When you cut the center hole for the bearing plate you could have used a holesaw in the drill press or chucked the plate in the lathe useing the 4 mounting holes.
wanted to see more. like what powers it and how is it affixed to whatever you are putting it in or on. like it is it is just a box with a fancy spinning shaft and blades. looked for link to part two but did not find one. because of that i have to give this video an incomplete.
Great mechanic and welding skills but it seems like this is a lot of work for such a small chipper. Wouldn’t it have been better to make it about three times the size to handle large diameter branches?
Just 2 bolts per blade? you need more! Those bolts will snap, theres tremendious forces involved in a Wood chipper. Would suggest at least 4 bolts per blade.
Hey man you did a good job on this. Why did you go for narrow design with long blades and not the drum design with staggered blades? I don’t have the eqiptnent to work on sheet thicker than 1/4” so have too gone with this arrangement but a little smaller, using pillow blocks rather than flange bearings for ease of adjusting cutting height. It seems all the drum designs are direct drive off motor.
What was that ,that you used for the blades? I need one of these to chew up sawmill slabs. I have some half inch x 4 inch mild steel bar stock that I thought about making the blades from but I'm afraid mild steel will bend at the cutting edge.
Wood Chipper with 1 shaft are not really good. Just because it can cut about 2-3 cm based on wood density. Wood Chipper with 2 shafts are really better. Can cut much more, up to 6-8 cm
Maximaler Zeitverlust.
Should have done your welding without a shirt. I found that wearing only a t-shirt leaves tan lines on the upper part of the arms after the radiation burn heals.
I think it will jamb as there is no shear plate. Plus depth of cut is extreme with no feed control. We need to see further how this performed. Its not how chippers are normally made.
I don’t think this will work - it will probably need a shelf with blade to provide a space for the chips to shear. Otherwise it will jam! Unless you show otherwise. P.s please don’t take your shirt off again!
why did you cut out the center with a grinder after you drilled the four holes why not skip the four holes and cut out the center with the grinder ????
Masakra 😮 Tam BHP to nie istniało,takie wiertło by mogło dużo krzywdy narobić...dobrze że ci nie obruciło i łap nie pocieło,śruby zamiast wzmacniane to zwykłe i to bez podkładek sprężynowych he i jeszcze to trasowanie pod otwory......oś zmierzona na pałe🤦
Holy Moses. Those blades mean business; I Cant wait to see em in action
Good work. thanks

What do you attach this to? Electric engine by belt? Gasoline engine hooked to shaft?
workout schedule. you are pretty shredded.
you look great
Congratulations on your work. I would like to know if I can buy a wood chipper. Thanks!
Good Luck
Can you do a small one that can run on 240v for a home workshop

let us see this thing working
Does it work?
Hello... Can you send me the sketchup project please ? Thank you for advance
Para que sirve esa herramienta

i think it was a leaf spring
All that great work snd you didn’t show us in operation????????????????

Según tu q cargada isistes
please make a video, how its works!?
Yes the proof of the pudding. . . . . . . . I notice you put your shirt on before welding!
Hello, what are the dimensions of the blade?
Super

Pozdrawiam.
W profesjonalnych rębakach 0.2 mm
Forgot the keyway in the shaft. blades stick too far which increases vibration.
Home made?

The size of the square shaft on which the cutting knives are mounted is 3.5 cm wide, 3.5 cm high, and 12 cm long.
Greetings.

why did you cut out the center with a grinder after you drilled the four holes why not skip the four holes and cut out the center with the grinder ????
I had thick steel and later it was easier for me to cut off the middle, grinder is not a laser.
holes did not have to be square, just cut them out with hole saw. lots cleaner and quicker
Me gusta el pico y era
