    Great thanks
    I actually wish more people would post videos like this rather than multiple people banging on about the exact same specs and what not
    As a buyer, seeing multiple examples of the lens in operation gives us a better insight into if the lens is for us
    So thanks for this

      Isaac Snowhite For sure! Ya would be a little tricky with it being manual focus but if you have the f stop fairly high you should be able to keep it on infinity and get the shots you want unless you want to shoot closer to the subject!

    how to shoot 4K 120fps?)
    Or shoot 1080 and upscale export?

    • @FilmTyler
      @FilmTyler  4 роки тому

      So you can only shoot 120fps in 1080p. You could upscale but you wouldn't get true 4k viewing because what you've shot isn't 4k! I believe you'll lose a bit of quality as technically you're stretching the image to fit a 4k project! I'd advise against it really. Thanks for watching!

      @@FilmTyler Fantastic video! Great work. I have to get one of these lenses for my A6300. Just a question, you said you edited the 4K and 1080p footage in a 4K project. How does this work, if we are not upscaling/stretching the 1080p sized footage to fit the 4K project size? I'm learning, so bare with me :) Thanks!

      @FilmTyler  3 роки тому +1

      @@albovell Thanks mate! And yes no worries so because I shot some of it in 4k I just edited in a 4k project. The 120fps you see is still 1080p! 🤟

    • @albovell
      @albovell 3 роки тому

      @@FilmTyler Awesome, thanks for your lightning fast reply, cool :) OK! I was just wondering this, because in Premiere, if I create a 4K project, and import also 1080p footage there, the 1080p footage is of course smaller in pixel dimensions, so it fills only part of the 4K screen dimension. So you either 1) have to resize the 1080p footage larger to fill the whole 4K screen, which looks bad, or 2) create a smaller 1080p project, and downsize the 4K footage in it so it will fit into the smaller 1080p dimension. It seems Final Cut Pro makes this easier. :) Thanks again!

      Sony 6500 and 6600 both have inbody image stabilization. For other apsc-s you can use in-camera active stabilization (heavy image crop) or catalyst browse in post (low image crop and time consuming since you also gave to deal with FCP, PremierePro or Da Vinci. But, cropped 12mm shouldn't be claustrophobic as opposed to crops of standard 16mm or 18mm lenses. Otherwise, there's the Sony 11mm f1.8 with great autofocus on the one hand and abysmal distortion on the other.

      Jasper Koekoek I don’t have too much trouble keeping the focus. Especially when the f-stop is super high. Only thing for me is that the slow mo isn’t as sharp and sometimes gives the illusion of a slight focus problem. But that’s down to the camera itself.

    You nice vid Bro? What framerate did u use to Tender the Video ? Because the normal Speed Parts Look Good. I have Problems when I Shoot 120fps and drag it to my 24fps Timeline and then Playback at normal Speed. My footage looks choppy then :S

    • @FilmTyler
      @FilmTyler  4 роки тому +1

      Lasse Meinke Hi mate! So the video was edited in a 25fps timeline. I simply slowed down the footage by 25%. All of my 25fps footage (normal speed) was shot in 4k. Unsure on the problem you’re having with playback. Make sure it’s all fully rendered before playing back?

    • @laddeloben
      @laddeloben 4 роки тому

      Tyler Palmer Filmmaker yea sorry for my Description. Maybe its easier when i describe it like that: when I record one clip in 120fps and the final Version of this clip should be 24fps, I create a sequence with 24fps. Now the Problem so its only one clip but in this clip i want to switch between slowmo ( 20% at 120fps) and normal speed. For example theres a guy in the clip and im moving toward him with my cam and I want to edit it like the first few seconds its normal speed and then turns into slowmo. My normal speed footage looks choppy then because its a 24fps timeline and 120fps footage. But I see in a lot of videos the drescribed scenery with smooth normal Speed and slowmo. Cheers for your answer Mate!

      flo asse Yes their would be a fair bit of a difference between the two. If you have a look at my video and compare to a 16mm video you’ll be able to see! Benefit of the 16 is that you get f1.4 so better in low light by a little.
