I really like the idea of tracking the books and what you did with them. Our curriculum has us doing the same read aloud for two days and each day is a different skill with it.
I’m a 20ish year teacher and I’m LOVING your videos, chill energy, and ideas. Have you thought about sending parents just the key to the math review before the test? Have kids take home their review that you spot checked together in class. It saves on grading the WHOLE review for you, and you get to review the most important or troubling problems. Parents win bc they can help their child study and know what will be on the test. Works great with math and science.
Hello Katie !, There's nothing that a good DVR cannot fix when it comes to recording and watching good programming. Back in my school days it was stay home and catch it or leave home and miss it specifically when it comes to My School Days and when I had to wake up early every Sunday Morning for Church and in effect between My Teachers and My Parents you've got a very hyper and anxious autistic SPED school student / child. The closest things to recording programming back in those days was the VCR and mom and dad wasn't about to let me load the house with archived recordable video tapes. And now, those days are over and I get to stay up as long as My Body has energy dominantly. With that said, you looked pretty in your outfit on your picture day. I needed to see you looking all good because it brought me a smile closer to when I need it most. I hope that the school year is going as well as possible for you. - Dwight
Hi!! Fellow FL teacher... I've been loving your content! I also teach 3rd and am looking for small group ideas. I love your center chart you have. Is it available on tpt or anything?
I am sharing this in my next vlog but it really just depends on the weekly skill! I have this pack from TPT that I use sometimes and sometimes I just look for freebies hahaha www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/EDITABLE-No-Prep-Spelling-Worksheets-for-Any-12-Word-List-7518504 www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Editable-Spelling-Activities-for-Any-List-of-Words-EDITABLE-Spelling-Worksheets-2898428
Can you share your list of picture books that you incorporate into your curriculum throughout the year? This summer I started looking for ideas, but I didn't get very far.
So far I have used Tops and Bottoms (theme), The Last Stop on Market Street (analyzing change in characters), Creepy Carrots (descriptive language), and When Lunch Strikes Back (non fiction text features and problem and solution)
@@mrs_katie_in_elementary thank you! I teach 3rd grade as well and I've wanted to teach/introduce the reading skills with picture books for the sake of engagement. How do you find different books to use?
I know this is so off topic lol but I’m about to take my praxis 2 exam for elementary education. What tips or advice do you have?! I would be so grateful bc honestly I’m a nervous wreck lol TIA 🩷

Hello, again! Loving your videos, as always. I was wondering if you could share a copy of that behavior/AR tracking chart. That looks awesome!
So good thanks
Love your wavy hair!
Aww thanks!!
Hi, I love your videos! Can you make a morning video??
You’re a fantastic teacher! 👏👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What does your weekly work for spelling look like? We use HMH into reading and I do not like their worksheets.

@@kaitlinjenkins1727 I’ve just been researching titles as I plan and saving suggestions I see on Instagram!
@@mrs_katie_in_elementary awesome, thank you!!
What do you use to scan your books? Is it an App to organize your books?
It's an app my district has so I am not sure if it's available outside of our district's use -- sorry!
❤❤❤

Check your public library for practice books! I didn’t have to purchase any of the practice material for any of mine!
@@RaeleenxMarie thank you 😊
I recently took mine and Kathleen Jasper’s online videos/website was pivotal in my passing! Good luck!
