Thank you for this video (and all of your other videos). I love the no talking, no music, and highlighting the correct tool size. It is very helpful and useful and I appreciate that you take the time to make them for people like us!
Simplest timing belt I’ve ever seen wow looks like an hour job!
Loved the Japanese subtitles, I'm sure some people over there would appreciate having a good tutorial to follow
I can only imagine your disgust when you saw that Fram oil filter on there.
It was over 9000.
@@MrSubaru1387 😂
Denso
old times mr subaru tutorial vid! full proffessional as always.
Sir, your japanese language skill is immaculate! 💯 thank you for the tutorials!
Well job!! When I did on my sambar van, I cleaned and put some liquid gasket between the engine and exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe to fix some vacuum leaks. The sambar becomes more smooth to drive 🚗👍🏻
I've been fearing the 100,000km mark on my '91 Sambar because I've heard of the legendary 100,000km timing belt change the EN07s are known to fail at, and mine is floating closer to 50,000km every day. This very quickly became accessible for me, once I saw how it's all laid out so easily step by step. I gotta love how easy these little trucks are to work on. Thanks dude!
Please give more tips for us USA/western Sambar owners if you can too! We're all desperate for info to keep our little dream machines chuggin.
I'm at 78,551km and my cam seal, crank seal, and water pump were all leaking. I'd honestly advise 80,000km service, over 100,000km.
Great video.......feels like I'm watching an OG video, with just subs👍
great educational how to for Sambar owners outthere!
Super helpful!!! Feel free to replace everything :D.
Video approved! Muteki lugnuts? Orange radioactive can fail lol. Great video, cat got your tongue hahaha. Looking forward to part 2.
Gorilla lugs from Amazon. Lol. Been using them for years. Had them on my LGT, Patches, the SVX, 2 of my old WRXs, and now on the Sambar. Yeah, figured with the Sambar being overwhelmingly Japanese market, most of the people seeking it out for knowledge, rather an entertainment, would be non-English speaking. Hence the Japanese subtitles.
@@MrSubaru1387 Makes sense. I think I also used gorilla lugs during my modding days. Stay frosty bro!
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so. Love it!
Very nice. Subtitles were cool too.
Thanks for the video. Just got my 93 sambar supercharged and did oil, air, and fuel filters as well as some clean up, spark plugs and the belts. I inspected the timing belt while I was in there and it was last done in 2015 it seems so it's that time for me. 動画ありがとう!タイミングベルトのサービスはかんたん見てでしょう
What cleaning solution did you use for the oil from the seals? Also where did you get the parts from? I need to do my cam seal and belt. And which cam gear tool was that? The standard avcs cam tool for EJs?
The quality is awesome!
Thanks!
loving the japanese subbed asmr style
Thats cool the coolant drain
Which cam gear tool were you using? None of them have useful measurements on the ads so I'm not sure which tool would work. I need to get them anyway for AVCS motors
Hey, great video. I won’t ask about the canister or solution you’re using because I actually read all the comments first… how long of a job would you say part 1 of this video is? I have not watched part 2 yet, but I’d like to know how many hours went into the whole job?
Your instructions and video technique is so understandable and clear that I think if you made an ebooklet using photos and your instructions you could be a millionaire
Great video and very informative
Where can you pick up the socket you were using to get the timing covers off with
" Konichiwa, viewers, and welcome to the channel."
MrSubaru , Perfect Japanese subset. show me next video
and also click in Amazon Japan
What is the best scanner for Subarus?
what's the best way to remove the water pump when the top pice snaps off after one pry?
How do you get that coolant drain bolt back in place?
Sambar for sale in my area of ct. Interference engine?
Great video.....as always. Where did you get that cool solvent sprayer? What do have use as a cleaner?
It's brake parts cleaner. Buy it by the 5 gallon barrel full. Lot cheaper than buying aerosol cans. amzn.to/2XOAulB for the canister.
@@MrSubaru1387 Great thanks! Yeah, i buy brake cleaner by the 6 packs or more, Looks like that sprayer can spray at all angles....im guessing to pressurize its compressed air or hand pump??
@@wyomikey65 yeah, has a schrader valve, just like a tire. Fill/pressurize with shop air.
What is that tool you are using on that gear. Your links don't help me. Can you supply a link and/or tool part number. Thanks!
whats that cool little parts sprayer? and what cleaner are u using, looks like it works really well
It's brake parts cleaner. It's a Sure-Shot can. amzn.to/2XOAulB
thanks!!!
What's the degreaser liquid you're using?
Brake parts cleaner. Again.
Is there an Aisin Timing Belt Kit for the Sambar EN07?
my sambar suddenly overheated, leaked coolant out of reservoir, I turned it off, towed it home, restarted it and it sudden started smoking from engine, turn off abruptly and hasnt started back, it turns over but doesnt fire. I was thinking the issue may be a failed water pump and a broken timing belt? Any thoughts before I go digging? I checked the oil and coolant and there is no mixing....
Sounds like a blown head gasket. Cylinder leakage test to check.
What's the tool you used for the crankshaft pulley that has the bolts?
Homemade
I like your videos informative, can I ask you where you got the parts cleaner canister?
Amazon. Believe it’s in my store. If not, here’s a link to it. amzn.to/3XgBJYe
@@MrSubaru1387 Thanks that helped a lot, where did you get the wand extention?
Seriously...how hard or easy is it to get one of these? I want one
What did you have in the spray can?
Brake parts cleaner.
Loved every part of the video except for that dang Fram oil filter!
It's getting replaced with a black, Japanese, Subaru/Tokyo Roki filter asap. Importer installed the FRAM. 🤮
@@MrSubaru1387 Nice! Just clocked 157k miles on my Bugeye WRX sedan thanks to a lot of your videos!
Hey,can you provide me Subaru sambar van accelator cable
How did got a Japanese Caption?
I added them. Since the vehicle is a Japanese one, and most likely more Japanese viewers, than US viewers, will be watching it for repair info, rather than entertainment.
10:44 Oooh was that the Ko-ken nut grip? Me like a lot lol
Yup. Lol
@@MrSubaru1387 lol, was happy to see that too.
Bro do you have any idea what those captions said? 🤣🤣🤣
Well, I put them there, so, yes. Lol
いい仕事仲間
ありがとうございました
Who makes you 10mm extended swivel hex bit
Ko-ken.
@@MrSubaru1387 do you know what ko-ken calls them having a hard time finding them on their website
Swivel nut setters, I believe. 113UN is the prefix of the part number.
@@MrSubaru1387 what length seems there is a 100mm, 150mm and 200mm length
I believe the 10mm was a 200mm. I can check shortly.
Damn Daniel SSR JDM wheels
Yup. Lol. Imported them from UpGarage in Japan.
@@MrSubaru1387 so beautiful brother
Harbor freight Daytona floor jack winstead of snap on save big bucks
I have a Snap-on FJ300 too. Bought this as a second. The Snap-on jack is currently in my MAC tools truck.
Speak to me...
The vehicle is a Japanese market vehicle. The vast majority of people seeking out this video for knowledge are going to be non-English speaking. Hence the Japanese subtitles. English speakers will mainly view the video for entertainment purposes. So, decided silence would be best. Same format I used in my repair videos for years.
Ugh, crappy Fram filter....
Yup... Importer stuck it on there... 🙄 🙄 🙄 Luckily the Sambar and Justy both use the same black, made in Japan, Subaru, Tokyo Roki filter. Still in production and avaliable at US dealers. It's coming off real soon.
