- A short recap from my trip with the KTM 890 ADVENTURE, for the official launch of the motorcycle.
From the KTM HQ in Austria, to Greece, via three of the most iconic riding locations in Italy.
The Italian Alps, The Tuscan Hills and the swirly roads of the Amalfi Coast.
2500 km of pure adventure.

great video, I have a 390 and will be looking to trade up to the 890 next year. Question on your riding curious on your left thumb position not being under the bar when you hit the pannier. Thanks!
Wow! what attention to details!! :) I didn't even realized that!! haha well, that is usually my "rest" position when I drive conservatively...
Not using the clutch anymore is so much easier that I forgot to put my thumb back down!
@@PaoloCattaneo as a newer rider I always look at hand positions on videos when breaking, rev matching, trial braking etc to learn from more experienced riders. I thought you may have been nursing an old MX injury or something :) keep up the great work!

A fun bike! Nice video. Have you ridden 790 and can compare the engines?
Yes, i had the chance to try the 790 too. Although the engines are very similar, I feel the 890 is a more comprehensive motor. Better at low rpm, better at high rpm. I also felt less vibrations to be honest.
Grande Paolo! Bellissimo viaggio. Come la trovi rispetto alla 1190? il motore da le stesse sensazioni o è un po' meno cattivo?
Decisamente motore meno "pieno" e più facile da gestire. Elettronica migliorata, distribuzione pesi ASSOLUTAMENTE migliore, con il serbatoio basso. E poi, grande miglioria con il bicilindrico in parallelo e' che non scalda le chiappe finalmente ! :)
@@PaoloCattaneo Ottimo, Grazie mille! ho una 1190 come la tua che uso quotidianamente a Milano e per fare viaggi "lunghi" (2-3000km), quello che mi crea problemi è proprio il baricentro alto che su sterrato e nel traffico la rendono impegnativa. Al motore più vivace invece ci si abitua anche troppo in fretta, al calore appena ci si ferma purtroppo non ci si abitua mai :P

Hi, I own a 2020 KTM 790 Adventure S and I love it !What size panniers do you have on each side of your bike (38 liter/31 liter) ?
Hello. I have Giant Loop panniers. These are called Round the World panniers and they are 45liters each. 90 liters in total.
The hard cases are touratech and they are asimmetrical. Size can be found on touratech website. I wouldn't go for those ones though. Mine broke after few months.

Great video!! Do you know what the top speed of the KTM 890 is ?
Yes! I have another video on my channel that talks about all the specifics of the 890 and all the little flaws too. Top speed is 220km/h on the odometer and it s actually a bit less measured with proper instruments.
What did you think of wind protection at 120 kph? Congrats brother 👍. Oh..I went to see the other video "watch before you buy"👏
yes, I found that helmet shape and visor are crucial for wind resistance in this sense. With the 890 I don't have much problem even at high speed, but having the sun visor sticking out, I have to incline my head forward a bit to avoid excessive noise.

Sospensioni molto buone. Ovviamente non sono performance come magari la R o la Rally, ma per quello che uno deve fare di solito in viaggio, sono decisamente ottime

ti consiglio la gopro max 360. se sei a budget ce n'è un'altra chiamata insta360. ma la qualità di gopro non si batte. se vuoi quelle normali, dalla gopro hero black 7 in poi lo stabilizzatore di immagini è top

Ciao, visto che hai percorso molti chilometri, avrai certamente notato pregi e difetti , quali sono?
Ciao! pregi sicuramente il motore potente ma non troppo, ideale per qualsiasi livello di guida e terreno. migliorato rispetto al 790. freni potentissimi e ottime sospensioni (soprattutto anteriori). fantastica maneggevolezza e stabilità sia in off che on road. Difetti...è un po bassina per me (190cm) ma con la sella powerparts migliora. L'indicatore della benza indica solo metà serbatoio...bisogna solo prenderci la mano.

Paolo is part of the official launch of the bike - as it clearly says in the description of the video.
In basic term, he just got paid for this. Usual advertisement agreement for content creators.
