Whitewashing an Oak Desk | Refinishing an Allen Organ Top

I was able to harvest this oak piece from an Allen Organ which was previously used at the Church where I attend and work for the past ~25-30 years.
We had some intense flooding in the church and the folks at Allen Organ Co. told us the internal parts of the organ were toast. Before tossing it, management allowed me to harvest as much of the oak as I could and I thought the top of the organ would make a great desk.
