      My mic does not work on my laptop how to solve this😔

    • @GTSongwriter
      @GTSongwriter 8 місяців тому

      The mic picks up my laptop fans over my voice. Everyone hates me using this new headset!
      I've listened to my mic sound via recording it using Goldwave and Reaper DAW.
      I didn't test without fan because my laptop needs it's fans.

    i have this headset and i love it, the only problem i have is that all of my friends say im way too loud on their end and i also have echo in group chats

    • @ThomasMuehler
      @ThomasMuehler  9 місяців тому

      I have no idea what causes echo to be honest. Part of me suspects that maybe that is from the volume from your headset being loud enough that it comes through the microphone. As for your microphone being too loud you should be able to lower it in your settings. But that is one of those things that is just hard. Thanks for letting me know your going through that. But I'm sorry that you are! That's frustrating.

    Have you used the Turtle Beach Recon 500? I currently have that headset and wondering if the Blackshark V2x would be an upgrade?

    • @ThomasMuehler
      @ThomasMuehler  7 місяців тому +2

      I have not tried the Recon 500. I don't know how that compares to the Blackshark V2x. But I don't think it would be an upgrade based off the specs and pricing of both headsets. Both also seem to have high review scores. I think for you to get better sound you'd likely need to bump into the next price category ($120 - $150). Otherwise, they are all going to be quite similar. Additionally, you could look into the HyperX Cloud III. Which I think could give you better sound. As I think the sound on it competes with a lot of other headsets that are more expensive. But is wired doesn't have as many features.

      @ThomasMuehler  Рік тому

      Technically using a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter should work on allowing you to get sound. But the microphone probably won't work. I'd test it but I returned this headset. As I wasn't a big fan on how it sounded for my personal taste and have other headsets I enjoy more.

    Razer BS V X headset makes all my team sound like they are speaking thru a pillow. Overall audio quality is muffled.
    I even used it in my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th generation audio interface and that couldn't help it at all!
    I just got it today and sending it back to bestbuy! Not worth $49 with discount!
    My Amazon $20 gaming headset sounds way better clarity and balance of sound.
    My Sony MDR-7506s allows me to know the "real" difference in audio quality.

      Honestly, I don't know your budget. Seems like $250ish. My personal absolute favorite gaming headphones that I've ever tried by a significant margin are the Corsair HS80 Wired. That's what I'd recommend. I'll be doing a review on them here soon (unfortunately my normal job and real life have been keeping me away from my channel more than I'd like so I'm very behind schedule). But I use those anytime I'm gaming. Even over my expensive studio headphones. They have an incredible microphone. To the point my friend (and I) thought they were the studio microphone that I use. Incredible sound (especially for the price). My title is likely going to be "these headphones make me want to game". As they literally do. They are great for competitive and single player gaming. As I can hear where things are easily while also feeling fully immersed. Maybe I'm touting them up too much. Which I'm a bit afraid I'm doing as I make them out to be the best thing since sliced bread. So do take all of this with a grain of salt. But I absolutely love them and think they are excellent but not perfect and they do have some flaws. And if you end up getting them I'd love to hear your thoughts to see if I'm just on drugs regarding them or not. lol. As maybe the stars aligned on that particular headset for my particular hearing and they are just perfect for me. As some other reviews don't seem to be as positive as what I'm going to give them. But yeah, that would be my recommendation. But if you only are thinking out of the ones you listed you'll have to let me know and I'll write up a new comment explaining my thoughts on just those.

      The more expensive it's a headset the more Quality You Will get. Get the Audeze Maxwell or H6 EPOS.
      PC38X the answer. The HyperX aren't better than the Audeze Maxwell I don't think they can compete vs Senheiser yet.

    How do i enable the 7.1 on ps5 or is it automatic?

    • @ThomasMuehler
      @ThomasMuehler  Рік тому

      The PS5 uses something called "temptest audio" which is an equivalent of 7.1. If you go under the audio settings of the PS5 it'll have somewhere that says surround audio or something to enable it. I don't remember the exact name but it'll be obvious when you see it. If you need me to I can give you the exact wording.

      Do you recommend using the surround sound in all games or just shooter games ??

    • @ThomasMuehler
      @ThomasMuehler  Рік тому

      @@youssefmah2241 On console I leave it on all the time and have never had any issues. As it is more baked into the system making it automatically pick the best settings.
      With that said, I don't play FPS on my console (only my PC). At least on PC most FPS games DON'T have surround sound. So, you get better audio by leaving it OFF. So if you were playing FPS on console, felt like the audio was not good, you could try turning off the surround and seeing if it sounds better.

    I own the Cougar Phontum S (i bought them in 2018 for 70USD, final price included shipping) and i got the Blackshark V2 X one week ago for 65Euros (final price included shipping). Literally they feel cheap, nothing special with the sound, my phontum S headset overal sounds better, the bass is overexposed u need to tune it with EQ, and the mic is a midrage mic for that kind of money. So nothing special. Dont get me wrong. I do not mean that it is for the trash, but overal not worth the price. If u can find it at 30-35max it is a good deal. For 45+shipping its a no

      How are you liking the V2 Pro Wireless?

    • @ExodusXML
      @ExodusXML 3 роки тому

      @@ThomasMuehler The G pro Superlight is basically an identical shape, but the hump on the back of the mouse is much less pronounced, making it smaller by a bit. The weight difference, however, is massive. It is far easier to glide and lift than the G Pro original, surely in part because of the better skates on the bottom. The clicks are a little stiffer than I would've imagined, but once you get used to them they're fine. All in all though, it's definitely better than the G Pro, which was already an incredible mouse.
      For the Blackshark V2 Pro Wireless, it's a phenomenal headset. For starters, the battery life is absolutely nutty, something like 24 hours of life, letting you charge it once every other day in between use. Massive plus there. But the audio quality is what is really important, both for the mic and the headphones themselves. The headphones sound great, and the THX Spatial Audio magic thing that they use, which is basically simulated surround sound, sounds incredible for it being totally simulated. Really great use of the THX partnership Razer has, it's probably the best simulated spatial audio technology on the market. The mic is really good for what it is as well, of course I don't really use it because I have a dedicated microphone, but I have found a really massive use for it, being VR. The mic sounds reasonable quality, and some of the enhancements you can do via software make it even better.
      All in all, both products are really well executed. The V2 Pro is wonderful, and it's been my daily driver headphones since soon after it released. It's held up amazingly, no reduced stiffness in the weird wire adjustment system they have for it, and no problems with any of the faux leather coming apart or anything else being an issue. I'll have to get some more experience with the G Pro Superlight, though it seems to be about what I expected, which is a lighter version of the already great G Pro, which is the mouse I was using prior to it.

    • @ThomasMuehler
      @ThomasMuehler  3 роки тому

      @@ExodusXML I totally agree. I much prefer the Superlight over the original GPW. But basically its the GPW without RGB, side buttons, updated switches (depending on when you bought the GPW), and most importantly reduced weight and improved skates.
      And that's great to hear about the Blackshark V2 Pro.

      Not that I'm aware of. Unless if Phones have the ability to do the processing like it is done on PC. Since I'm a basic b*tch when it comes to cell phones I don't have a lot of knowledge in that area. I know iPhone has some spatial stuff but not sure if that is limited to the earbuds themselves or if it is done on the phone itself, a mixture of both, or if it is locked behind certain devices (which sounds like a very Apple thing to do).

    Blackshark v2 x or logitech g335???

    • @ThomasMuehler
      @ThomasMuehler  2 роки тому +1

      Comes down to personal preference. I much prefer the G335. As I think it is better in nearly every category. However, it is treble focused meaning very anemic (light) bass. Which a lot of people WON'T like. Where the Blackshark V2 tends to have a tuning that is safer for most consumers by being more bass heavy. But not as detailed. In other words, I see the Blackshark V2 as more of a enjoyment headphone (as you don't hear all the nuances of the sound). Where the G335 is a great competitive headset as you can take apart the details but can come across as boring when trying to get fully immersed in a game or video.
