It's the only good thing on this channel. That's why I think his dad should just have his own channel
I see you everywhere 😀
Your father should be the type of person kids look up too instead of the crap pushed nowadays. Hes priceless and I could listen and learn from him all day. God bless
"Pretty good" then spits it lmao. I Know he just tasting but still funny ahaha
Who else is glad Jet stayed consistent and kept a steady pace with his channel? The content never got boring and there was always something new that’s why he’s almost at 100k in only a year.
It’s also the content itself. This is classic coke essentially. His father and him carry it with good pacing and the overall tone of the content if that makes sense. It’s the video you watch daily forget about but click first when a new one comes on your feed. Perfect light content and also mildly inspirational in respect to salvaging bad ingredients or pre prepared food.
his brothers are probably jealous he's about to pass them loool
@@AndOreos for sure Levi, I don’t think so much Kai. Levi saw the views their dad was bringing Jet and he decides to do the same thing to revive his channel.
this content is boring youre just a smooth brain
I love that he doesn't act like he's repulsed by just the idea of eating fast food like so many other chefs do on their shows.
i mean it ain't that bad
Besides always spitting it out like he's doing a wine tasting, yeah ...
As an ex-employee of taco bell, I like how he thought the twists were actually dough, when they're actually just deep fried pasta noodles with cinnamon sugat
@@bryanhayes3976WHAT!! I’m about to make it 😂
@@bryanhayes3976 I’m 3 months late, but what do you think pasta noodles are made from lol DOUGH
Susur is so creative with this. His personality is so down to earth and it's really nice to see him being a dad and food expert. It's nice to see him shine in a different way than his other TV appearances. This is a great series with him
11:54 Homie in the back was about to throw hands lmao
The way your dad speaks about food shows that he has a deep passion for cooking. Truly inspiring to watch!
Hes an iron chef... i would assume he has passion for what he does..
Levi ready to throw hands with the cabinet 😂😂
The milk in the fridge really offended him.
Hahaha bro I was thinkin the same thing. Levi about to give hands to any snack that steps to him
He be sensitive sometimes 😂
Sumn wrong with dude
Andre mr sensitive is his nickname
When he sweares when the cilantro falls is pure gold.
Time stamp? I feel half asleep watching...

I love your dads little " mhm mhm " as he cooks. Its something I remember my grandparents doing when I grew up. So subtle yet I just remembered it because of this video.
Um holy crap an iron chef for a dad? I'd be scared to disappoint but be simultaneously excited to have him teach me the ways of the kitchen. It's always so cool to see a professional do their thing cuz their mind works so differently lol.
I'd be over seasoning or under seasoning everything just to piss him off! 🤣🤣🤣
Oh and my plates would look like shit too!
Levi shadow boxing the fridge and pantry in the background 😂
lol it distracted me but gave me a good laugh
I love that you do this with your father. ♡ great bonding time and he seems to really appreciate your company.
I love these videos. Please tell your Dad thank you for his time, he works hard to make your videos a success! It's easy to see you matter to him a lot. Remember to tell him thank you!
Susur almost cried when Jet gave him 7/10.
“Whe you’re hungry everything tastes good” LMAOOOOO I can’t believe your dad said that to someone on tv 😭
Two things.
1.) At least it's better then what Gordon Ramsay says.(don't get me wrong I love GR rants.)
2.) Like father like son.
I love that you’re giving him back a platform. Iron Chef was the truth!
Your dad is amazing..great personality and i love how he analyzes everything and explains exactly what he's going to do to
Your dad saying the food is pretty good and seasoned well but still spits it out 😂
It's super processed and taco bells meat is questionable so that's prob why lol. I think he still though it was good tho
in other episodes susur done the same, he said that he just want to taste, he's not gonna swallow it
Prolly just didn’t want those calories tbh
He said in other videos that he's only tasting it, he's not eating it
a friend chef of mine does the same, I asked him why and he doesn't want to get into the details and he just says "to discipline myself between tasting and eating"
I love how engaged your dad is and how much he supports you guys. I enjoy watching him on the blogs the most.
I loveee seeing your father cook and just spend time with you! Every time he goes "mmm" while cooking it makes me smile.
I really enjoy how you ask your dad why hes doing what he does and just keep the entire process informative but really enjoyable, never subbed faster in my life!
It's probably like $30 USD give or take. Most services inflate the item prices and charge a delivery/service fee. Adds up really quick.
Yea hes soo balling he doesnt even realize this. In person this would be way cheaper.
Seems ridiculous though that getting it delivered essentially doubles the menu price. Sure the delivery service needs to get their cut, but you're not paying for each individual item to be brought to you. You're paying for the whole order to be brought to you all at once. With that logic it should cost the same for each item in your order to be delivered to you separately as it would altogether. If they show you the price breakdown before you pay I guess it's kosher, but to me it seems like they're trying to make the delivery cost appear cheap by hiding the actual cost in item pricing.
@@thehorseformerlywithoutana2522 The upcharge is restaurant sided not from the 3rd party. Because the 3rd party takes like 20-40% of the overall meal price the restaurant is forced to upcharge to keep making a profit. So the prices are set by the restaurant and they can't really alter it based on how much you order.
That's what i thought as well... I have a Taco Bell right down the street from me and would unfortunately eat there on a daily basis when i was in college so am very familiar with their prices, and that was definitely about $30 worth of food.
Man, what you got here is something special! I am so happy I came across this, it reminds me of my dad who was a Chef for 30 years before he passed. Seeing stuff like this reminds me of him, thanks for it man.
This is awesome! Thanks for posting this. It shows real life what someone with skills can do. Its nice you asking your dad to explain what he's doing. Keep them coming.
Had to subscribe. These moments in the kitchen with your pops are times you will never forget 🙌🙌
I liked how he kept calling the nacho cheese, “cheese mayo” hahaha
I love the relationship you and your dad have. Seems like you two communicate a lot and have a good communication with each other.
fr could never imagine anyrthing like this with my dad
@@augustoornelas3845 The same with me.
This is not only good because you had the great idea for the video, but your dad is not snobby and actually respected the Taco Bell ingredients and put together something awesome. You are both very creative.
Ever since i discovered this channel ive been binge watching. This should be a primetime show on food network. Your dad is a hell of a cook. But i think you deserve some credit for this idea for a youtube channel. Idk if you got his cooking skills but you definitely inherited his entrepreneurship.
I'm a career cook so I really like watching him work. If I'm ever in Canada I'm defitely coming to try his restaurant.
Every time I can’t think of something to make for dinner I just think of what your dad would do 🤣🤷🏽♂️works every time

Yeah, whoever they ordered that from literally bent them over. That's like MAYBE $20 worth of food from taco bell. Over $80 delivered is daylight robbery.

“I could’ve made it a little thinner your right” the way he says it makes my heart hurt. Honest, passion, and the joy of his craft.
i love the series of your dad. I've been watching nonstop
Can't get enough of this series. Very soothing and perfect for winding down after a long day 😁
I love watching these as someone who is new to cooking. Incredibly inspiring and beautiful
I’ve watched all the fast food reconstruction videos, your dad has crazy innovation and understanding of flavor profiles.
I love your dad, he really has inspired me to start cooking!
Your dad saying MhM every 3 seconds is so calming 🥲🥲🥲🥲
gotta say i love this video! first time ive seen your channel but seeing you and your dad working together to produce content like this.. just amazing :)
Your dad is the doggone bomb!! So glad this video was in my suggestions! He NEVER plays on Iron Chef. NEVER. Love watching him transforming food like this!
“I could’ve made it softer” love that response
This is a great idea and could be very successful. I watched the older ones and was searching for more. Saw you just put this one up and instantly watched. This is an idea that could have millions of subscribers.
When BuzzFeed was popular, this would have been the perfect show for their channel. However, they would not have been able to afford Susur and the show would not work without him.
You guys are my new fav binge watch. You and your dad are amazing
This deserves way more subs, this is way better than food network stuff. I feel like im in a weird way invited for supper. I really enjoy this mans view on food.
I totally agree! Seeing Chef Lee in his own kitchen and with his son is amazing. 😊
You got ripped off for sure, $20 or less is what it should've been
no, he got it delivered so it cost more especially if he didn't get free delivery
@@notsoggy. He said no delivery fees or taxes.
@@ranzac2806 what he meant was when he was asking his dad what he thought the price was, to not include the tax or delivery fee in what he thought it costed. It costed 63(I believe) without tax and delivery fee but with the tax and delivery fee included it’s 83(?)
@@ranzac2806 yes but even with without those it cost a lot I order today and a $10+ meal ended up being like $20-$25

you should make your dad a cooking channel. It would be cool to see some of his recipes and cooking tips :D
this would compete with babish
I love the background music... so soothing! Some videos are so loud and abrasive but yours are just a nice calming entertaining journey and I so enjoy them 🥰😊
He literally turns trash into gold.
What a talented human being.
I would pay to watch just standard cooking vids from your dad
This man is such a gem. *Protect at all costs*

Awesome channel. Cool that you guys get to spend so much time together and awesome to watch Pops cook.
Definitely Struck Gold With This Series. Keep it Up Brotha. Tell Dad We Are All His Kids Now. Lol. But seriously I love When Me & My Dad Cook Together.
I hope there’s a random Taco Bell employee who made this and is happy that there food is approved by an iron chef

Never eaten at Taco Bell but I was stunned STUNNED at how amazing the final product looked after you had transformed these dishes well :D amazing!
I enjoy cooking shows. You have a great channel & series. Make sure you thank your Dad everyday. He's very cool for helping you with this. Some parents don't encourage their children's creativity.
i loved watching your dad cook on Iron Chef back when i was kid. Definitely was one of inspiration to cook. love the content guys!
Love you and your dad bro you guys make my day better
Bruh your dad makes everything interesting this man is great
I love how he tastes it and spits it out, because he respects his body lol.
I love watching professional chefs doing stuff like this. It’s fun and not so serious which makes it refreshing to watch. ✌️
Like the Vlogs! Genuine and lofi music in between. 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Your dad is the star of this channel hands down.
I don’t think people realize cooking is an art. Art and science. Your dad is an artist.
Baking is a science, not cooking.
@Andy Chou You’re racist
I love this series. I love Chef Susur Lee he is the best! You have the best father in the world! Thank you for sharing

That soup looked delicious. When COVID is over, you should do a pop up restaurant with all these great creations your dad has created over these episodes.
The chemistry is the complete opposite of Sam The Cooking Guy. Top notch!
I love watching stuff like this Father and Son relationship
By far my best iron chief out of them all. Now my favorite UA-camr. Thank you. Respect from Las Vegas NV.
So much culinary knowledge... your dad is just soooo impressive!
HES JUST BRILLIANT...PERIOD..
Happy new Year man
I'm glad I just discovered your channel. I just Subscribed (to both channels), salute to The Iron Chef Dad & Jet! Very original & organic!
This guys insanely talented... as a former cook, this is next level
You mean the iron chef is talented? Who would've thought
yeah....we know ;)
Honestly your concept for this channel has made me a more creative home cook. My ingredients are limited in Kyiv Ukraine compared to my comfort zone I developed having access to various specialty stores for ethnic food and grocery stores like Giant Eagle Kroger and Whole Foods. It has motivated me to also put a little effort into my pre prepared foods here to take them to a level where it’s preferable to most restaurants. It allows me to save money.
I love this Chanel and I’m only 3 episodes in. I learn something new every time.
I've been a chef and would've absolutely loved to work under your dad. He seems like a great mentor above all else.
Let’s get Jet to 100k 🙏🏼 deserve it bro

Love this channel, lots of fun
Man I love everything about this channel except for the Jet Bent Lee part. Thank God for his father!
I can't believe how expensive that taco bell order was, +$60 and that was only a modest-sized meal
What kinda feasts are you having? $20 dollars at my Taco Bell can feed a family of 4-5 as a meal.
All that food is more than a womans recommended calorie intake
