I need a little manual transmission truck like this in my life, good on ya for building your dream ride
When I changed the transmission in it I was trying to do a T56 swap in it. I would have loved to make this truck a manual. Thanks for watching!
Very nice!! Clean and tasteful. I'm about to start a 1984 project, just looking around. This is definitely one of my very favorite builds.
Thank you for that nice compliment! Man, it's nice to know that so many people like yourself appreciate my hard work. Check out my other videos if you like. A lot has changed since this particular video. Thanks Again!
Rear end and gear
Building a VT 4.3 soon
That is a nice set up. You learn to appreciate it alot more when you build it yourself. I like it. Very much so. Good job.
I appreciate that my friend. Worked hard on it and its slowly getting where I want it. Soon as I find a beater to drive to work I'm going to redo the paint on it.
Very nice job thanks for sharing
Beautiful truck man
Thank's my friend. T'was a lot of work, lol. Thanks for watching!
Real happy to see this truck done. Congrats brother, hope you enjoy it
That's super nice of you! I've been driving and enjoying it. I was telling my girlfriend that I feel like one of those mid life crisis guys that buy a Vette and drive it like 40mph lol. I just enjoy it and the sound of it.
I have watched this video multiple times. Nice truck!!!
I really appreciate it my friend! And thank you for all of you're views and watching!
@Blitzkreger00 absolutely. I am swaping mine now on my channel and I am always looking for ideas and your truck is an inspiration. Love it.
@@dtperformance256 hell yeah! Man that really means a lot to me knowing that I'm able to give you that inspiration. Have you checked out my older videos when I was putting it all in?
@@Blitzkreger00 yes. Been watching them tonight. I am at the install part of my build. I watched your videos when I first started and now going back catching on on the others.
"Was it worth it" Hell yeah, that looks incredible and must be a friggen blast to drive. It sounds insane to. I'd be smiling from ear to ear driving that bad boy.
It's a lot of fun for sure, lol. Gonna be posting a new video real soon so be sure to check it out. Thanks for watching!

Congrats on the build! One of the cleanest best looking s10’s I’ve ever seen. Should be well into the 11’s in the 1/4 mile for sure!
I appreciate it! Well a lot has changed since this video LoL. Check out my latest video and that should fill you in. But, I will be making another video soon as I get some engine stuff lined up. Thanks for watching!
Worth every penny, awesome job.
Thanks HotRod! Big changes coming in the near future. When it happens I will be posting a new video on everything that is getting and being done. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic truck great sounding too.

Nice ride Jeffery! I’ll give you call when I start to build one. I use to have a 350 in a S-10 blazer.
LoL sweet! My first V8 S-10 was a bad ass 350. Can't go wrong with those. Thanks guys watching!
Thinking about buying my cousins 91 S10 and potentially tackling a swap. So watching these videos on what other people be doing gives a good direction!
Get it done my friend! It's a lot of work and weeding out issues. Mine is finally getting pretty close to being done. Check out my other videos.if you like. I have a little series of me tackling my swap as well LoL. I really do appreciate you watching.

Sweet lil truck, looks good. In the middle of my project,. I prefer the older square bodies but already had my 2000 sonoma.
I really appreciate it! That's cool that you have around body I wouldn't mind having one myself. Bought a 2001 brand new back in the day and I loved it
Sick build man!
Thanks! I really appreciate you watching and complimenting. You get bored check out my more recent content. Thanks for watching my friend!
That's a nice ride!
Thanks! I try my best to keep it as clean as possible. Hard thing to do when it's a daily and have to deal with the elements. Check out my other vids of you like. Thanks for watching!
That is one nice looking 1st Gen S10. I'm really heal. Not over done and very tasteful build. I really like the way you have left it 99% stock appearing. I would imagine it scoots down the road pretty damn hard. That p/u is a real thing of beauty you did a damn good job and it shows that you took your time and did EVERYTHING right the first time around. It sounds BADASS 😎. Hell yeah brother I don't even know you but I can tell you are a damn fine mechanic/fabricator. I absolutely love the fact that you left the factory A/C and heater, that makes it a rear street truck. I built a 327 2 speed power glide Chevy Luv and it took me almost 2 years to finish it and do it right the first time around. It ran low 11's on street tires and 91 octane pump gas. But it wasn't as nice as your first gen S10 in this video. Anyway great job brother and keep up the good hard work and drive her like you built her to be drive. Happy motoring. If you decide to sell her please post her here on UA-cam cause I would jump at the chance to own such a well built little p/u truck.
Man... I really appreciate this awesome comment and compliment on my truck! Your truck sounds like a real runner as well. I really wanted to keep the street machine concept for this build. And i do enjoy turning my own wrenches as well. nice people like you are one of the reasons i enjoy doing it and posting it for everyone to see. I've done some new things to it since this video. If you get bored have a look at my more recent content. A lot has changed since this video. And I thank you for watching!

nice job!!
Thank you very much! Have a happy new year!!!
Definitely a nice truck. Good setup, and can very well go in the 10’s
S-10’s are light man. Definitely enough horsepower to break the 10’s and some good tuning. Clean ride man ‼️🙏🏽💪🏽

Yes it is working fine! I wanted it at the highest best spot and the power steering fluid flows very well.
She’s beautiful 😍
Thanks a lot John Doe! Have a look at my latest video if you like. Thanks for watching!
With an LS swap and without doing a lot of performance mods you DO NOT have to run 93 octane. A simple 5.3L/4L60E with a slightly mild cam and tuned property you can run whichever fuel you want, from 87-93. Beautiful truck and nice job. I am about to do one for my son with ac/heat.
Awesome info and I bet your sun is looking forward to having something bad ass! And thanks for the compliment on the truck. Check out my other content to see more recent engine and trans stuff. Thanks for watching!
@@Blitzkreger00 will do brother. Last S-10 I has was an '88 with a full cage, 9" w/4.56, ladder bars, coil overs, drag Powerglide, 3500 converter, 454 bored .030" over and made just under 750 to the wheels. On motor we were getting to an easy 9.80 on the street on full slicks. Truck weighed 2800lbs. Was scary fast and I traded it to a guy from Tennessee for an '83 Olds Cutlass Super Pro car.
I have that same 70050 fitech unit in a box in my garage….i couldnt figure out how to run boost when i added a LSA blower…….N/A they work great
I haven't had any trouble with mine (knock on wood). And that's strange you couldn't get it to work with the blower and good to know. I've been looking into an LSA blower and was going to use it. I know mine has the NO2 and Blower setting in it. But I also sent the handheld and ECU to fitech for then to check everything after a year's time and they updated everything for me. I appreciate you're view. Thanks for watching!
It doesn't matter what parts you use .if your happy with it then go with it. Your gonna have your haters out there. Doesn't matter what you use as long as it gets the job done. And in the long run you'll appreciate alot more.
Your right, haters and trolls will always find something to nit-pick about. I did what I wanted and it got the job done like you just mention. Thanks for watching!
Oh one thing for sure. Your not building up something to prove anything to anyone out there. That's why it's called a hobby. Sure there is always room for improvement on anything you do like this. It's done by trial and error. You learn things as you go. And it doesn't matter how far your into a build it it is completed. If I owned that truck I would drive it every damn day. I owe everything I learned from my late grandpa. "If it ain't broke , dont fix it". " Dont be afraid of it. Drive it how it was built to be driven". " a vehicle that you put your blood sweat and tears into never ever let it sit!" " Drive it!" I know times are tough these days with the world today and all, but you were able to bring something to this world that not only looks good performs most excellent and you can look at it and say damn I did a most excellent job. You have something to be proud of.
I have to ask: so where is the 4.3/4.4 at now?
@@JohnAdams-nb2ox Words of wisdom there. And I am very proud of myself and what I was able to accomplish on my first LS swap. The 4.3L is sitting at my brothers house. I'm looking at new prospects for that little engine now. A classic compact station wagon like a toyota corolla, datsun 510 or even a chevy chevette.
@@JohnAdams-nb2ox I will be getting it to my house very soon and going through it. I plan on still doing the work to it that I mentioned in one of my other videos but I'm going to change out the pistons from flat-tops to dish cause I want to run a turbo kit on it.
An that's a bad ass truck
Thanks my friend! Have a look at my other videos for it has gotten even better! Thanks again
Very nice build! I might have missed it if you mentioned in your vid, but what rear end is in the truck? Gears? I'm looking at building a 4.3 for my 91, basically the same as the previous motor you had in yours
Man I'm still rocking that 7.5 with a crappy gov loc and a 3.73. when she breaks I'll be repairing the 7.5 with some good parts. Truck is light and way less ring gear to turn with the 7.5 if you know what I mean. Did I mention it was lighter? Thanks for watching!
Nice build bro!! I’ve got a 93 that I’m gonna put a ls1 in it. What rearend are you running? Being on a budget like you I’m trying to do as much myself as I can. Thanks bro!!!!
I really appreciate that my friend! I'm running the stock 7.5" 10 bolt with a Posi gov loc and a 3.73 gear. I found a pre owned unit in eBay about three years ago for 300 bucks with the ring and pinion. Check out my more recent content and other videos on the LS Swap! I thank you for watching!
Great build Did you have to cut the front belly on the chassis to make the motor fit also are the headers they the steering long link
Thanks! No I didn’t have to do any cutting. Just slot of fitting with the LS Swap parts. Check out my other videos for more recent content. And thanks for watching!!!
Damn that’s nice I can’t make up my mind if I want this model s10 or a Malibu it’s not to flashy and I know it gets down when you get on it
Man I was doing a 1978 Malibu back in 2004 but someone offered me money for the rolling chassis I couldn't refuse. And I'm not the flashy type of you know what I mean. Give it just enough to where it's still kind of a sleeper.
Wonderful and clean s10. I got a question if you don't mind me asking, I'm planning on doing a ls swap in my s10 soon I'm just debating on which engine to choose such as a (5.7l LS1 or go straight to a 6.0l lq4?) Just so I don't mistake it in the end.
Thanks! I ended up buying an LS1 that is in this video. Ended up being bad so I yanked it back out and stroked the LS1 5.7 350ci to an LSX 6.2L 384ci. Check out my more recent content to see how it turned out! Thanks for watching!
@@Blitzkreger00 Appreciate it man, I'll definitely stay up to date on your content as it'll teach me how to work on my own engine and learn new things. I'll research about the LS1 5.7 350ci, and see which engine to choose from there! 👍
@@jordon756 Sounds like a plan. Good luck!
Sexy! I’m glad it’s coming together phenomenal
I appreciate it! It's looking good. I was actually going to go with the 295-50/15 rears but I couldn't pass up the bigger set.
What cam are you running? Nice truck. I'm fixing to get the same manifolds and mounts. Also did you get the new ac evaporator half for coil clearance? How was the clearance for the rear drivers side coil?
I ended up buying the hooker cover for 140.00 to get more coil clearance. I didn't change anything with the A/C. Just bought the ICT R4 compressor bracket for 250.00. And the camshaft was a comp custom grind with lunati retro fit lifters. I have rebuilt this motor since then. Thanks for watching and commenting! Check out my more recent videos for updated content.
What engine and frame mounts did you use? Did you use Holley for that as well? Thanks man super nice truck.
Yes I used the hooker mounts for the engine. I ended up pretty much using most the hooker S10 LS swap kit. Made thing a lot less complicated if you know what I mean. Thanks! And thanks for watching!
Oh, check out some of my older videos doing the swap. I have what I used there and links in the description for most of what was used to get it installed.
Damn you hit my fantasy meter when you said 20 mpg, if I behave myself I might be able to touch 10 mpg with my Sonoma.
🤣 Well sometimes you have to act right to get a few extra mpg LoL. I know I have with these high fuel prices. Thanks for watching!
@@Blitzkreger00 I guess I should be happy it was set up and dynoe'd on 89 octane. lol

I appreciate it! The brand is SPAL. Great product!

Didn't have to move the firewall? I'm in Cali and want to do similar and what trans did you go with was looking at pontiac gto 2002-2006 for the ls6 or if I can find a wrecked 6.0 ss trail blazer. This is for a 92 extended cab want to build it in memory of my grand pa
That would be cool to do for your Grandpa! I did not have to move the firewall. I just left the stock 4L60 transmission in original position and connected the LS to it because I wanted it to sit in the same spot as the V6. 2004 GTO came with the 5.7 LS1 and the 2005-2006 GTO came with the 6.0 LS2 and so did the SS Trailblazers. Thanks for watching and check out my other videos!
@@Blitzkreger00 thanks for the response awesome yeah kinda what I want to do grew up with him building a little red Datsun mini truck with a Toyota hemi 296 that was in mini trucking magazine he passed a year ago on the 4th of January 2021. He instilled the love for mini trucks in me when I was 7 im now 33.
@@Jihadbearzwithgunz cool buddy! Hope you can get something going for sure.
hey man where did you get your bracket for the AC? I like that set up...
Ict billet. They have a whole bunch of LS swap brackets along with other things. A little pricey but fitment was perfect. Thanks for watching!
I like how you didn’t notch the core support for the radiator to fit. Could you explain this process?
Thanks! Yes all I did was trim off the fan shroud but left where the radiator mounts to sit the bottom of the new radiator in. It fell right into the rubber mounts in the shroud. Then I made up one little bracket at the top kinda hid away. Between those two things and the radiator hoses being so short and tight it doesn't move. I will be making up a new top cover piece for a nicer look up top when I get time. I didn't want to cut anything cause I wanted the engine to look like a factory job if you know what I mean. Thank for watching and check out my more recent content!
@@murdyg7382 I was thinking of putting my discord channel in the link for questions about certain things with the build. I feel once you start chopping everything up it starts to look way more custom then factory. I have videos of the swap on progress. And thank you for subscribing!

🤣 Thanks my friend! I appreciate it. Check out my other videos to see updated content. Thanks for watching!
What size rims and tires are those? And the name of the wheels? Very nice!
Thanks! They are Centerline Terminator Telstars 15x4 fronts and 15x10 rears with a 5" rear spacing. I think a 5.25"5.50" rear spacing would be better.
Love this truck! What brand name is that electronic Guage thing on your dash? I want to get one for my truck.
Thanks my friend! I appreciate it. It's an Autogauge 5" 8,000 rpm tachometer. Check it my other videos and thanks for watching!
@Jeffery K I'm talking about that square Guage that gave you your temperature readings and voltage and looked like a few other things. Has a little push button pad on the right. All I can make out is atech and google doesn't show anything for that.
@@hottyscott100 ohhhhh that's my fitech hand held controller for my stand alone Fitech 70050-1 engine computer.
@Jeffery K oh man! That thing looks awesome! I'm trying to find a reader that would plug into the obd2 port that would do what that does on your truck. I've tried a couple from Amazon and ebay and they are junk. You really knocked it out of the park with your truck. Sounds killer too

Yes you can use your transmission. You would have to make up some sort of TV cable bracket like I did. When I was doing the LS swap I did update videos. One of the last couple of videos has that in it.
Does the ax make it run hotter or cooler
I just hope mine looks half as clean when done

Cowl hood will help with heat on a S10
Thanks for the advice. Yeah I kind of figured and I've been looking into a carbon fiber two and a half inch cowl induction hood. Thanks for watching!
What kind of brake buster you are using? Im planning to do mine to a 6.0l
It's a universal 7" hot rod booster. I had to make a plate to cover the stock booster mounting hole. And the universal linkage to custom fit the brake pedal. I got everything from summit racing I believe. Thanks for watching!
Oh and I do have videos of when I was putting the engine in. Kind of a little progress series lol

What exhaust manifolds are you running ?
The hooker retro fit exhaust manifolds with the hooker steering shaft. Super nice stuff!
What part of Louisiana u from I'm down here in lockport Louisiana
I am about two hours from you just north of New Orleans.
What brake booster did you use?
I used a 7” universal hot rod brake booster. I had to buy the linkage that worked with it and cut it to custom length so it’s set up like stock on the brake pedal side.
Where are you located in in Louisiana? I am about to ls swap my dad's s10. He would have thought it was so cool.
Just north of New Orleans. And very nice! Good luck with the swap my friend!
@@Blitzkreger00 bruh after getting caught up on your truck I'm second guessing the ls swap! Lol I might just have to get a small block!
@@devillenm5525 the LS swap turned out nice and is modern. But they make modern fuel injection for older style engines now. If your truck came with the 4.3L I'd roll small block all day. A 400ci S10 would be dope.
@@Blitzkreger00 yes sir. 4.3 4l60e 93 extended cab. It's a Yankee cause it was born and raised in Shreveport until about 11 years ago and it moved south with me. Lol but it was bought by my uncle from the original owner. Then my dad bought it then he gave it to me not long before he passed away. He always told me that he was going to convince me into putting a small block in it. Back then I was happy with the little 4.3. Lately I've been kind of obsessed with the idea of having a v8 in it. Nothing crazy. I just want like 300hp I like to drive it. Since 2005 it's only had about 30k miles put on it.
@@Blitzkreger00 honestly my dream swap is the lv3 4.3 that was based off of the direct injection l83 LT motors. That would be sick. And not over done.
What's spec's on truck
What Brake booster did you use?
Universal 7” hot rod booster.
I just got the one with the gm bolt pattern. I did have to make a plate to fill some of the original booster mounting whole. And buy the universal brake pedal linkage to make it work.
What headers did you use
Hooker exhaust manifolds for an S10 LS swap.
how did you wire the headlights up to keep them stock
The headlights and markers are still on the original wiring. I ran new wires to the fuse box accessory connector for the markers to come on with the key.
@@Blitzkreger00 preciate it
My pleasure!
What exhaust manifolds did you use?
I bought the hooker LS exhaust manifolds. I pretty much used the whole Hooker/Holley conversion swap kit all the way down to the A/C box
@Blitzkreger00 OK I bought some ebay s10 swap headers, come to find out from videos I've been watching they fit like garbage. I want to switch to the blackhearts
@@breezentheosescapades8769 some of those eBay headers have wrong descriptions. Those are universal C10, G-Body ect ect headers. And I am not a LS S10 headers swap fan. They are just plain ugly lol. I bought the hooker manifolds prepped them and painted them with bbq pit paint. They still look great!
Where's the cowl hood?
What offset are your wheels with width?
The rears are 5.00". I think 5.25" would be close but perfect.
Man, I'd say it weighs about 3000-3100 lbs.. if you get it to hook.. should be an 11 second daily.
I am so tempting to do an ls(6), not an ls1, real deal ls6 swap, you have 405 hp to start with. Add.a 125 kit, you have a 11 daily driver.. its just the cooling temps sitting in traffic with ac that has stopped me
It was being a real pain as far as the temps go. But once I added the good fans and three row radiator and took out the eBay fans it cooled down a lot.
@@Blitzkreger00 have you seen Current Performance's cooling system for these trucks? Pricey.. but suppose the be the ticket.
@@19jody72 no I sure haven't. If the current coolant system doesn't work with the new motor I will possibly look I to it.
@@Blitzkreger00 yeah man, those people are the LS swap gods for the s10's.
What's paint code or color
Hearing premium being only 3.30 a gallon😂 man I wish it was like that now still over $4 for me
LMAO! Yeah that's a thing of the past. V-power here is around 4.90 a gallon. Ahh the good old days. Thanks for watching!
If that tire store didn't change the valve stem and valve stem blowed out they would be by me another will you can Bank on that
Seriously. It really pissed me off for the simple fact that I just got them and they are super hard to find in that size and condition. Tried to explain that to them and they weren't hearing it. So I put the word out about them. I don't even know if they are in business anymore lol
What brake booster is that?
Check out this page from Summit Racing www.summitracing.com/parts/tff-2222na
The eBay booster I used in this video went bad so I ended up going with this chrome unit. You will have to buy the universal brake pedal shaft to make it fit correctly with your pedal distance.
@@Blitzkreger00 any mods to firewall? Stock master?
@@Chris-cu4ge actually I did have to make a little plate to cover some of the original master cylinder hole
how did you wire up the cluster?
As far as the transmission that wasn't really touched. I just ran adapters for use the stock sending units with the LS. I left the stock ECM in the truck so I could use the original cluster and fuel system wire. Everything in the dash works.
@@Blitzkreger00 I mistakenly already ripped all my wiring out and factory fuse blocks lol i'm going to try and figure out where everything goes and put it back thanks man!
@@ModernBeastx1 my pleasure! Man look, if you can find a haynes manual for your application they have wiring diagrams in it that may be able to help you just run wires to whatever gauges you want to use. And I ended up using a autometer temp sensor for my stock gauge this go round. More accurate reading than the stock sensor.
Wheel specs? Backspacing?
These particular wheels were centerline telstars 15x4" front 1.75" backspacing and 15x10" rears 5" backspacing with a 275/60/15. Thanks for watching!
Jeffery K, sound like you from south Louisiana
Can’t pinpoint it.

@@mildbill222 I'm from New Orleans. I live about 25 minutes from there.
I’m about 45 minutes west
@@mildbill222 I'll be working in tangi tomorrow lol
Who did the swap?
I did everything myself.
What wheels are those?
Centerline Telstars 15x4 fronts and 15x10 rears. They are from the mid 1990's.
@@Blitzkreger00 thanks for responding, I've been looking for an Era correct wheel for my 92 S-10.
@@gloucesterdavid No problem! Those were hot for sure. It has the weld pro stars on it now. Looks awesome. I have a video short with them. My July 4th vid. Have a look 😊
Man thing is bad what tire pressure is best on front runners
I like to keep around 40psi in the fronts and around 20psi in the rears for better traction. Thanks for watching!
