So this whole series is basically "what if Tom Hardy's Venom Symbiote latched onto Shinji Ikari?" That sounds a recipe for either a depressing comicbook thriller or a comedy gold mine!
Fun fact that isn't a spoiler because it was a cancelled game: Star Force 4 was planned to introduce Lan Hikari's descendant and he was going to be a hacker that Geo teamed up with while they were both on the run from the police.
@@codemonkey2980 Funnily enough, Star Froce 4 and Legends 3 are the only cancelled Megaman games I actually cared. Megaman Universe looked rather uninteresting to me. "Why are there cards of MegaMan if MegaMan hasn't shown up yet?" That's like asking why ElecSword in NT Warrior has MegaMan.exe on it BEFORE HE EVEN EXISTED in the first episode.
I always wondered just what the hell was the deal with that. Even as early as Battle Network 1. I am pretty sure you start with the Escape chip which does feature Megaman himself on its art. Despite the fact that by that time in the story, Lan and Megaman have done NONE of their crazy stunts! My best guess its that its just an oversight.
The love for Luna is super understandable given she is one of the absolute best written characters in the entire MegaMan series. I don't blame Star Force fans for instantly wanting to go ape shit anytime she shows up.
While I never normally do this, I must for the first time defend the game version differences. Although I may be biased because I simply love this game. For starters, and the most significant dif. for me, the drop rate of battle cards change from game to game. Pegasus is leaned towards effect cards, such as stun and freeze cards. Leo is leaned toward big one damage card, and gives you explosive damage as your charged shot. And Dragon is leaned towards DPS, giving you more cards like +10 and the rain one which I forgot the name. Therefore Pegasus is stronger for PVP and Dragon for normal battles, while Leo makes bosses a cake walk. Now, being fair, they are not that good a difference to justify there being three freaking games, but still there is more than just color palette (?
I hope you can continue the voice acting. It was pretty good. Also, in BN there are moments when the antagonist say screw it and attack Lan. Remember BN 2 Lan gets attacked and even trapped in a jigsaw like dungeon where people died. It can get real.
Oh this trilogy is such an underrated gem! For me it was a refreshing upgrade of the BN series. For once the main character isn''t helpless but someone who joins the fight (actualy all fights are more involved and physical rather than kids and grows-ass adults yelling orders at an obese smartphone while thge autorithies are helpless), compared to Lan, Geo's IQ is through the roof and Omega, while not being stupid, is more of a brute with the emotional intelligence Geo lacked to move on his grief. And good god is the storywritting MUCH more mature in this trilogy too! Dealing with grief, loss, PTSD, social media, mental disorder... it's almost like we are back at BN3! Plus I like how it's pretty much its own universe, but the connections to BN are just worldbuilding. You KNOW its the same world, but its not plot-relevant. But yea, the DX pattch is like what Pokemon Platinum is to Pearl/Diamond, the same but with a lot more added to make it better and more cohesive as well as joining the features of all alternate versions into a single one. the DX patch of SF2 is the same idea with also some fixing on what people complains abou it. SF3 is perfect and requires no fixing whatsoever (and both games actualy allow "version-exclusive" content to leak into each other, minus the final Noise forms).
Glad you are finally playing the Starforce games. The first game is pretty slow but trust me it's worth it to play the series up till Starforce 3 where it gets good. Starforce 2 can go die with its high encounter rate but at least it has the best OST out of the series. Especially the boss battle music is the best.
@@raymondchen6720 true. But the only thing stopping me from playing SF2 no cheats was because the side quests has a high link power requirement just to do side quests (not worth the backtrackkng effort and reward) and get weapons/prize from NPCs who evaluate your link power. Plus, Auto Brother doesn't give you high enough link power for these since it is based on your game's progression. Real brothers straight up give you 150 per brother if they clear all 6 stars which means you don't want Auto Brother at all. Worst offender of all, summoning object cards that does not time freeze (e.g. meteors, boo hat, puff blast and stealth lazer) have a cooldown imposed when you used them. I am quite disappointed since some of these cards are good but can't be used to full advantage since the cooldown prevents you from using another attack card immediately.
