i think this entire saga just comes down to mostly mindblock and the perception of the score. back when idke started the grind this score was basically considered impossible for anyone but cookiezi, borderline impossible even for him. players were REALLY bad at spaced streams in relation to 2020. but he built the way up there over years. he proved its doable, its obvious he had the skill to fc it by the time of his last attempts but it just didnt happen to click. probably due to the tremendous community pressure and the years of attempts getting on his nerves. and then later when players have improved and score has been proven doable, the boundary of disbelief is gone and a player with the level of skill just gets on it and does it with none of the mental barrier.

I think Beast doesn't actually realise how good he is with HR. Being able to set a score like that on RoR is nutty but nowadays it's like he doesn't care about HR anymore.
Whitecat is very impressive, he's too good that the moment he got unbanned he climbed the no.1 spot in weeks. Respect to Whitecat for not giving up even he got called a cheater!
This man comes through again with an amazing video. This was definitely something that should've been documented. Although i hadn't found the game in 2017 and not even till mid 2018 and didnt really look towards the community in 2019 something like this was always floating above my head as i read through #english en #osu chat in the game at the time. that would go complete off the rails when he would try to go for the score again. and especially when he was close, just shows you how big this was and how people picked it up. Great work man! and keep it up! I see myself looking forward to these videos since last one that you made which was done exceptionally well and deserves all the attention its getting right now. i get that you were trying to spice it up a little bit with the o-so hyped stream and the editing/color grading that you were trying to do but it was kinda hard to see what was actually going on. especially on Idke's part since the color were so right in your face. I believe it was considered HR farm map, because most of top tier HR players were/are skilled enough to fc the map, only if nerves allowed that to happen. This means that if they just retry spammed enough, they could potentially fc it at some point with HR. However these type of people are underestimating how hard the map really is.
@@yoshisdream yeah, the map looks simple (simple is different from easy), but people don't realize that you don't spam a map until you FC it. You only have a limited amount of tries before you mindblock the map and need to stop playing it for a few months. That's why osu is hard. You don't just play Osu 8 hours a day and expect to become good at osu, no, you gonna mindblock every single map you play. And Idke, being the only person who can "spam" this map consistently can't even FC it after years, I don't expect anyone to be able to farm this. Retrying only works with shorter maps, for longer maps you just have to get good.
People just call everything farmy when it gives good pp. I don't understand the hate for it. If you are going to achieve a pp milestone it's going to be farmy. No pp record is a non farmy map. That doesn't mean it's not difficult. If you are going for a record, be it a world record or personal. You are going to reach a cap to where you have to outperform your best. Where I'm getting at, I wish the community would stop subtracting value of a score because it's farmy. Imo a map being farmy isn't relevant to the achievement of the fc. If you want to fc any map you find difficult you have to retry spam. If it gives good pp or not, you still have to retry spam. If it gives good pp just another brain dead retry spam farmy map. If it doesn't give insane pp it holds respect for the community example Azers United. Tldr: RoR farmy or not, only one person holds HR fc so it's incredibly difficult.
@@teddanville6996 I disagree longer maps are easier for me to retry spam because I am more likely to forget the part that is mind blocked and it gives me more time to get in a focus state so I'm more consistent and less things are distracting

I don't understand the concept when he spammed retries for a map that isn't farmy. The same thing is occurring. You are spamming retries for a map you want to fc. Still, 1k pp for 50 seconds has a lot more intensity than a long map like RoR. Take every single triple mod fc that isn't even including FGsky. Which is literally a skillset only he has basically. And in fairness there are still quite a bit of fc that are long with DT. The 1ks even chokes from Vaxei were all really long but still farmy due to the amount of pp. Do be reminded that if a map is shorter. You must increase the intensity if you want it to be a similar pp to something that is 10 minutes because you have time to gradually build up the pp. Take for example One guy, has to serve 10 people in 10 seconds. Take the other guy, has to serve 10 people but has a minute. In principle, the first guy has to work more intensely. Again in priniciple, the same thing happens with pp. You could make 1k pp 1 second long but no human could work under those conditions. They don't have enough time, and simply can't play fast enough to make up for it. The PP system is definitely broken, so it's not as straightforward as I'm putting it. But I think length is a misconception on why it's broken. Honesty was probably one of the most farmy maps I have seen in my entire life. It litereally flooded reddit with "my top pp play" and Idke refused to touch it. That's not even counting the fact that HR had to be nerfed because of how much PP was being gained from it. Or we can also blame idke. Ofc at this point I'm just ranting but I suppose my final question do you think it's only short maps that's the problem?
Namjala Latak he could do Blue Zenith but Freedom dive requires much more stamina and speed that he has, if he starts practicing high bpm he could pull it of in some months

Namjala Latak no doubt he is really good at spaced. I just want to see him beat one more of Shige’s legendary scores. The one I think no one ever will defeat is prbly Freedom Dive, but anything could happen
