xQc is absolutely right (in my opinion) about the diversity in the FGC, in comparison to other e-sports genres. It's all about accessibility. Racial groups with a lower average income will have less representation in PC only games, especially in the United States where PC bangs seem to be scarce. Consoles are always cheaper and easier to (initially) use hence why we see more diversity in the FGC. South Korea and China have a lot of money being put into e-sports and the infrastructure is there to support the scene, i.e. lots and lots of pc bangs (pc cafes) which makes gaming accessible to the majority of the population, potentially producing a lot more professional players (not necessarily to a higher standard but they could be), in comparison to other countries where you'd need to buy your own PC to even start playing.
Having gone to a fighting game tournament, they are legitimately hype af. I don't go to video game events, but that one time I did must say it was a lot of fun
the fighting game community is the most raw, authentic form of pure energy and emotion. None of it is scripted, and it's just a form of mental strength LMAO
Fighting game eSports got WWE personas in it huh lol I miss the good ole days of trash talking in between rounds. It really got the crowds into the rivalries
What i love about fighting games is that you can be rivals in the game and still be friends out the game. When youve fought someone for so long (ive been playing since street fighter 2) you can really go all out and talk trash to your friends when you are winning and they have no choice but to take it because they lost. But its the same for me when i lose, i have to take all the trash talk and humiliaton they throw ad me, and i cant say anything because i lost. this only motivates me to go be better at the game and keep learning so i can fuck them up next time. And so we go on and on hahahahahaha
"I notice the FGC is much more diverse." Most fighting games are a one-vs-one experience. You can't use politics, majority groups, or arbitrary qualifying rules to keep whole groups of people out of the community. If you lose versus your opponent in a fighting game, it's your own fault, and no one elses. Also, the FGC as a whole loves its rivalries, and takes after the showmanship of American wrestling like the WWE. If you want to convince yourself that you can use facts & logic to overcome the competition, show it in the game, or be put to shame. It's not uncommon to be put to shame in the FGC.
Yeah pretty much, there's way less politics and is more accessible for anyone willing to make the flight as opposed to shooters where you first need to network for teams/sponsors. In fgc, if you have a controller, and can pay for the flight then you can challenge anyone and prove you're hot shit. It's not that simple for say, something like overwatch.

I'm so glad he finished that thought.
It really is "arcades are in cities" or specifically "in a wider amount of communal areas"
The sequel to greatest video on UA-cam
Having gone to a fighting game tournament, they are legitimately hype af. I don't go to video game events, but that one time I did must say it was a lot of fun
I'd rather fight a pro boxer than people from the fighting game community, they scare me
the fighting game community is the most raw, authentic form of pure energy and emotion. None of it is scripted, and it's just a form of mental strength LMAO
FGC is literaly the oldest and the most underrated gaming community
Should have shown the Pokchop vs Real Law in tekken tag 2, that shit was funny too
is that the "im making a combo video"?
@@maximilianovilches8042 I think, and pokchop also said "tiger knee this *****"
Fighting game eSports got WWE personas in it huh lol I miss the good ole days of trash talking in between rounds.
"I notice the FGC is much more diverse."
Most fighting games are a one-vs-one experience.
@@NotNowBiri This. Open bracket tournaments are a staple of the FGC, would hate to see those go once companies like Riot get involved. Anyone should be able to compete as long as they sign up.
Punk reaching out and laughing at 12:38 is killing me
i think he laugh since he saw tokido overly extending his hand knowing infexious wouldn't high five back and also punk is a fan of tokido and has a high respect on him.
Y'all if you are interested in playing fighting games go pick one up! Shits are contagiously fun especially with friends.
When fighting game players get heated is the fucking best
In 13:45, that was a hostess at the venue. Sadly I think that was the last straw that got the FGC or I think smash events being banned in that location.
everytime xqc reacts to melee i am reminded of the fact that he and leffen are the same person. god bless
1:38 yup
16:02 OOOOO FILIPINO VS KBR ON THE WINTER BRAWL AAAHAHAH. Man watching Jm’s vid really paid off.
16:20 marvel 3 bro tf you on??
18:16 oh hey he enjoyed it. Cool
They’ve never heard of humility😂
1:27, "I -no, I - , I noticed that -tha-tha-that efeameinty"
i think any gaming community that is more around console gaming is going to be more diverse
i never really met a lot of black people playing 1.6 or source but there were a ton on halo 2
BM in Fighting Game community is on different lvl...its funny and really enjoyed watching the video. glad he reacting to this
16:45 the way dude just shook his hand after all that was ice cold, unironically alpha as fuck
If someone got in my face cause they beat me in a video game I would throw some hands
I'd take the fighting game community over any other gaming community. Except for Smash Bros players. They can take a hike...and a shower.
hahaha I love when xQc tried to make a take on thbe demographic of the fighting community PepeLaugh. I knew where he was going where he said
"it's nothing negative"
At 4:14 I put captions on and it didn’t even try to subtitle what Jean Paul said.
That backpack hypeman made every clip 500x better 5:26 8:48
Mvc3 is the best one to watch. The history and rivalries are so funny and hype lol
Love how there's not a single clip of DOA, dead game lol.
