Sorry we didn't shout out your channel in the video! I didn't realize you had one 😅 I'll pin your comment so people can check out the other cool stuff you make! Thanks for the file, these turned out great! - Walker
For large sheet goods in my cnc , I made alignment jigs for one corner and one side , perfect zero every time and no looking the vanishing tape measure.
I received my "W" tree, LOVE it! 💜 it looks 😍 beautiful! I love how ill be able to store it flat after the holidays. Thanks Tay (and others who helped with this creation) keep up the good work!
Racing to get my diy plasma table up and running before the season really starts. Resulted to outsourcing and getting some holiday items laser cut to have some inventory with still a decent margin left. I agree a plasma table isn't a money printer but it can make a decent amount of it if you put time and effort into it.
Happy Thanksgiving tay and the gang. Love that idea. Can’t wait to see what you guys make next. Can’t wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
Nice, Thanks for the tip on the water spots, I have bought a couple of files from etsy and some have been fantastic others have been full of problems.. I learned how to create my own files using several different programs depending on what I'm looking to make, but there is definitely a feeling of triumph when you can save time/money buying a good file. Happy Holidays from T-Town Welding and Fabrication, Tehachapi, California.
I bought a laser cutter a while back, and made a formula about how much I need to bill out my laser time at for my laser to pay for itself and replace itself within a reasonable time frame. It helps price my stuff too, because I don't want to lose money by selling something too cheap. These types of trinkets are the sweet spot for laser as well, because the short laser time intersects with the perceived value meaning I can charge what it's worth. There are tons of projects that are fun to make but will never be profitable because the laser time and labour make the cost prohibitive meaning people won't spend what they're actually worth.
Yeah, if the torch comes down near the edge of a cut or plate and the air is going, it'll sometimes splash the water up and trick the machine into thinking it's touched down already. Simply pause cutting, let the air stop, then continue
Hey Tay, because of this video, i joined that facebook group and bought Chase’s files to make a bunch of these trees to give away for a young ladies school music program fundraiser. Just wanted to let you know, if you 180 every other row, you can utilize WAY more of your sheet! I got 32 out of a 4x8 sheet… if i could post a pic I would! I will have a video of it out on my channel at some point…
Actually noticed it on the x and y gantry doesn't want to come off and they are galvanized tubes that the table rides on! Tried wirecup on grinder, crome a polish nothing seems to work??
You should do all of the states and sell them as collectables, have them clip together somehow. Collect them all and have a heavy AF united States on your wall!
Is the purpose of the water under the plasma table to prevent heat warpage? Partly. The water soaks up heat and sparks etc. I seen people run the water level lower so the water does not really get on the metal you cut but still seams to soak up the sparks and work.
So just out of curiosity is there some type of metal planner you could run all these through instead of cleaning them up by hand? Just enough to do some or all of the clean up for you?
"is there some type of metal planner you could run all these through" Get a 12" disc sander and put on a 60 grit disc. Then all you do is place each part flat against the disc and press for however long it takes, you need to test to find the right amount of time. Usually it is not long unless your disc is worn down. I use a jig and a medium power magnet to hold my parts in the middle so I put even pressure on them. It goes pretty quick.
Great video guys 👍 just wondering, do you treat the metal for rust when kept bare? Or just as is? Keep you good work! I am learning cnc plasma, and you are all great help for lot of people 👌 thanks man
Wyatt, go metric / 24 hr! life is so much simpler over here... dividing things by 10, not fractions. and time doesn't swap some wierd letters around. 😁
If the chemicals are for treating your water, they are water-soluble. All you are doing is re-dissolving the crystals that formed when the chemicals dried on the metal. Plain water will probably work just as well.
Love your videos! You look like you’d benefit greatly from a boom lift for your forklift, and a vevor magnetic lifter for those big sheets. I’d be surprised you don’t already own one but, just a thought since I keep watching you drop the sheets on the cnc with the forks, just wanted to drop my 2¢ lol anyway, happy holidays keep the education coming plzty🫡
@@LiftArcStudios I did not know ether, just went and checked them out. For full size sheets I suggest a frame be made with center hook attachment with 2 magnetic lifters, one an each end so the full size sheet does not bow and peel itself away from the magnet.
Not going to lie, when you were mentioned metal Christmas tree I thought of charle brown christmas when they look for a Christmas tree ua-cam.com/users/clipUgkx6kkQqdaPz1p2hpUmfV_YPi43YnKbv8l8

I was about to tag you Chase!

The coolant reactivates its self .. best solvent for the coolant is itself... learned that trying to clean old marvel band saw.
Always a fun ride watching you fellas create while adding in some clowning around.
Reticulation - giraffe spots. Awesome job Taylor and Wyatt. Happy Thanksgiving

"Can I put your genius someplace else?" Sticker worthy.

Those look great! Hope yall have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!
6:35 while you’re pointing everything out, can you throw in exactly where Croatoan is?
I see you are running an omic tip on your plasma torch. Do you have any trouble with the water messing with the sensor?

Have you seen the beer deer
Card board deer head
I would think a metal version would sell
those are wild! would definitely take some careful designing
I just found this video and I was wondering how well your sales were on this little tree? Thanks
Cool idea with the Christmas tree's! Are you using fine cut consumables in your torch when cutting the trees?
Nope! just the normal 45A nozzle and electrode, thats pretty idea for 11ga material. cheers!

,a cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you…….
Great idea!
Was there any kind of paint or powder coat finish or did you leave these bare metal ?
what are you using on the grinder to smooth out the edges?
9:00 I prefer metric time, the imperial time weirds me out ;)
How many did you sell in total? Just curious

what’s the yellow hand held tool wyatt was using for polishing called
i think that was just an angle grinder with a wire cup on it

I thought I recognised you , black dog program, sorry behind the times here in England 😂
Great fucking idea 💡 make that money 💰 boy!!!!!!
Tay, do me a MN cutout!
What's is the thickness of the sheet?
Pretty sure I bought your files on Etsy. I'm sure your files have made a lot of people money.
I’m with Wyatt. 12 noon isn’t am or pm…

Plain water will probably work just as well. It does but everything rust unless it is all painted pretty well.
Would you send me a dxf of the tree . Please and Thank you

OOOOOO i didnt know vevor had magnetic lifters.... that would help out a LOT. thanks for the suggestion!

May wife ask if you all were in to the Eggnog?
I said Probably. Great video, just stay out of the Eggnog.
Haha, no US measurements are the must clusterfed :) The rest of the worlds standards are really easy :)

If you can make so much money making metal cut outs, then why waste your time making videos?
