First off, I love the tutorials! I want to add some feedback though: I like how each step is explained individually, but I think it would be even more helpful to show the trick done very slowly, step by step, then a bit faster, then a bit faster until it is shown full speed. Along these same lines, I think a demonstration of the trick at full speed followed by a slow mo (much like how big flips does it in his videos) would very helpful as well! Overall, I love the vids and can't wait to see more!
We appreciate the feedback Kelton! We'll definitely try implementing some of those ideas.
Slow motion of the regular speed (like big flips) very slowly then a bit faster until it is full speed
Just make the playback speed slower
I like how he has a different knife every video 👍
So mesmerized by the flipping clips, I can't believe how seamless it can be, very impressive! Can't wait to get one to try some of these out
I just learned how to do the chaplin and I've been hooked on the balisong. This is gonna be the next thing ima learn for sure.
“the only pre requisites are thumb roller, basic opening & wrist pass. now do a 0g thumb chaplin”
bro!
I've been waiting for this one, awesome!!!
That trick looks really cool !
love videos like these
that intro though was funny jelly was hyped
thank you so much I learned both perfectly
That‘s so helpful. Thank u very much❤️🤝🏼
I swear jelly is the 🐐
Like the tutorials and also I’ve been doing tricks with a Lego balisong
YOU GUYS LIKE BUTTERFLY KNIFES TO THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IV SEEN SOME ONE LIKE THEM LIKE ME
this.. this is beautiful.
Paper's combo tutorial getting popular
I have only had a balisong for 2 days and already learned how to do these tricks thanks to the amazing tutorials you guys make!
I just ordered one it arrives tomorrow! They make it look so fun.
you learned to do behind the 8 ball and helix in 2 days???? I absolutely doubt it
@@Ray-zd7mesome people have a lot of expirience in object manipulation. Its possible to learn in 2 days. I learned the 8 ball is like almost 3 days
@@Ray-zd7meI’m sorry to tell you but yeah, I just had a lot of free time over the weekend so I was able to do those tricks pretty quickly.
@@Ray-zd7me yea i just got mine a few days ago and have already got the hang of the behind the 8 ball my aim is to eventually do the octane tutorial they have on their channel
One thing that always amazes me about Jelly flipping is the form... he barely moves his arm... it's mostly all on the hands. Can you do a tutorial approaching that?
Cheers!
do ricochets like twirls or ladder tricks to improve finger strength
Helix is beatiful😍😍😍
I just got my order in very nice knife
I learned both them in about two hours thanks!
HOW TF
What I find funny about the title is these were the first two tricks that I actually taught myself. And here I am thinking that I need to learn more tricks to lol
feedback: these tutorials should be in your pov
they way you described the behind the 8ball parts as a thumb chaplin then a thumb rollover really made it click
Glad we could help!
And a 0g chaplin
Let's Go!!!
That closing you do at the very end is sick! Would love a dedicated closings video
He has a video for that close its called the figure 8 open and close and its my new fav way to open and close my balisong
I dont understand
me as well
@@memeiluvcats unnecessary rudeness
@PixelOnTop-tl6hc it's fine you can hate me if you want I hate my self and thank you ❤
You can watch it again 😅
Me to man
nice vid
Ok why does his opening and closing look better than anything I've ever done T-T
The thing I struggle with is the index roll. Mine can sometimes be a chaplin, but I found it easier if I have finger closer on the index roll.
I just bought a squiddy and this came exactly as I was searching for bt8b tutorials haha
Edit: Please make a chaplin tutorial, I haven’t been able to get it down
We have a Chaplin tutorial up!
Thank
I pretty much perfected everything in bt8b but I can’t do the finger Chaplin. Can I get help?
What is the close you are doing at the end of most of your combos? It looks like a figure 8?
thanks for the help. but i have one problem. i cant do this thumb chaplin, i catch it wrong all the time. idk how to progress.
can you add a move set list for the combo ideas?
Man he’s so good with the chaplins…
every tutorial I watch just makes me want a squid product more and more lol jelly makes every balisong he flips look amazing. I have trouble with having enough momentum to transition from the 0g chaplin to the thumb rollover. I can't wait to see what tutorials you're going to have next. Pristine Work!
Thank you so much! We have many more tutorials in the works. 😎 -Jelly
@@SquidIndustriesco Can't wait to see! No problem and thank you again for the amazing content!
I already know all these moves I just like watching jelly and SI content lol
i cant get the thumb chaplin to work, any tips on how to do that?
Learning this on my live bladed lucha
Good luck 😢
These were like m first tricks like I can do these but not smth like a Chaplin or aerial even
Best tutorial channel out there, just got my trainer bali 5 days ago, and I found that I executed the Helix before Behind the 8 Ball. Is Helix supposed to be easier?
For me helix is easier I can’t get the thumb Chaplin part right on the behind the 8 ball
Everywhere else the helix is y2k > index roll > zenrollover, but in this video it's index roll > zenrollover?
I am really struggling with the transition between the first two rollovers. The catch, the final rollover and the wrist pass come very naturally to me. The thumb Chaplin part as well. Do you have any tips with keeping the momentum going while performing behind the eightball?
This is what I am struggling with. I still will keep trying
If you guys would give some type of challenge to give away some training balisongs that would be amazing...thanks imma new flipper and subscriber.
for me doing chaplin is a lot harder than rollovers and i dont know why
when i do the chaplin it just throws itself after 4-5 spins
I just cant manage to get my thumb around the handly to do the rollover while doing the helix and its so annoying😩
still cant find out how to do the helix :( i always give up when doing this because its so overwhelming and hard :(
I’m a month in, and can do these two tricks… but 4:34, not quite a basic opener into the Helix. I don’t want to know how or what variant of basic opener that was… but how long you been doing this?
It’s like some kind of fanning maybe. Idk. I’ll circle back months or years from now and answer myself maybe
Gigachad
Please make chonker fan and z choker
yummyoysterboi 2 handed balisong tutorial next??
Kan u show how u do the thumb Chaplin???
i dont know how to do the index roll part
I really want to buy a squiddy B but my parents say its too expensive so is is worth it?
No
I cant do Behind the 8 ball because i dont understand how to do a thumb chapelin and i cant find a tutorial for how to do one anywhere. Im fine with the chapelin on my index finger but it just flies off everytime i try it on my thumb
same, its just so hard and plus theres no videos about it
It is not a thumb Chaplin
You can call it a y2k or a thumb roll
I tried to do the roll around and lobbed the knife at my face 🙁
I live in the UK and getting a trainer is impossible, I don't have the money to get a good trainer, so I'm stuck with £15 amazon knives that break after one roll-over ;(
can you guys please do one on the short stop too?
I'm pretty sure they did a TikTok about shortstop
@@jasonhofmann3967 We did, but our TikTok got banned :(
@@SquidIndustriesco What!!!! That's why I haven't seen any of y'all videos!!
Anyone know what the closing move at 3:56 is? I’ve tried to slow the video down but I can’t seem to get it.
That is called the figure 8 closing. SI now has a short on how to do it.
It is super confusing as I had just started, could you recommend any simple tricks to learn first?😅
Y2k and zen, double rollout, index rollover, and Chaplin
Hey I have a question, do you guys ship to sri lanka?
Yes we do!
you say rollovers are harder, i can do them fairly consistently cant for the life of me do the thumb chaplin at the start of the 8 ball, i can barely do chaplins as is haha
luvu
I didnt get it he do it too fats and he say something that 8 dont know and i watch it amd then he didnt even tell how to pass to anthor trick to combine to it so i kinda confuse
I think Ben Peterson own the what is up guys…
But that’s ok
I try to watch all your videos
Your very good and I’m learning from you.
I have a trainer lucha.. I live in Canada and the selection available here is not great
No one can "own" a set of words that's used extremely frequently.
Sorry D!@k caught in ceiling fan.. just kidding thank goodness for playback speed control... Ya herd me !

Definitely first
I think i found a new combo 8 behind the ball + helix +chaplin +full twirl + basic aireil or fan
balisong are banned in my country so i use lego lol ( sheesh moves)
Your tutorial of the helix is slightly different that other helix tutorials on youtube. Why is that??
2nd i think idk
edit: 100% nvm lol
Hey it me
WAIT.... THATS A DIFFERENT HELIX...
Can I have a free knife, it was worth a shot
Ik how to do helix but not behind the 8 ball 😂
Why do you talk out the top right corner of your mouth?
First
the thumb chaplin is not easy at all in the behind the 8 ball not for beginners at all
Bro went to fast
you didnt has a tricks by tricks combo you just said "combo idea" and let us watch you doing combo and doesnt know what the tricks is :|
r/ihadastroke
"just do a thumb roll over".... yeah and that is.... pls just show how to do all parts of the trick and no just "do x tick". it takes maybe a few mins
Check out our channel where you'll find an in-depth tutorial on the thumb rollover! 👍
Horrible video to learn from
Hm..I THINK I got the Behind the 8 Ball..
Here I am a year later. I just watched for the helix because I have finally learned to grab the handle a little further down the get consistent flow in the behind the 8 ball. After knowing that and having that down, I just learned the helix today in about 15 minutes. Not as smooth as the bt8b with it but I got it.
