Same engine specs of the 2022 model (105hp 100Nm torque) but a beautiful new look together with other great features.

As a ‘22 890R owner I am happy to see the upgrades to the ‘23 models. Having said that, the hazard lights is not a feature, it’s just fixing a big miss on the previous models.

Hi Paolo - do you find the new suspension to be significantly better off road and on road? Do the clickers on the front have significant effect? I ask this because I have a Gen 1 Superduke and a 2016 690 Duke R and on neither bike do the clickers have much effect - if you are not happy with the suspension then you can't fix it with the clickers. Thanks.
I have to say that these new shocks are quite good. It feels like an “in between” the old wp Apex shocks of the S model and the WP that were fitted on the R model. So, quite sturdy and responsive!

Hi - I am the same height as you and was wondering how is the wind buffeting compared to the '22 890 R model?
Way less. Almost absent i would say. The downside of this new windshield is only that you get more air on your shoulders compared to the old model.

Good upgrades to a motorcycle that needed some fine tuning...the hazard was a big miss on previous models as a safety kit...Molto bene, ora vale veramente considerarla come alternativa alle varie maxy enduro.

Is the suspension on the new S model now the same as on the Norden?
@@derekhosken1899 almost identical. Norden has 20mm more travel in the front (on paper) and 15mm more in the back, suspension is WP Apex with 43mm forks on both bikes, and with same settings to dial in, so yea.. more edgy Norden. also the software, display, coolant compartment position... all same.

Thanks mate! The bike is the same as the previous model engine wise. Smooth at low rpm if used in offroad mode. Obviously the rally mode gives access to 100% of power.
But the engine has been improved from the 790 model indeed
Nice features, but what about the well-known KTM's reliability issues? And now it's made in China.
china? Really? That's a shame. I usually try my very best to avoid anything with any sort of chinese connection although I realise that can be very frustratingly difficult regarding technological products. A well specced Desert X should prove the equal of the new 890 in every respect whilst also affording the moral high ground. Or you can spend a bit more - 1290 - or a bit less - 690 - and enjoy genuine Austrian machinery.
Actually I think only the 2023 790 adv will be made in china by CFMoto
Hey! So the 890 adventure is made in Europe and so all its parts. The new 790 adventure instead is made by CF Moto in china.

Hi there, yes actually that‘s the model I‘m waiting for as 1,96m large rider of a Duke 890 R which gives me plenty of fun. Also owned a 2021 Adv. 890 R this year for 1 month, but the suspension and seat comfort where too much Offroad-oriented for my taste. The update for 2023 now looks much more interesting and as I‘m 98% on streets, a SMT would be my perfect match. 😃 Always safe riding & Greetz from Germany! 😉
The previous 890 had such a ugly front end with that "floating" front cowling that looked like a praying mantis head . Those new body panels make it look much more complete and streamlined.
That's why the bike needs the high fender kit from the Adv R.
Hopefully the old rock-hard-seat engineer was fired. Hello Mr. soft and gentle seat person haha.
The new seat is probably one of the best features of this new 890
