    I've spent weeks working on this trick, mostly the zero-G index rollover, and now that I come back to this video I really appreciate how accurate every detail you provide is. All the subtleties make sense to me now.

      The hard part for me is the zen rollover you do at the end

    • @AvgeekRPLL
      @AvgeekRPLL Рік тому

      @@dinoshartttthe zen is pretty easy, prob because I made my own combos with a zen ending pretty similarly before learning helix

    That tip of keeping your index further from the pivot during index really saved me... I was so confused why it's been taking me weeks to master the helix when I mastered the behind the 8 ball within days, and that was after learning the helix!

    Right at about 0:17 you can see that he hooks his index finger around the handle at the end of the index roll. This is super important as it sets up the zen rollover at the end, and it was the main aspect that was holding me back. After I started doing this, my helixes are so much more consistent and smooth.

    Hello ! I am french and want buy BRS premium alt replicant, how many dollars you buy ? And you have a knife good value/price (not more than 100 dollars please). And continuous !

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  6 років тому

      LePseudoChiant [LIVE] hello the Premium Replicant cost me $315 direct from bladehq.com.
      As far as recommendations go under $100 if you're okay with trainers Squid Industries has some solid options to look at. For live Blades the options are a bit less good at under $100 honestly but you could check out balisongs like the bear and son 114, it's alright for the price $30 but isn't super durable and the handles can crack if flipped over harder surfaces like concrete

    Great, i just own a trainer csgo balisong and i learnt some tricks, i learned all tricks from your video for 5 begginer tricks, but i have a question. I learnt the helix not so much good and i complete it from time to time. What i shall do, learn the helix to perfect or continue with behind the 8 ball?

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  6 років тому

      Hristiyan Benev hello, a little late here but glad you could learn those! Honestly the helix and behind the 8 ball require muscle memory to develop for them to get smoother, the more you try, the more likely you’ll get better at both
      I had an easier time learning the behind the 8 ball when I started but others have an easier time with helix

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  6 років тому

      Raymond Gibbons thank you very much for the kind words! As far as what I would recommend I think it depends on your budget and goes. For example the bbarfly is a solid trainer/ bottle opener type Balisong for about $30 and it actually flips decently, just makes a lot of noise
      If you go up in price at about $225 you can get something like the BRS Barebones trainer which is a better flipper overall but ultimately a lot more money

      Mathis Borne hello, I will at some point try to go back through my videos and at least list the name of the knife that was used. For future videos I would like to do a collection type review but I have no timeframe on that.

      50 Blades of Grey At least this version of barebones doesn't mess up your hand while flipping.

      Lil Jimmy yeah, I like that BRS listened to feedback and made the Barebones v2 more comfortable than the v1, like softening the zen pin stop

    looking at it there is many ways of doing a y2k zen etc you do it by bending your index in most do it using 4 fingers some use 2 fingersr

      Blade Kick it's a solid balisong, worth considering for any flipper

    Hello! I have a question:
    Do you think there is any chance I can start doing more complex tricks with a csgo knife (curved handes)? I feel like it's harder :p

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  6 років тому +1

      ZenTunE hello there, the answer is yes but you'll probably need to put more effort into than if it were a straight handle balisong, not impossible just harder

    • @ZenTunE-
      @ZenTunE- 6 років тому

      That's what I thought :) I'm getting a cheap straight handle balisong in a month so maybe it'll be a good upgrade

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  7 років тому

      the_rustydoornob first impressions are good. I don't think it will replace my preferred replicant but it flips good and offers a different feeling than what I'm used to it has a more neutral balance which makes it stand out from the rep and AB

    How many rollovers are in the helix everytime I do it feels like I'm doing more rollovers than you are

    • @50bladesofgrey43
      @50bladesofgrey43  6 років тому

      SlyCooper494 ._. There should be 2 thumb rollovers and 1 0G index rollover
      Thumb rollover -> 0G index rollover -> Thumb rollover
