    Would love to see you explain how you mixed this track, how you use the different eq filters on all the vocals[if you did this], your thought process, the why, the when, the how ect. Thx in advance in advance

      Agreed, I always feel like the songs that get used for tutorials are sometimes unlistenable lol

    When we recorded more than 40 years ago, our goal was to simply give the voice track (1 of 8) 50% presence in the overall mix. So much has changed since then.
    Great source material and overview of the details. Thanks, Matty!

    Any advice for setting volume levels as a novice mixing engineer when there are this many layers? A lot of engineers will say "trust your ear" but when you're new you don't have an ear yet.

    Can you break down the rest of this track? The instrumental mix is just as interesting in my opinion!

    Something weird is going on with the audio - the music sounds very bright, wide and phasy. You might want to take a loot at that, Matty. Nice breakdown!

    Vocals already compressed processed and polished. I m sorry but…..i consider this already mixed and fixed and now this engineer is adding on top of it. Guys this is not exactly the reality unless you got a major label. Good luck with that. I normally would hit skip on this vid since its already mixed and he adds on top of it but i do have respect to this engineer so i stayed🤘

      This is more about production and harmony than mixing. I've found myself in this position too, where someone wants something sounding massive, but they just haven't layered stuff enough.

      People like you is so many bad music exist , you think you know something but really know nothing. Matty is mixing at an high level and clearly he’s already did most of the work but when you’re receiving sessions from top tier producers this is how sessions come already 80% mixed good arrangements vocals tuned etc. you sound crazy

    • @cekirdekci32
      @cekirdekci32 5 місяців тому

      @@LoftyMediaNetwork my bro chill. Do you know what mixing is? Look at this vocal waveform lol this is already mixed. Are you able to see all the limiter on that waveform🤣If 80 percent of the song is vocals and vocals already mixed than it means song is mixed. Literally. But I follow this engineer for mixing.

    Great example of another song these days that's mixed well and technically sound, but just horrible lyrics!
