35:20 - well .. s4 didnt shine... it was all about ana insane carry skills and insane jerax supporting skills.... jerax is probably the best support of in dota history, everyone knew it.. everyone feared it... Earth Spirit hero was literally nerfed to the ground because of that one player.... once he retired dota, the hero was buffed up multiple patches and made noob friendlier , so its now playable for noobs even :D
01:08:37 The first guy shaking Notail's hand is Crit. Remember he played for OG in the first roster. That's why he was so salty. During TI Notail was interviewed backstage while walking and Crit was walking past and bumped him in the shoulder without even turning his head. This is why in True Sight the coach gives a shoulder massage to Notail asking him "is this the one?".
Damnnn…thanks for the info
Oh I didn't realize that till now. So that happened right before the grand finals and after EG lost to PSG LGD.
"All six of them"... that line brings a tear to my eye every time.
Where is it on this video?
@@TheSurvivorH 1:30:05
And who is the 6th man ?
@@fazilismail1085 4 teammates, coach and manager.
@@krissam7791 tq for enlighten me
To fully understand why Fly leaving was such a devastating betrayal, you need to understand that these guys played together not just since TI2 in 2012, but since the emergence of the competitive scene in Heroes of Newerth, in 2009. They won DreamHack Winter 2011 with their HoN roster and switched to DotA the following year. These guys had been best friends for almost a decade, and Fly left out of the blue with no warning, after conspiring with another team to make sure they had somewhere to go after departing. Not airing his grievances and trying to solve them or build the team back up, but doing it in this underhanded way after being together for such a long time.
well it stil traitor lol israel ppl so red flag, the last reason is he say OG dont have any chance tu win in infront podcast? fking jews
That blink, call, blade mail on Axe was the turning point of game 4. Was so cool to hear Seb calmly say "this is my game bois" to his team 5 minutes before making that game-changing play. I watched this whole series live, calling in sick to work for 3 days straight, and absolutely lost my s*** when they won haha. This video brings back great memories.
This happened almost 2 years ago, man. But, I'm still getting hype. I remember watching this live and I went to work the next day without sleep, and I did not even get sleepy at work. This for me literally is the most hype series in Dota 2 history.
agreed bro.
I was spamming the flower so hard.
it was summer and I watched all the TI Main Stage till Finals while eating Nacho chips
In 2013 I went from subway to the ground and was late an hour to the job just to watch Game 5 on my iPad in the best quality possible, was worth it.
Lol, "Who is this guy? Does he play." Yeah, that's just Purge. Biggest teacher in DotA2... just that guy...
yeah purge is nothing but "just a player". For the longest time he did both Dota and Dota 2 player guides for the official Dota site.
I decided that I had to get to ti8 since it was on Canada that year. I figured that was my only chance to experience TI and boy was it worth it. BEST TI OF ALL TIME!
i know its late but hows the crowd when notail shake fly, jerax echo slam, and ceb axe call moment
59:18 "I didn't realize it was 2 ex members"
Actually it's three. Fly, S4 and Crit.
"Let's go win some majors." - Ana to N0tail
You mean TIs right? #dreamOG
1:04:10 I know this video is years old and I'm just here for nostalgia, but in case someone still reads this:
One of the biggest reasons for games to turn around (besides from the obvious things like throws or insane/lucky plays or standard magic burst falloff in lategame) is the concept of spikes. There are item and level spikes in Dota for each hero an each hero's spikes can be at different times/levels.
One obvious one is of course level 6 where heroes get their ultimate abilities. Another pretty obvious one is when initiators get their blink dagger. You can initiate without being scouted (usually with smoke which hides you from wards) with an ability that e.g. stuns/disables most of the enemy team at once like Tide's ulti, Enigma's ulti or Magnus' ulti. These can result in huge turnarounds.
Other item spikes could be something like a BKB on a carry or a hero that has channeling abilities so he can't be disabled from dealing damage. Other level spikes could be something like level 15 on IO during TI9 times when he got his damage dealing talent.
Then there's the "timing" issue and strategies. If you draft for a split push strategy with e.g. Natures Prophet, you have to end the game before the enemy team has items that allow them to quickly dispose of the split pusher (e.g. boots of travel + blink + hex). Or if you follow an early push strat usually with heroes that all spike in the level 6 range, you have to "deathball" at that time or you will also lose. So for example, if your team has an early-game focused strat and doesn't manage to win the game before the enemy team (which might be focused on a late-game focused strat) hits their critical mass, you will probably lose despite being ahead but not behing ahead enough.
And of course there's the hero synergies and the billions upon billions of possible hero combinations and when their synergies can hit spikes. Add to that billions of item combinations and you begin to grasp why this can happen.
5:13 a tear almost dropped from my eyes. Damn we all felt that at least once.
1:02:05 to answer your question. sumail really close to fear, he wins TI5 with fear, sumail respect him alot because fear was the one who scouted him and ask him to join EG at the time. and thats why he put "fear" in the end of his nickname
Ana left on his own terms, Notail and Ceb wanted him to stay and he was like best friends with Jerax, and still is ofc.
The EG OG handshake notail stare was used in ti9 by OG as a flag you could put down :) made ti9 that much funnier when OG v EG
That tourny is just OG pub stomp
1:04:30 exactly why i love dota. Would you watch an hour of fight when you already know that there is no chance for the other team pulling through. Its exactly because you can make a come back in dota that its sp fun. I know there are these power spikes in league where the first team to reach that spile have so much advantage. Exactly the reason why i didnt play league as much as dota and eventually dropping it.
hand warmer on esports stage is very common, because of the air conditioner and the adenine rush make your hands cold, hand warmer relax the blood vessel to avoid the hand being stiff
1:01:56 sumail pays homage to Fear, one of the most storied dota player.
Dota 2 longest game on pro tournament was 3 hours casted by ODpixel and Purge which both of them are in this video as well.
That guy is Purge. He is one of the most respected guys on the scene and an amazing analyst.
no one predicts and understands the game like purge when he is in the analyst panel
@@saintupid7034 yea! I have seen him break down damage calculation in game code form in some video holy hell!
No dude, purge is just trash
@@tezar2 yeah, getting purged while in a teamfight is annoying
@@tezar2 okay mr.analyst hope ill see you in TI next year
1:16:00 I just realize yes Fly said good luck to LGD not to OG..
Dangg, he's mad broo... 😂
There was a little more drama than that. Not only had Fly left N0tail, his girlfriend had also left him during the same time for Karrigan (the CSGO player). After winning the TI N0tail also posted a song on his twitter, the '83 funk song Somebody Else's Guy by Jocelyn Brown.
55:17 that's Pajkatt, he actually got the first rampage ever in a Dota 2 competitive game at TI1.
and also the first one to beat openAI in a 1v1 sf match
@@Vladimir5024 Oh yeah, iirc he was the only one to beat it before it was revealed in the Dendi showmatch.
I'm in tears man...great job love from PAKISTAN
"Who are these casters. Do they even play the game"
Random dude that has LITERALLY ZERO knowledge of dota 2 says that the actual PLAYERS should win.
jaja izi bobo
And by the way, all of the casters are good Dota players. May not be very high ranking but they are good players with great game knowledge.
Being a caster requires talent also dude. Remember when n0tail said that chalice would make a good caster cause his reasoning is on point.
Ana left OG after 2016 on his own accord because he said that he couldn't deal with the pressure that people put on him. And he wanted to kinda just relax and get on with his life. OG didn't kick him out, he left.
maaannn... its gonna be really good history for esport.
Orange esports is one of the pioneers of SEA dota .
They play with heart, PSG LGD is the definition of machine perfection, cold calculater precision but they dont seem enjoy the game and under stressed a lot, meanwhile OG Notail let his friend use the heroes they wanted and just enjoyed the game. I think these common scene on esport now, pro player seems less enjoying the game because the stress and what expected of them. OG show in then its about enjoying game you like with people who care and trusted you
Thankyou for showing us how people gonna react even knowing not much of dota 2 🥺
dude thx for watching this, i have watched this video like 10 times and still watching it every time i can, TY
If you think about how many movies make stories like this only to be a story and these guys have the same story but its all real. Its amazing!
This is the biggest esports Cinderalla Story. I remember watching this entire tournament live and it was such huge hype. Especially since almost all of OGs games after the groupstage went the whole way including many comebacks. Best TI by far and made me become a fan of OG for sure. Especially since I remember Notail and Fly coming over from HoN (together with Era and Trixi). They were kinda laughed at and not that successful for quite a while.
Make a series about road to ancient I wanna see u going to the ranks really love to see that
It's been 2 years; I still cry as hard as I did when they won back then.
u should watch The Boston Major Grand Final: OG vs Ad Finem Game 3 it is one the best matches ever
That game will be forever underrated. The context its all. OG was already one of the biggest team by that time, Ad Finem was no more than some random tier 2 team that was expected to dissapear after the major, somehow the ultimate underdog managed its way to the finals. Winning the crowd on the way with theirs antimeta approach to the game, infinite hero pool and maybe the best and funniest to watch pos 4. Also, they were asked how they wanted to be cheered, they said "like Spartans, au! au ! au!" And so it was. Awesome game.
i watched that too. Definitely hidden gem. One of the best game ever in dota2 history.
Ay been waiting for this! Great reaction :)
you just miss what topson said after beating EG on game 1.. "just let my game do the talking"
POV: you tried to close banner ad and paused the video.
1:04:00 In league the heroes are so simple so there is less mistakes made so when a team is ahead they are 100% sure to win, in Dota 2 the heroes are so complex so there are more mistakes made and when the team ahead makes those mistakes they lose the game. The comeback mechanic of dota 2 is really good thats why we see these people who get their bases destroyed and have 20k+ gold deficit win the game and that comeback mechanic makes the games interesting to watch because you never really know who will win until they do.
Rofl "dota complex"
Also dead game terally played by mickeymouse players with mickeymouse regions
@@j4240 tell me you don't play dota without telling me you don't play dota.
in dota they implemented in the past years alot of updates that make comebacks more possible like u get alot more exp then in probably any other moba if u kill highlvl hero, u have 4 bounty runes every couple minutes so one good fight and taking them is a huge gold swing. The new killstreaks that give huge amounts like there were games ti9 someone had like 6 kills and then got killed 1 time by an enemy and that enemy jumped his level just by that. I really like it tough
The play from behind aspect of Dota2 really varies for each patch.
38:56 there's this one guy in EG 16 yrs old won the TI5 with fear one of the best midlaners of all time.
Fly's Dad invented Krav Maga the martial art of the israeli army. I dont think he was doing random poses
betlog1 etirts just looked odd to me, but also idk anything about fighting lol
He didn't invented but, he's one who spread Krav Magá in the world.
Krav maga is way older than that😂
You know who in the worse position of all this drama? The_Evany. She the manager of OG who in relationship with Fly. Gosh, had to maintain those professional facade yo
dota 2 player while playing is to calm but lol players crazy insane
thats why they can never be good in dota
Lol 😂 is nothing compared to dota in mechanics and skills
you cant be emotional in dota who ever breaks loses its a sick mental game
something about a league player trying to make big brain comments about the best players' playstyle is very annoying
He actually looked stupid as he keeps on reacting to things he obviously does have a little knowledge about. Was annoyed and laughing at the same time while watching this lollllll
most announcers/background voices are casters/experts from dota that are usually in the panel area/Casting boot for TI all of them play dota, some of them have even been to TI. Theres i think 2 of them which are just well known sport psychological people
Yea, the main difference that can be felt between the two games are that when behind, league has limited chances for comebacks as compared to dota
oh man, I liked Dota a lot before the skill tree patch. We did lan parties with my friends every weekend, I really miss those times
dota has a ton of tournaments apart from the ~8 pro tournaments a year there are about as much tier 2,3 and 4 tournies+theres a ton of local tournies in big citys (i mean not as much right now w/ covid but in general)
There's one type of play style I would say is around 15 minute finish: Death ball. Straight up heroes with lots of units, pushing potential, owning from the very first minute... But it could go wrong if that plan doesnt work
comebacks don't exist in LoL so this is mind blowing to him.
I played both of them and LoL is the more difficult to comeback since enemy is OP when they are well farmed also the dragon attributes makes it more unbalances
@Emmanuel Real not really sometimes your team can have comeback victory at dota 1
It's so funny reading LoL players are like League is more difficult and blah blah blah. I've played both HoN League and dota 2 And Dota is so much more complex than League
League doesn't have a steep learning curve like Dota2 has. Like the fact that you constantly have to check both the enemy creeps and your own creeps health to deny and get last hits really determines whether you win your lane or lose it. Don't get me wrong tho league is still a skill based game and all that but i just feel like the skill ceiling in Dota2 is so much higher
Watch the highlight of the game 3 of semifinals and how they won
the guy who doesnt even look in OG vs EG match was Crit a former EG player too.
basically its 3 former OG member on the EG that time
U must watch the art of combat : mega creep comback EG vs Ehome TI6. That game is the best game of TI ever
I disagree man...og vs lgd is the best game ever
Og vs tnc greatest upset in dota 2 history.
No man, OG's story is the most amazing thing ever happened in esports
The other commentstor you were asking is called purge he makes dota 2 guides and videos since the beta . He is famous for his patch analysis. Videos of 8 hours . Check some of his gameplay videos
Not since the beta he is the first player to ever make a video guide about DotA, basically since DotA 1 days, that's how he started as an analyst the very first analyst of DotA is Purge. If you are around since DotA day's then you would've known about back then.
@@godsoffice5714 I miss his weatherman segments :(
1:22:15 , Enchantress is right clicking ceb's axe, He has an item (blade mail) that reflects the damage you do back on yourself for a little bit of time .. and as she does more damage the further she is it hurts :) hope that helps
I think he meant how did the call affect Ench as well because normally Berserker's call doesn't reach that far. The 25 talent.
1:22:25 At this point everyone was max leveled. Axe has a talent that increases the range for his Call ability.
oo
I followed Fnatic MSI since their HoN days around 2009 (maybe 2010, my memory is hazy) , pretty much the unbeatable team. 2013 they transitioned to DotA 2 (HoN pro scene starts to show signs of dying, the grass is looking greener on DotA 2 scene) 2014 drama happened, Fnatic supposedly wanted to replace Era with Xcalibur for TI 4 but disputes happens, the team are forced to stick together or get disqualified by Valve.
Trivia1: Era was the youngest competitive player and champion in HoN.
Trivia 2: Orange Malaysia only lasted for one year - 2013, 2nd runner up during TI3, they lost the game due to a grave mistake -accidentally Aegis deny by kyxy. The star mid player Mushi got poached to join China Team DK, the favorites to win TI 4 but due to strategy leak they ended up as the 3rd runner up of TI 4.
Trivia 3: TnC was known as the new SEA (pretty sure it is full Philippines line up) that slain multiple pro teams during TI 4/5.
Nice reaction, i enjoyed
s4ternative make sure to sub for more and follow on twitch, I party with viewers often
Little did they know, OG was about to win 2 TIs back-to-back! It's like someone was just waiting for Fly and s4 to leave OG.
Dude said it best you can buy individual skills in sports but you can't buy chemistry, beautifully said.
Yep! Fear is the one living legend in dota 2
kills are a turning point in mid-late matches since the bounty you get from kills gets higher when you're farmed
During this time, if you get direct invite, that means you won a major or your DPC was enough for you to qualify.
the reason that one team is winning then all of a sudden can start losing, is because DOTA 2 has a " come back " mechanic built into the game. Its specifically designed if you can kill the main core with the kill streaks etc, it rewards greater gold and XP when you kill them. They kill you for 300gold, but when you end their streak and get the kill, you get 1,800gold for example back. That injection of gold and XP swings the game back.
6 out of 9 internationals took place in Seattle
Well Valve's headquarters is just in the next city over.
love your dota 2 content bro so much

Of course they meant Boston as in Boston, just like Manila Major was in Manila, Shanghai Major was in Shanghai and so on..
It would be really strange to have Boston Major in Sweden, or the Shanghai Major in Lithuania, you know..:P
"Dota is definitely a late game kind of game", it's 36 minutes into the game which is mid game, late game hasn't even started yet.
You have much to learn, young Padawan.
you should watch the escore "the story of" each individual player of OG. to understand the drama.
he had bm(blade Mill) its an item that does damage return to enemies
Dude the US is where the TI was held for 2 or 3 consecutive years (Seattle).
But yeah this is actually Boston. I was gonna go there coz i lived there. but tickets ran out
TI 1 - Cologne
TI 2 thru TI 7 - Seattle
TI 8 - Vancouver
TI 9 - Shanghai
Greg Marchand thanks i honestly forgot myself how long it was held in seattle

so each of player had their own game kit (like mouse, keyboard and headset((if you can use your own headset)), before they play they will just store em to valve, when they play it just setted at the stage, and after that some people from valve will pick it up for them
I just saw this and it's a good reaction video.
Great video but disrespecting my man Purge and Sheever, one of the most seasoned casters - uh uh nononono
Damn. I'm still hype in this.
Some casters are former pro players and some are just fans who have been in the scene probably longer than most pro player
The idea of dota is that there is always a possibility to win, (most cases), is designed that way, if you are behind, you win more gold and xp from hero kills.
Dota 2 is basically of the same concept like 'capture the flag'. You reach the flag (ancient) and grab (destroy) it = you win.
Blink dagger. The number 1 surprised item in dota
He reached enchantress cause of the last talent that is more aoe in the berserkers call
The gyro game u r talking about was ti9.. and this documentary is of ti8.. they won back to back tis. 11.5 and 15 mil
Lol imagine decades from now they make this into a movie like thr remember the titans or other sports underdog story that goes through adversity lol truly crazy what happened.
TIME STAMP @ 1:04:27 Talking about the lead.
Actually that's the best thing about Dota 2. there will always be room for comebacks.
That's mainly why I went back to Dota 2 when it came out. LoL was too EASY for me.
It felt like a kids game for moba.

34:52 "I think it's weird they're not mentioning the guy who won an International"
S4 was the best mid in the world and won the 1st two 1v1 competitions they had. The only two he was in.
S4 rarely talks. He only talks to people who have won an international.
thank u for reacting to this bro. : )
Every reaction I've seen to this video including my own initial reaction: "did this goofball just say capture the flag?"
FYI the longest dota 2 competitive game is 3 hours 20 minutes and 34 seconds
direct invites are actually win a mayor or be in a high enough yearly rating (from other tournies) i don't think there are like home team spots or sth like that.
Ti9 was a cakewalk compared to Ti8. LGD-PSD as they were in TI8 would easily crushed it any other year.
1:19:58 "who is this guy??? does he even play??"
that "guy" is purge. he doesnt coach games for nothing, he is really skilled
34:58 True hahahaha but i think if s4 played the same role he played when he won a ti he would be the star of the team. I remember ana was not around he played leshrac mid during that time with OG. He smashed everyone in his way. Destroyed his opponent in mid as well
Rubickkkk thats my boy!
Finals games ending in 15mins? That's a bummer.
+100 Berserker's Call AOE Talent at 25 :)
1:04:40 that's because Dota 2 comeback mechanics is soooo different from League. There's actually a lot of ways to comeback in a game of Dota 2 compared to League.
Ana was just like: imma just sleep and go back to stomp them later
