I would be curious to know what it would cost to get me one of these, something as mechanical as this, I have a lot of junk but can't seem to put together the right pieces of junk to make something so immaculate as yours has become
Mostly for looks. I wanted the thin gold edge around the mailbox. It ended up being less than I thought it would, but it still turned out great. Also, it grinds easier than stainless filler and I knew there would be a ton of that. Finally, since it melts before the base material, and it was 100% corner joints, I could use less heat and not worry about blowing through anywhere. It is super solid and still out there getting beat down every day and looks about as good as it did when I put it up almost two years ago!
Yes, my oven is custom built. I used metal framing joists for the base structure, 16ga galvanized sheet for the inner walls, and 20ga galvanized sheet for the outer walls. It has regular 3.5" r-19 fiberglass insulation in the walls. Elements are from a couple old house ovens, and it has a PID to control it that I got on ebay. It's really quite basic.

Why use the silicon bronze with the stainless. Just curious why not 309 or some stainless filler. For looks or?
