I think that the reason they're dropping points in earlier stages of the tournament is because the maps are much easier. The players here are more calibrated to more difficult maps, especially US. its no surprise if they at least drop a point in earlier rounds
what an absolute joy of a team to watch, idke and vaxei's performances in the UK match were so incredible tbh. idke literally broke combo once in the entire match, missing a few notes on a stream in labyrinth iirc i kinda wanna see a video on south koreas performance in the tourney, they got knocked to losers early vs australia but went on an insane winning streak that ended with one of the best tiebreaker matches in owc history imo
Cookiezi is similar to Rustbell, Rucker, Hvick225 when it comes to Tournaments, they are star players but majority of the time they have to carry an entire team.
Ersdown Liberia angelsim wasn’t that great in 2019. On Korea team, Tuna, Karuna, Aristia and Zeisen- performed a lot better than he did and were way more solid ^^ (not saying Angelsim is bad, anyone in owc is way better than I am anyway XD, I just found him to be not quite as good as usual)
The US team played extremely consistent throughout early stages and just outscaled during lategame. Their OWC'19 run will undoubtedly be remembered for a long time. Pretty sure we will not see such a dominant team for a few years. Was pretty shocked after seeing Vaxei/idke stats for the recaps - it was the best decision for idke to retire after that.

Also he never liked doing tournaments because he never really cared for them. He mainly did 1v1 tournaments and even then he didn't do so many of them. But the main reason he doesn't play in OWC is mainly the flag thing

he played in 3 maps versus the uk. he was the guy who decided "hide&seek" but ended up having the worst score of the team on the other 2 maps he played. this one wasn t played so i can t say for sure how the usa would have performed on this, but you could make an argument here that "hide&seek" would have been more viable if he was there. on hr3 he got 300k, while his standin for the map gomo got 200k. given that the us double FCed the map and won the map with 700k, the chance of him making a difference on this map is quite low. the other map he played, holy orders, wasn t played in GF either.
History always finds a way to repeat itself, whether it be illnesses, events, or games. So I bet in the future (near or far) there *will* be an event like this again. Could be a bit different.

Ehhh, they have a good shot at winning but just because you add one ultra good player to your team, that doesn't mean you automatically get a win. Like, if SK had Cookiezi or something, they still would've lost.
France is the team that caused most trouble to that dreamteam (NATIONAL PRIDE 😂) they scored one point with a nearly four men fc, and almost got a second point against them but NerO and PooN chocked 😭. They also had a few other good plays like Vroum’s WTF performance in the french warm up 😂😂😂 but ! It is true that Vaxei didn’t play so, I knooooow it maybe could have been a sweep if he had played but still ! I’m proud of my country ! I’m proud of Musty, FrayeurS, Besta, LogicSystem, NerO, -raizen-, VROUM CV VITE and ThePooN
Tbh tornaments became not exciting to watch as the winner was obvious from a very beginning. Why they couldnt just use the system like in ICPC, when you could participate and win only two times in a row.
