I got on the highest roof in Qingce village and disguised as a pot. The Aether hunter ran around aimlessly, failing to catch any rebels, one of whom obtained the favor. Here’s where it got good. At 30 seconds left, the hunter was at the opposite side of the map. I went to the edge of the roof and switched to the giant scarecrow. The hunter STILL didn’t see me so I spammed the jump. 8 seconds left and they saw me. At 7 seconds I jumped off the building. 5 seconds and I hit the ground. At 4 seconds they were madly sprinting over to me, and I was sliding towards them. 3, 2, at 1 second we were tantalizingly close, like a pair of lovers running towards each other… and then the game ended with the hunter just a few feet away. If the game was a mere millisecond longer, i would’ve been caught. That was my best game. Also, I was playing as Heizou, so it kinda lines up with his character
I'm legit having so much fun in this event. Seeing a chair dragging itself across Dawn Winery never ceases to crack me up. I wish the event would last longer even with no rewards.
I just got off of genshin and I was a rebel (as Raiden) meanwhile everyone else, including the hunter was a Miko. Every single time i saw a Miko appreach me, my heart skipped a bit. While running from one of them, a second Miko appeared out of nowhere and you can't imagine how stressed I was because of no stamina and the third Miko was just laughing their ass off in the chat.
I was playing no-disguise with Sayu on the chasm, everyone was using a smol character and we kept spooking eachother bc apparently no one was wearing disguises at all and just forgot who the hunter was. The whole time I was wheezing my butt off until I got caught. Good times.

Had a similar experience today. Got marked by Sensor Aura over 3 times and escaped, relocated, marked again 3+ times, escaped & claimed favor, relocated and hid behind a house with illusion beacon all while disguised as an inazuma bucket lol.
I remember back when windtrace first came out I kept messing with the Hunter (I was the last rebel left) I kept going invisible and running past the Hunter and would hide behind trees when they got close to me. I wouldn’t change into an object. It was just hilarious and I ended up winning the game
Its the yae miko mains i swear 😭 theyre either too good or really funnily bad. One time tho, i got an itto main once and they really lived up to their character
I'm a miko main, and I'm good but I never used her in the event since I thought that taller male character run the fastest And with them it's easier to run away or chase someone I use zhongli or ayato
I was Sayu in the chasm, and the Hunter was Zhongli. I climbed up in the corner of the building and just clung there without a disguise the whole time. He got the favor and marked me a few times but never looked up to find me clinging to the wall at the ceiling like Spiderman lolololol

I had only disguised myself since I was being chased. someone had unfortunately gotten the blue glowing beam of light so I did the most logical thing. untransformed and run up to them to say "L" in chat. did I also get caught? yes, but it was a fun time! Everyone is really friendly and humored my antics!
Ok so long story short, I was playing as kaeya and became the hunter. The map was Qingce village, I was playing against three people among which was a barbara. Barbara proceeded to tell me I was going down, I simply replied ok, we'll see about that. The round starts and I find a pot in a tree and a box on the roof. Keep in mind my ms was red and theirs was green. Anyways the favour is spawned and I run over and grab it, this led to a 20 second chase where I was desperately trying to catch the barbara. Their teamates cheering them on in the chat, I scramble to hit them with the hunter's skill. And finally I catch them. By far the most fun I had in the game.
I really like it when new player's first time playing this event.😁 They still don't know the tricks and locations. Sadly after a few days of watching YT they become veterans too..
I played for the first time during this event without watching any videos until now and I've already become a pro at this despite not looking up ideas lol it's not that difficult

Omg i remember a while ago i was still learning the control of windtrace and im playing on mobile so i mixed up the buttons a lot, and this one game i managed to survive until the last 10 seconds or so with Sayu, then the hunter spotted me, and i ran around for my life screaming "SPRINT SAYU SPRINTTTT" while i spammed the button with panic and and Sayu managed to change into tree-chair-rock EVERY 0.1 MILISECOND...... and there i was thinking "SAYU STOP BECOMING A CHAIR AND GOODAMNNN SPRINTTT"😭😭 god i even remember the hunter spamming their button too

A strategy that has surprisingly worked before is that as a rebel, I stood next to NPCs without disguising myself. Hunters would go past me and not even realize I’m there in plain sight lol
a while ago i was a rebel in gandarva village (i think??) and was the only one left after the hunter had the rebels marked. ran as far as i can until the mark disappeared, got close to the border, turned into a stool, and lodged myself between a rock and wooden flooring practically invisible from any angle. somehow managed to miss the hunter's detection by a hair's breadth at least 3 times.
windtrace is the best event also there was this one time when someone climbed onto the springvale windmill roof and then i was like "I WAS HERE FIRST GO HIDE IN A CHIMNEY OR SOMETHING" the hnter found us both and got 50 extra coins for the acheivement :(
When I played the hunter as ayato, I easily caught 2 rebels n the last one was a rebel scara that gave me trouble..but when I got the favor they were like AYATO U ****** 🤣🤣🤣
For the record, I hate Childes in Windtrace cuz they always played me when I'm the hunter & always gets me when they're the hunter. Except for 2 Childes recently, 1 failed to catch anyone & 1 being the last one caught by me. Surprised me.
I played one round with 3 Zhongli's. I asked the hunter to catch me so I would get the last few coins I needed. Apparently the others figured playing the game regularly after that wasn't worth it, so they held an Osmathus Wine lamenting party at one of the tables lol. I opted to attend too in my invisible state, after needlessly placing dummies for a while and wondering where everyone had gone to, until I eventually stumbled over their little get-together behind the Winery. I was playing as Childe that round, if anyone was wondering xD

Catch believe I dodged childe... lol but I didn’t know how to do anything and didn’t want to sit as a pot. Second game I couldn’t figure out how to get out of disguise. So heizou is marking me and I’m meanwhile just being a barrel on the mine pole. Then a box scurrying out the door he ran into lol

LOL! whenever Im the hunter I always use Childe coz I notice that I win the majority of the games, or its just fun being Childe as a hunter too.
