"Don't be afraid" is great advice. I've jumped on many projects I had little experience, but if you have the right tools and you take your time taking it apart and identifying the problem, it will go back together correctly in time.
Seeing your dogs run around the garage reminds me of when I was about 12, and took care of my neighbors dogs that looked a lot like yours, he was an avid hunter.👍
Swapping a 454 in a 2500 suburban, good time, if you don’t need to drive it in a month. Thankfully a Milwaukee impact is about the same size as the starter, the 454 has 6 bolts into the torque converter, twice as fun as the 53
I wanting to replace my 2003 5.3 engine with a lower mileage one. Mine is drive by wire and I’m looking at a 2002 that is drive by cable. Would I be able to swap intakes and use my stock harness and my ecu? Or what??? Anyone know?
For sure. Thanks for the comments. Part 2 will be out soon and hopefully it is running. Then we can get Mrs landsharks 68 in and put a 400 in it which will take far les time 😂

Thank you. I drive it everyday and haven’t had any problems

Great tip on the oil sensor while engine is out instead of just guessing it’ll last long enough.
Thanks. I had a tech tell me to do that and the knock sensors just because it is out and I am glad I did. Thanks for watching !
Check out those sweet top post to side post battery cable eh-dapters!!!
Stay tuned for the second part where it gets the correct battery and everything else. Thanks for watching

Doesn’t sound fun at all. Always wanted a 2500 sub with 454 or 8.1. 😍
Just replaced my Starter in 2001…45 minutes of horrible just for extraction 😂
O ring on the oil pickup tube in pan might have restored some oil pressure
Those Tahoes are a pain. Mine also needed a engine, I ended up selling it instead
In the process of pulling the engine and trans outta mine ! Thought about selling and decided to do the swap

I was always told that 00-04 where interchangeable engines but I think drive by wire would be more ecu reliant My 02 is drive by wire
The newer stuff is definitely not easy to work on.
