Dude. You are such a good tech UA-camr. Your reviews are on point wether it be a good or bad product. You are so honest and your attitude is generally just positive no matter what the product is. I have been looking for a good, reliable tech reviewer and nobody compares to you. Keep up the amazing work and I hope to see you blow up soon because you deserve it.
I agree, I’m confident that he doesn’t get paid by companies and that he doesn’t have some secret brand loyalty. Personally I try to find the best brand with out using any bias and then from that point forward I’ll be loyal to that brand. Like for monitors, oh man, I found a great brand called Pixio. Their monitors are top notch quality and affordably priced. For example, they have a 1440p, 165 Hz, 1 ms response time monitor for only $300. I currently have a monitor just like it from AOC except for that it has a slightly lower refresh rate (144) and it was $500. So Pixio definitely will earn me as a customer next time I’m in the market for a monitor.

Is there a wired gaming headset in existence with super light clamping pressure at the ears, no pressure point at the top of the band, and offers a mic monitoring/sidetone feature? I suffer from chronic headaches and currently have a Razer Kraken Tournament headset, but even this hurts the top and sides of my head. I cant get the mic to work on these no matter what I do. My corsair hs60 usb dongle crapped out on me and I got these as a xmas gift as part of those bundle kits. The stupid scratch card razor gives you to activate the 7.1 is also VERY VERY easy to damage if you rub it too hard which I did. @@swapnilsaha7629 Whoa, been a while since I commented that. Yes I did eventually buy it, got it replaced AND eventually return it. Just be wary of the quality and buy it from a place with good replacent policies (that actually has stock to replace if necessary) Mine has no issues SO FAR, but i've read some horror stories, especially from the USA and from Steelseries directly.
Great review ! The only thing that i would recommend is while you’re doing the mic test please record yourself so we can also see how you positioned your mic in relation to how it sounds so we can get an idea of a good positioning.

great review! im going from a dying soundbar to a gaming headset and wasnt sure if a cheaper ($60) would compare to the $100 + ones so hopefully i enjoy it when it comes tomorrow.
I am looking to use this headset on my PC. I bought the Razer Blackshark V2 X and notice it doesn't come with a USB Sound Card. My purpose in buying it is mostly to have use with the microphone. I notice that it says certain things are needed in the booklet as follows: Audio - Devices with 3.5mm audio jack, Audio/mic splitter extension cable usage - Devices with separate 3.5mm audio and microphone jacks, and Audio + microphone usage - Devides with 3.5mm audio + microphone combined jack. I already downloaded the 7.1 Surround Sound to my PC, but under the instructions given it doesn't give me the option of a USB Sound Card. It only shows up on my HP PC to saying RealTek Audio Headphone or RealTek Audio Speaker. I have it set with the Audio Headphone, but the problem is that I hear it straight from my computer and not the headset itself. Also, I tried to buy an audio + microphone combined jack and the sales person at Best Buy didn't know what it is so to speak. They sold me an Audio 3.5mm Auxiliary Cable. Is this the same as the Audio + Microphone Combined jack? I am having a very difficult time with trying to use this headset on my PC. The one I used before the Hyper X was discontinued which lasted me a good three years and this is more comfortable. Are you able to help me with this issue? Is the Audio Auxiliary Cable 3.5mm the same as an Audio + Microphone jack?
I don’t know what to do! I just got this headset and I’m really disliking it. I’m getting headaches and feel like I’m recovering from a cold every time I finish gaming. I honestly miss my now 7 year old turtle beach XO Ones over these things. I picked them up randomly one time as a backup and ended up just perfect. Damn, I don’t know what to do anymore.
I like the 2019 Krakens better. These just don't have enough bass for me. Good for game foot steps, bad for everything else. The only thing that the Sharks do better is the top head padding and noise isolation. The mic is fairly even on both.

Thank you for mentions Rainbowsix Siege. It has such unique sound mechanics that I think it’s worth bringing up. It is probably the most sound reliant (competitive) FPS game.
been looking for a lightweight headset with good audio quality and nice flexibility. came across the blackshark v2 x, but havent been able to find a review that goes in depth with the headset's flexibility/swivel, so i honestly couldnt tell if it was a feature or not hahah. thank you so much for your in depth review, and thank you for actually touching on the swivel!
will definitely be buying these as soon as i can, they will be such an upgrade from my current headset (lacklustre audio quality, no swivel and thus no proper sound isolation, puts heavy pressure on my glasses and causes headaches)
update? are they good?
@@sub-vm3dm ended up buying another product after trying them out in store and realising that the metal rods for size adjustment were too finicky for my liking. got a pair of sony h3 inzone instead 😅 (which i am loving - sound quality is lit, mic quality is good, and barely any headaches!)
@@astralram besides the side adjustments are there any other problems? would you still recommend them? i'm planning on buying them today but i've got mixed feelings. what do you think?
Thanks for the post in the community tab, with that sale I bought a pair of steelseries arctis 1, the 20% off sale in the uk pushed me to get it
How’d you like it ?
Got these for my PC £35 you need to download the 7.1 software as it makes the headset 100 times better. So impressed, i am listening to all my favourite songs and can hear all sorts i never heard before. so worth the money giving such happy vibes. i had to use rear pc ports as front jacks caused mic to cut out.
You scared me, 12:34.
i recently purchased a HyperX Cloud Alpha Pro for 65€! I think I got myself a great deal! But i think BlackShark V2 X is a nice headset as well.
Keep going with you suberb work 😀🦾

Thank you for the help lad, I was having a hard time deciding what headset to buy but your reviews really helped out.

This is still the best headset since it’s release, the black shark V2 line. The footstep directionality is unmatched under 2 bills. It’s just crazy. I feel bad I have such an advantage

@@swapnilsaha7629 sr for the late cmt, but u can use THX Spatial Audio to set ur best sound quality n performance, they share the 50% off discount sometime so u can get it. you legit sold me on these headphones
they are good!
got the Blackshark V2 today wtih the soundcard. and i must say its pretty amazing! i was upgrading from arctis 5. and i highly recomend the V2 over arctis 5. i can easily hear footsteps and where the shots are coming from and the only thing i turned on is the THX audio. if i turn on the gaming mode in the razer synapse. it may sound stupid, but i gets over overwhelming with footsteps and shots! i with the game mode on i think i could play pubg with closed eyes! i am super impressed. and of course much love techne :)

Plz do "Blackshark V2 X vs Kraken X"
X with usb!
I think the Blackshark V2 X outperforms the Kraken X in audio quality and microphone clarity (based on internet reviews)
Blackshark V2X Is much better
@@Lefathai I think V2 is the one that outperforms kraken x and not V2 X.
@@xeno4162 Your comment can be interpreted in two ways so here's two replies:
1) Well the V2 costs $99 and the V2 X costs $49, so that's sort of a no-brainer. That also wasn't his question lmao
2) Really? What makes the V2 X not perform better than the Kraken X?
Damm Techne your camera quality is on point! Great review as always my man.
A stinkin good review
Is there a wired gaming headset in existence with super light clamping pressure at the ears, no pressure point at the top of the band, and offers a mic monitoring/sidetone feature? I suffer from chronic headaches and currently have a Razer Kraken Tournament headset, but even this hurts the top and sides of my head. Wearing Razer earbuds is my current solution, but I'd prefer a headset. Thanks so much for anyone who can help! ♥
And if im going to use them on xbox series, the xbox have the dolby access that is almost the same thing or better than de 7.1 of PC right?
They literally don't work with Xbox if you're trying to talk with them
Yaay, I wanted a review by you on them.
Excellent review 👍
thank you so much
I love these headsets but only thing I have an issue with, and maybe just me, is the right ear get uncomfortable after just 2 hours which I've never experienced with other headsets I've owned so im still on the hund for comfortable ones. Nice review
Ever tried logitech g335?? It is by far the most comfortable headset i have ever tried...and then the blackshark v2 x

this is the ONLY video about this headset that says the size of the extesion cable. Thanks !
if u spect a comfortable headseth u are not getting it with this one, the clamp force is disgusting and u not only feel it pressing against your head but against your jaw aswell.
love that you covered the length of cable. i use my Desktop on my desk to Show case it so i run my cable through the back of my mother board under mydesk and then out to me so its managed and not all over the place. The V2 sounds like someone's farting in the background.
Because the v2x is connected to motherboard if they both connect to motherboard they will sound the same actually the v2 is better because you could adjusted mic on synapses while v2x you can’t

I really miss my old game con headset it was full usb with no dongle and had the best base heavy audio ever AND lasted me almost ten years. All they make now is cheap junk these days I just want a good usb mic with none of the nonsense.
Ah, I’d probably get these if the microphone was detachable
blackshark v2 has removable mic. not the x variant tho

@@swapnilsaha7629 Whoa, been a while since I commented that. Yes I did eventually buy it, got it replaced AND eventually return it. Sat really tight around my head, and the sound was incredibly bass heavy even after Eq'ing it all out. After trying a few other headsets finally bought an Arctis 5.
Love the sound and fit. Just be wary of the quality and buy it from a place with good replacent policies (that actually has stock to replace if necessary) Mine has no issues SO FAR, but i've read some horror stories, especially from the USA and from Steelseries directly.

1:46 The blackshark v2 is, as the name indicates, a rehash of a previous razer headset and took design cues from it. It's far from an original design though, that type of "aviator/ pilot" style headset has been around for a good while now.
great review! im going from a dying soundbar to a gaming headset and wasnt sure if a cheaper ($60) would compare to the $100 + ones so hopefully i enjoy it when it comes tomorrow.
Damn, I don’t know what to do anymore.
i hvent seen a single negative review abou this headset ...lol... dude im buying this.. and its cheap .. damn
I like the 2019 Krakens better. These just don't have enough bass for me. Good for game foot steps, bad for everything else. The only thing that the Sharks do better is the top head padding and noise isolation. The mic is fairly even on both.
If you know anything about soundstage you will know the Blacksharks are far superior
