@@issalyssanicole4341Imagine doing a violin solo, that's tough. I know that because I play the violin myself. The way you play the violin, the amount of focus it takes.
Just a little tip, if you’re having trouble with it, don’t do some of the trills. Some of them can throw you off, especially when you’re nervous, That’s how I became better at it.
I admire the way you pushed through the mistakes and kept the performance going. It's nerve-wracking to perform a solo, especially with a transition from sitting with the band to standing center-stage. You did better than I ever did on that piece and should be proud. It's a difficult riff: Anyone who thinks they can do better - hand them your piccolo and let them try.
NICELY DONE! Without a doubt, IMO you've totally NAILED the most difficult part of any piece JPS ever wrote. Take great pride in your performance. You own it!...It makes my musical heart very happy
Usually the piece is played with 7 if not more piccolos which would drown out the saxophones with its high shrill. This player is outnumbered and none of the guys have the balls to play the piccolo.
Brandon Cho Productions You’re just a defensive sax player, the trumpets are naturally 100x louder than a saxophone That doesnt mean they can’t learn to play fucking quietly. The saxophones have no valid excuse.
As a fellow piccolo player and a flutist that’s played this piece you did amazing that solo is not easy!!! You did everything right you pushed through the mistakes, and kept calm to keep the performance going. well done 👏👏👏
Congratulations from a fellow flutist who's played quite a few solos! It's not easy to beat the nerves. It takes practice and quite a few performances/exposure to get used to it, so I commend you on your effort!
Awww she did so well! However, the sax section was way to loud. They need more work on thier dynamics. Other than that, they all did a great job. I played this many times throughout the years. Its not an easy peice to play, especially the piccolo solo. Great job, kiddos!
You did amazing! The piccolo solo is probably the most complicated part of the entire piece that most adults wouldn’t be able to master it the way you did. Yes, you made a couple errors, it’s a live performance, mistakes are going to happen
You did good better than I could of have ever done but I’m an alto sax player and solos are really scary especially when I had to play infront of my whole class once but to do solos better you should probably learn it by memory

This solo is nerve racking. I applaud her, even if it isn't perfect. She did well. It's a fast piece.
As a piccolo player, I'd know. ☺️💗👏🏼

@@ianlombardo9758 That said, uncultered sax players like these need to chill tf out
Same here. There is no need to be that loud.
The solo was rlly good but the saxophones ruined the whole song, they were way too loud especially during the solo
Good job
Lol saxes are always too loud!
Brandon Cho yes but they could at least play more quiet since its one piccolo 🤦♀️
Lol the saxes are always too loud ugh

@Brandon Cho Productions lol no? Sax can play quietly
What a magnificent rendition of my favorite March! The Piccolos are fantastic. The Great John Phillips Sousa is so proud of these Musicians!
You played well. I can tell you put lots and lots of time and effort into your solo.
I can tell you worked very hard! Not even the best flutists (piccolos too ) in my band could play this as well as you did! Great job
You can see how nervous she is but she did amazing x
Better than my progress. The Piccolo solo is very fast and hard to achieve. But I wish you the best of luck to perfect it!

Holy hell, you're amazing. I'm a Clarinet player in band (7th) grade, and we have 3 Piccolos.
Bones and Avocado we didn't even have 3 flutes smh
3!! Oh my

My marching band had 19 and 23 flutes.

I’m getting nervous just waiting for the solo to happen
The saxes. Chill dawg.
VERY NICE!!! Coming from another flute/piccolo player. The important thing is that you tried it and you did really good!! You go girl! 🙃
That's cool when this song has the solo!
