I've been watching all kinds of videos of it all week, and my wife doesn't understand why. This was historic, going to be one of the great plays and great games in OU history.
Beautiful. This stand literally gave me chills. It’s been a LONG time since an OU defense cared enough to not let them walk in on 1st down just to save some gas.
The Huskers offense (not counting the defensive touchdown in 1985, I believe), had like two touchdowns in three years against Barry/Boz, if I recall correctly. If the "D" is back like that, and with the #5 Heisman candidate (as of today) taking the snaps on offense, then those days of knocking on the door of the national title will be BACK!!!
This is the one I was thinking about and comparing it to at the time, plus there’s another distinct difference I’d rather not dig into because 😡. But YES we may just have us a defense again. So cool.
This is the comparison I was looking for! Thanks for posting! Do you mind if I share it on Twitter? I’ll post it as a link to this video if you don’t mind me sharing it there.
When Lincoln Riley left Oklahoma he took a bunch of players with him Brent venables gets Oklahoma with players who end up getting into transfer portal in leaving so he really didn't have a bunch of good players last year everybody was worried that Brent venables what's wrong for their job but like everybody else said to just wait a year forward they're six and 0 and beat Texas now they have a good chance to go to the college playoffs my hat's off to Brent venables
In two separate yet very minor polls, they are #1 and #2 in the country, respectively. However, #5 in AP, and #7 in the Coaches Poll, ain't too shabby either!
That 84 first ou Texas I was 9 we got screwed it was a down pour all game , been to about 30 ou Texas worse weather ever but I was there I was there last year. Ou got a fumble and int neither counted no replay we win for sure. Ou 15 Tex 12 refs 3
It's been a while since I've jumped off my couch the way I did for that goal line stand.
Mannnn I jumped at least 3 feet 😂😂😂 along with that last drive. Haven’t felt that in a while!

Casillas and Bosworth plugging the middle and moving down the line were forces to be reckoned with.
Now that Lincoln Riley's defense is fortunately out of the way, the road to another national title have been opened.
We’re not there yet but you are correct
OU also had a memorable goal line stand against Nebraska in 1984.
Yeah. 2 in same year! I was 10. So I just thought it was normal!
@@bull124 Hehe, for OU that usually *IS* normal!
It's the normal in Norman.

The Boz!
I remember a OU Nebraska game under Switzer where OU stuffed Nebraska near the goal 4 times.
texass found out it's different when we have our starting quarterback and a defense to go with him.
Gawd I love good defense.
