  • Every composition by this composer is undeniably beautiful, but some are truly remarkable, and this piece certainly falls into that category. It's part of his first book of 10 Cantabile pieces, all of which rank among Pasini's finest works. From the same book, I have already shared his renowned No. 2 (For You), as well as the exquisite pieces 6, 9, and 10. My intention is to release only one or two pieces from this book per year, as they are incredibly special. Every time my fingers grace the keys to play a piece from this collection, I sense a transcendent connection with the composer - something truly magical occurs. I had planned to perform this particular piece on Tuesday, July 2 (yesterday evening), following a full and hectic day. I already had the sample set and desired registration in mind (soft strings with accompanying bourdon, clear solo voices, and very soft pedals). After setting up the recording equipment, I began to play. Remarkably, the second attempt resulted in the version you hear now. Despite the complex modulation and abundance of accidentals in the middle section, playing Pasini's work feels effortlessly natural to me. This piece holds a special place in my heart, and I sincerely hope that sentiment shines through in my performance. Enjoy!

Everything you say about this composition is true. Beautifully played, full of emotion, even pathos. Most moving.

Thanks a lot Andrew! I just have recorded another beautiful emotional piece by request of the composer. It’s brand new, the composer wrote it yesterday evening. The piece has a deep meaning to him. It’s a bad sad, but so beautiful! Tomorrow on my channel.

A very beautiful interpretation and performance of this tone poem by Enrico Pasini: bravo Rien! I can see why you connect with its gentle tranquility and deep sense of nostalgia.
Sunsets have been a source of inspiration and a symbol of beauty and majesty for centuries. Of course, the symbolism of sunsets varies from culture to culture, but it tends to be rich and diverse, reflecting the beauty and majesty of nature as well as our own emotions, experiences, and perspectives. Whether it's the end of a cycle, a fresh start, a moment of peace, or a time for reflection, sunsets offer us a powerful reminder of the beauty and mystery of life . . . that most precious gift we possess for such a brief moment of eternity.
