I've spent weeks working on this trick, mostly the zero-G index rollover, and now that I come back to this video I really appreciate how accurate every detail you provide is. All the subtleties make sense to me now.
50 blades of grey You tutorial are at near the end of being perfect It's like a race everyone is at the beginning of being good and you are already reaching the end. Best balisong vids out there
That tip of keeping your index further from the pivot during index really saved me... I was so confused why it's been taking me weeks to master the helix when I mastered the behind the 8 ball within days, and that was after learning the helix!
I've been saying this too. His videos are short and straight to the point unlike many others that drag on for like 15 making it seem more complicated than it actually is.
Right at about 0:17 you can see that he hooks his index finger around the handle at the end of the index roll. This is super important as it sets up the zen rollover at the end, and it was the main aspect that was holding me back. After I started doing this, my helixes are so much more consistent and smooth.
Christian Turner hello, I would like to at some point but have no clear timeline. I'm currently working on a review video but thank you for the recommendation! Hope you can learn it in the meantime
@@50bladesofgrey43 yes! Was only doing this trick for a long time and now I wanted to learn something new, surely from your channel! Tanks for helping us to be better and better every day!
This dude is epic:D Hes really nice, and when I messed up on my reverse index rolls, he actually took some time out of his day to help me. Real nice youtuber!
Love the Barebones 2.0 I bought a OG Barebones probably in between the Killa Bee and last Replicant sales. Trying to get a Rep on the 2nd hand market. Keep up the video tutorials.
@50BladesofGrey still looking for a Rep but I'm being patient with it cuz you know as soon as I find one on the after mrkt BRS will drop Abs and Reps. I enjoy my OG Barebones I have been thinking about trying to find a 2.0 or a trainer that someone might like to trade for other knives I have a good collection just not a whole lot of Bali's.
The 1 & only Frosty one I feel ya, from what I can tell I doubt it will be more than 2 months before next release, they've done a few live streams about the scheduled release dates
Hello ! I am french and want buy BRS premium alt replicant, how many dollars you buy ? And you have a knife good value/price (not more than 100 dollars please). And continuous !
LePseudoChiant [LIVE] hello the Premium Replicant cost me $315 direct from bladehq.com. As far as recommendations go under $100 if you're okay with trainers Squid Industries has some solid options to look at. For live Blades the options are a bit less good at under $100 honestly but you could check out balisongs like the bear and son 114, it's alright for the price $30 but isn't super durable and the handles can crack if flipped over harder surfaces like concrete
Could you make a video on how to start connecting tricks? I feel like I’m learning lots of great individual tricks, but I don’t really know how to chain them together into combinations.
The TechnoLord hello, I would like to do a tutorial on something like that or combo advice at some point in the future, thank you for the recommendation
Great, i just own a trainer csgo balisong and i learnt some tricks, i learned all tricks from your video for 5 begginer tricks, but i have a question. I learnt the helix not so much good and i complete it from time to time. What i shall do, learn the helix to perfect or continue with behind the 8 ball?
Hristiyan Benev hello, a little late here but glad you could learn those! Honestly the helix and behind the 8 ball require muscle memory to develop for them to get smoother, the more you try, the more likely you’ll get better at both I had an easier time learning the behind the 8 ball when I started but others have an easier time with helix
50 Blades of Grey hey m8 did that thief iammadlife credited you yet and watching ur vids made my balisong tricks more skilled just as always keep up the good work more love from the philippines and god bless you so your fingers dont get cut
ting perez haha thank you! Hope you stay safe flipping too! Sadly I don't think he did but I'll defiantly report him if he takes anymore of my videos uncredited
Karsten Macpherson without seeing what's going on would say watch your finger placement. You will stall out of your finger is too close to the tang of the knife
50 Blades of Grey hey I just love your vids hey can you try and do more vids maybe more advanced and combos Hey that's only my opinion and love the new knife keep going you are great
The random life I do plan on doing more tutorials on tricks and combos. Currently I am developing a review video but after that I would like to do some more tutorials
I love your videos and want to say and ask two things. One: I think you are the best UA-cam when it comes to balisongs and butterfly knives. And two what trainer knife do you recommend
Raymond Gibbons thank you very much for the kind words! As far as what I would recommend I think it depends on your budget and goes. For example the bbarfly is a solid trainer/ bottle opener type Balisong for about $30 and it actually flips decently, just makes a lot of noise If you go up in price at about $225 you can get something like the BRS Barebones trainer which is a better flipper overall but ultimately a lot more money
Kanna Kamui the motion of turning your hand to the left slightly should be enough for it to begin the spin If it stalls it means your finger is too close to the tang of the knife
Whyyoutubeallowyoutochooselongnamelikethat Lol if you're ever having a lot of trouble you can always tape the blade with something like painter's tape and practice until you feel confident to take it off

L'ubris au lait de skiss hello and thank you! If money is limited I would recommend considering a bear and son 114 (mediocre but gets the job done) or to check out Squid Industries (good for the price but they're trainers)
Mathis Borne hello, I will at some point try to go back through my videos and at least list the name of the knife that was used. For future videos I would like to do a collection type review but I have no timeframe on that.
Hello! I have a question: Do you think there is any chance I can start doing more complex tricks with a csgo knife (curved handes)? I feel like it's harder :p

The hard part for me is the zen rollover you do at the end
@@dinoshartttthe zen is pretty easy, prob because I made my own combos with a zen ending pretty similarly before learning helix

The random life thank you for the kind words man. I just try to teach how I wanted the videos to be taught when I was learning
50 Blades of Grey I was just stating a fact about where u are :)
That tip of keeping your index further from the pivot during index really saved me... I was so confused why it's been taking me weeks to master the helix when I mastered the behind the 8 ball within days, and that was after learning the helix!

Barebones looking sharp as ever (literally)
Lil Jimmy feels sharp too lol
50 Blades of Grey At least this version of barebones doesn't mess up your hand while flipping.
Lil Jimmy yeah, I like that BRS listened to feedback and made the Barebones v2 more comfortable than the v1, like softening the zen pin stop
looking at it there is many ways of doing a y2k zen etc you do it by bending your index in most do it using 4 fingers some use 2 fingersr
I need the new barebones so bad it hurts.
Blade Kick it's a solid balisong, worth considering for any flipper
Thank you for this tutorial i have wanted to learn a helix PS. you were the only person that could learn me besind the 8ball😄

Do you think there is any chance I can start doing more complex tricks with a csgo knife (curved handes)? I feel like it's harder :p

That's what I thought :) I'm getting a cheap straight handle balisong in a month so maybe it'll be a good upgrade
Learning this as a beginner
love your videos, keep it up!

My fingers are all good. Good tutorial!
Henry Busse thank you 👊🏻
Do you think I should that knife I have the barebones but not that one
Tyler Straczek hello, not sure what're you're asking exactly
so how u liking the v2
the_rustydoornob first impressions are good. I don't think it will replace my preferred replicant but it flips good and offers a different feeling than what I'm used to it has a more neutral balance which makes it stand out from the rep and AB
Can you do a tutorial on the 👌🏻aerial you did on instagram. So you show the 👌🏻 while the knife is floating.
Puginator I think that would be more of joke one but I'd consider doing it for sure
Great vid that’s my next trick to learn
How many rollovers are in the helix everytime I do it feels like I'm doing more rollovers than you are
SlyCooper494 ._. There should be 2 thumb rollovers and 1 0G index rollover
Thumb rollover -> 0G index rollover -> Thumb rollover
Eric can you do a tutorial of 0g ladder?
ricky zfeng I would definitely consider it! I just need to figure out which version is the standard one lol
50 Blades of Grey hahah 👊Okay
where do you buy that knife?

Nice video but i'm soooo bad for this trick
i cant believe one little positioning of my index finger for the second rollover made it so i couldnt consistently do this trick since i learned it.
1:25 got me trippin that the blade on the left is actually the bite handle and not the blade
Keep doing this!
J4P1T0L3 thank you! I do plan to make more. I'm currently making a review video but will get back to tutorials in the future
I can't get through the zen rollover. 1:28
