I've spent weeks working on this trick, mostly the zero-G index rollover, and now that I come back to this video I really appreciate how accurate every detail you provide is. All the subtleties make sense to me now.
The hard part for me is the zen rollover you do at the end
@@dinoshartttthe zen is pretty easy, prob because I made my own combos with a zen ending pretty similarly before learning helix
50 blades of grey
You tutorial are at near the end of being perfect
It's like a race everyone is at the beginning of being good and you are already reaching the end.
Best balisong vids out there
The random life thank you for the kind words man. I just try to teach how I wanted the videos to be taught when I was learning
50 Blades of Grey I was just stating a fact about where u are :)
Hey I think you should upload a little bit more . I think you’re videos are really good
I've been saying this too. His videos are short and straight to the point unlike many others that drag on for like 15 making it seem more complicated than it actually is.
Kn1ght shadez yeah u are right
Kn1ght shadez thank you! I'm trying to work on my schedule but unfortunately life often gets in the way
Yes! Please make more tutorials!
Kn1ght shadez yes i agree
My balisong trainer is supposed to arrive later today and to pass the time I'm binging your videos. These are by far the best tutorials I've seen.
sbyrfang thank you! Hope it goes well for you 👊🏻
1:26 ayyyyy got you
Salatalık Adam I had to do it to em
👌👌👌
Her yerde türk görüyorum mk
got em
Mr Cucumber uno reverse card
That tip of keeping your index further from the pivot during index really saved me... I was so confused why it's been taking me weeks to master the helix when I mastered the behind the 8 ball within days, and that was after learning the helix!
I completed my first helix today!! :D :D Thanks to you and your tutorial!!!!! Im sooo hype
ma271 awesome to hear!!
I think I found the first consistent quality knife tutorial channel! Definitely going to sub before I inevitably lose it in my history.
Dragonia Gaming thank you very much!
Your balisong skills make you look like a real Batangas Balisong maker.
Raisin thank you 👊🏻
50 Blades of Grey do you buy these from websites? If yes can you please link them?
Raisin I've bought most of mine through a website called bladehq.com
Right at about 0:17 you can see that he hooks his index finger around the handle at the end of the index roll. This is super important as it sets up the zen rollover at the end, and it was the main aspect that was holding me back. After I started doing this, my helixes are so much more consistent and smooth.
Sam Chaney thank you so much. I couldn’t figure out what i was doing wrong
So, love the tutorial but is there any posibility you would do a tutorial on helix aireal?(its 1 in the morning so excuse my spelling)
Christian Turner hello, I would like to at some point but have no clear timeline. I'm currently working on a review video but thank you for the recommendation! Hope you can learn it in the meantime
Thank god I can finally pull off the helix thanks to this video. It took a while for me to figure it out but I have finally got it. Thanks!
chutcher01 awesome to hear man! It's a great trick to get down
Quality Tutorial as always ! :D
Kekz thank you!!

Anonymus Rex thank you! Hope it goes well for you! They're very fun tricks to know
I love this move! Do it so much because you can do it over and over!
Nicholas Baldwin it's a fun one, you can just repeat it until your hand can't do it anymore lol
I have this knife ! It's an amazing flipper. I love the blade shape. Was my first nice Bali
Oooo awesome a new balisong tutorial after a long time!✌✌✌
Herobrine YT too long and thank you!
50 Blades of Grey ✌✌✌
This is the best tutorial!!!!
I can do the helix now
Coper Reaper awesome! Glad it could help
Love the Barebones 2.0 I bought a OG Barebones probably in between the Killa Bee and last Replicant sales. Trying to get a Rep on the 2nd hand market. Keep up the video tutorials.
The 1 & only Frosty one thank you man, best of luck finding one if you haven't already!
@50BladesofGrey still looking for a Rep but I'm being patient with it cuz you know as soon as I find one on the after mrkt BRS will drop Abs and Reps. I enjoy my OG Barebones I have been thinking about trying to find a 2.0 or a trainer that someone might like to trade for other knives I have a good collection just not a whole lot of Bali's.
The 1 & only Frosty one I feel ya, from
what I can tell I doubt it will be more than 2 months before next release, they've done a few live streams about the scheduled release dates
Knife goes “Helicoptah Helicoptah”. Also, thanks for the tutorial i managed to do it.
Learned helix from this video a couple years ago! Thanks
Thanks for stopping by again and glad you were able to learn it
@@50bladesofgrey43 yes! Was only doing this trick for a long time and now I wanted to learn something new, surely from your channel!
Tanks for helping us to be better and better every day!
Theres something about your flipping style. Whenever you fling the handles it just looks sick af.
This dude is epic:D Hes really nice, and when I messed up on my reverse index rolls, he actually took some time out of his day to help me. Real nice youtuber!
Hey there, glad it worked out! Recognize you from the IG chat
LOL
What a classy blade.
meme machine agreed 😁
Very instructional and high quality video as aways, thanks dude. And, that's some beautiful knife design
Fred Alvim thank you very much!

New barebones looks sick!
Tom Fulop agreed! I enjoy the look of the tanto shape
Hey so I really like your videos and how you take time to breakdown what your doing in the videos
aaron peek thank you! As long as they’re helpful I’ll continue to make them this way
Finally a new tutorial Eric? And new knife I see.
Josh Veer indeed, well overdo! And yeah the v2 was very appealing especially since benchmade bumped their 51 price up to $275!!
Wicked blade
The tanto 2.0 bb looked already on instagram great!!!!!!!!!!!
Ur skills are SICK
Buk Csa thank you man!

And fingers crossed haha!
50 Blades of Grey hey m8 did that thief iammadlife credited you yet and watching ur vids made my balisong tricks more skilled just as always keep up the good work more love from the philippines and god bless you so your fingers dont get cut
ting perez haha thank you! Hope you stay safe flipping too! Sadly I don't think he did but I'll defiantly report him if he takes anymore of my videos uncredited
Barebones looking sharp as ever (literally)
Lil Jimmy feels sharp too lol
50 Blades of Grey At least this version of barebones doesn't mess up your hand while flipping.
Lil Jimmy yeah, I like that BRS listened to feedback and made the Barebones v2 more comfortable than the v1, like softening the zen pin stop
I love your videos and want to say and ask two things. One: I think you are the best UA-cam when it comes to balisongs and butterfly knives. And two what trainer knife do you recommend
Raymond Gibbons thank you very much for the kind words! As far as what I would recommend I think it depends on your budget and goes. For example the bbarfly is a solid trainer/ bottle opener type Balisong for about $30 and it actually flips decently, just makes a lot of noise
If you go up in price at about $225 you can get something like the BRS Barebones trainer which is a better flipper overall but ultimately a lot more money
0:11 It’s like your fingers are dancing with the blade, beautiful trick
I love your tutorials, they are very clear and brief I never get bored of them. And also Shortstop tutorial?
StraySheep Zhao thank you! And I would like to cover that trick at some point. Thank you for the suggestion
I love you vids and nice to see you up loading
The random life thank you man!
50 Blades of Grey hey I just love your vids hey can you try and do more vids maybe more advanced and combos
Hey that's only my opinion and love the new knife keep going you are great
The random life I do plan on doing more tutorials on tricks and combos. Currently I am developing a review video but after that I would like to do some more tutorials
I say again that knife is awesome!
I need to know where you get your knifes there so awesome! Love the video
jody pontiff thank you! I buy most of mine through bladehq.com
My favorire trick! Very nice tutorial my friend
He’s back!
nice barebone dude
Hi good job men but pls can u do a description of ur inventory or ur knives pls
Mathis Borne hello, I will at some point try to go back through my videos and at least list the name of the knife that was used. For future videos I would like to do a collection type review but I have no timeframe on that.
Hes Back! Glad you did this one!
Hi ! Can you please give me a link where did you bougth that balisong knife?
btw. Great videos, i learned so much thank you
Pavol Slamka thank you! I'm glad they could help. I bought this particular knife, the BRS Barebones v2, from Bladehq.com
I think you should make a tutorial on the scissor. Your tutorials are awesome!
Awesome video, tutorial and shooting
Genuinely been trying to learn this for ages, but the transition from the last rollover to open always confused me. Thanks man.
// same here! I spent hours before wondering what the heck was going wrong
after this trick, I got 3 more in the same day from your vids, much love.
My fingers are all good. Good tutorial!
Henry Busse thank you 👊🏻
Great vid that’s my next trick to learn
Anyone else accidentally ends up throwing it in the airwhen doing the zen rollover just to catch it and make it look even more awesome
Could you make a video on how to start connecting tricks? I feel like I’m learning lots of great individual tricks, but I don’t really know how to chain them together into combinations.
The TechnoLord hello, I would like to do a tutorial on something like that or combo advice at some point in the future, thank you for the recommendation
love your videos, keep it up!
Love that BB 2.0.
Wanted Flipping same!
Could you do a tutorial on the hellbent? This tutorial helped me learn this trick easily, so it would be greatly appreciated.
FEEL DANK INC. hello, I would like to at some point in the future but I don't not have a timeline for it. I'm currently working on a review video
Yo really appreciate the tutorials. Think you could do a tutorial on the giraffe having a tough time geting it down🦒
Ero Senin :0 I would really like to do a tutorial on that trick but I would probably do a standard scissor tutorial first
Thank you for the suggestion!
Yes
Learning this as a beginner
Thumbs up Mate!
out of thumbs didn't see previous tutorials....
my brain: i
got this
my hands: Wtf are you doing??!
like the new knife
restrivate thank you! I am liking it as well!
Nice work brother👍
It took me so long to realize that this trick ends with the bite handle, like a zen rollover. I was trying to roll it over my thumb and catch the safe handle 😂
Josh M technically you can have it land on either handle, I j just think it is easier to learn it the way I showed in the video
very thank YOU!
Keep doing this!
J4P1T0L3 thank you! I do plan to make more. I'm currently making a review video but will get back to tutorials in the future
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Double scissoring tutorial! I can't figure it out but your videos always help!
Butterfly Effect sadly I cannot double scissor either, still learning myself
If I figure it out I'll try to help but I doubt I can before you
Butterfly Effect I wouldn't be so sure of that lol
haha I'm pretty sure :)
Are you a travis scott fan? xD
Oh please, oh me, oh my, we been moving we been moving for sometime....
i cant believe one little positioning of my index finger for the second rollover made it so i couldnt consistently do this trick since i learned it.
yeah... i remember when is was learnig these tricks. i though i would never master it
Is it possible ?? :D
looking at it there is many ways of doing a y2k zen etc you do it by bending your index in most do it using 4 fingers some use 2 fingersr
Nice balisong
Sasuke Uchiha thank you!
Amazing how fast I can grab my balisong when I see a new upload of you. .-.
Wow
The sec roll is hard as heck
gracias bro !!
Hello I love your videos they are helpful for me! I actually have a old and bad knife and I'm not ready to buy a balisong like yours (~300$) :/
Do you know a cheaper balisong (arround 50 $) that you recommend?
Sry for my bad English I'm learning it I hop that you will understand my question. Thx ;)
L'ubris au lait de skiss hello and thank you! If money is limited I would recommend considering a bear and son 114 (mediocre but gets the job done) or to check out Squid Industries (good for the price but they're trainers)
Great, i just own a trainer csgo balisong and i learnt some tricks, i learned all tricks from your video for 5 begginer tricks, but i have a question. I learnt the helix not so much good and i complete it from time to time. What i shall do, learn the helix to perfect or continue with behind the 8 ball?
Hristiyan Benev hello, a little late here but glad you could learn those! Honestly the helix and behind the 8 ball require muscle memory to develop for them to get smoother, the more you try, the more likely you’ll get better at both
I had an easier time learning the behind the 8 ball when I started but others have an easier time with helix
I need the new barebones so bad it hurts.
Blade Kick it's a solid balisong, worth considering for any flipper
Oh nice
Its a barebone titanium ? (Live)
Nice video but i'm soooo bad for this trick
Nice Balisong
Nice v2
It's so easy after getting good at behind the 8 ball
i can do this yay
Im so jealous my barebones v2 is supposed to get here tomorrow
Greg Winslow hope you enjoy it!
Please make more videos
_ Shyxz I do plan to, hoping to have a review out fairly soon, a month max is the goal
Holy shit you still posting
OMG HIS HAND AT 0:17
Jack's Forehead RIP
so a Y2K, og chaplin, another Y2K and a wrist past
T R D J basically, this is just one of those combos that had a name stick before I even started so i didn’t mess with the name
1:20 GOTTEEEMM
tricks are easy to learn from you
Brian Le thank you! I'm glad that's the case!
