I wanna thank Evil Geniuses for this, without them becoming the villains in this tale, OG would've never become the true heroic legendary saviours of Esports-Dota. All the people involved in this story are inspiring in a way
My favorite moment is when Ceb snaps him out of it after the win against EG. I’ve felt that kind of anger and while it does drive you, it’s such a draining feeling. What a great friend to immediately recognize this and make sure he can smile and enjoy his victory rather than seep in his anger.
Probably a lot of people watched it on redbull's website instead of youtube, since it got shared through reddit a few days prior to the youtube upload.
Part of the reason is because we have seen a smiliar video from the score esport channel about OG's miracle win at TI8. But boy, this video was satisfying to the core of my heart
Actually Sumail wrecked OG's lineup in that series. His 32 kills against OG with Tiny are the most kills recorded in a professional game. Sumail is the best individual in the game but OG is the "BEST TEAM" in the game!
Man with how sports/esports are franchised nowadays this has to be the greatest competitive underdog story of our generation. I have never played DOTA2 and I barely understand it but I still come back to watch again every few months. Such an amazing story and I couldnt be happier for the team.

1:19:13 Pause and watch where Ceb is looking. He's not looking at the aegis, or out to the crowd, or up to the sky like everybody else. Before throwing his hands in the air to celebrate, he takes a moment to glance over at Johan. Despite having just won TI after years of retirement, despite becoming a millionaire overnight, despite his own undeniable glory, his friend and teammate is still the first thing on his mind. People don't give Ceb enough credit, you can tell from the way he speaks, that unlike a certain somebody, his own glory never came ahead of what the team needed. Whether it'd be player or coach, he wanted OG to win more than anything else. Truly a beautiful french man. It's funny to think that after all this time, and Fly leaving OG in the worst way possible, n0tail would find someone endlessly more deserving of calling himself a teammate and friend, in a washed up french coach.
@Jerome Carreon Came back to watch this masterpiece of a production again after 8 months, completely forgetting I made this comment lol First paragraph might be me reading too much into it, but I stand by that second paragraph. Watch Thorins' interviews with the guy. Also what's this about a girlfriend, did my guy cuck somebody? Not too involved in the dota scene anymore (fgc for life), so I wouldn't know.
@@oralevato7848 , agree with everything you said. Nevermind the 'clever' comments coming from others. Its youtube.....easy to be an anonymous jerk here. Fly acted foolishly, and I do feel that he was adversely influenced by Cr1t. That guy has a lousy attitude, he was openly hostile with his shoulder bumps, refusing to look OG players in the eye during handshake, etc. Why bring hostility to the thing? That was 100% Cr1t. Fly just looked like a guy with regrets. Well deserved regrets. But the whole story hasn't been told, my suspicions about Cr1t have not yet been validated. He sure isn't a charmer in any way. Notail is much better off surrounding himself with good, decent people. He and Ceb created the dream team.
I watch these videos more than I do movies and tv shows. You can’t beat a real life story like this. Bonds, Betrayal, Redemption and Heart. Great work capturing this RedBull.

After hearing about jerAx and Ceb retirements, this is the first thing I came to see, the best way to remember these true legends that made history not only in DotA, but in the eSports world. So sad I'll never see my heroes perform together again! But as Ceb said: “All good things come to an end, so they say. I know that sentence usually symbolizes nostalgia, sometimes even sadness, but I see more into it. Every beginning of an era comes with a big change that marks the end of the previous one.” GG WP legends!
Ceb didn't retired, he just went back to coach and manage OG team that open up new squad (OG seed and CSGO team). IMO, retired doesn't mean he stop playing for good. So far, Jerax just lost interest in Dota, no motivation. Maybe in the future, Jerax can comeback as a Pro player if he want to. Remember Fear from EG right? He was once retired, but comeback again as an active player.
Johan Sundstein (notail) : all Six of them..... all six of them.... Anathan Pham (Ana), Jessie Vainikka (JerAx), Sebastian Debs (Ceb), Topias Taavitsainen (Topson), Cristian Banaseanu (Coach) and Charlie Debs (Manager) goodluck TI9 ...
It's been years since I've watched this but there was a time I was in a dark place and this helped keep me afloat. Rewatched this video again today and still brought tears to my eyes esp the last part with n0tail saying all 6 of them. Reminded me of my friends and family who were there with me. It's because of this video I decided to put an Aegis of Champion tattoo to remind myself how far I've gotten by and if ever I get into a dark place again to just remember this moment who were there with me and what I did to carry on.
"ana doesn't really think of the things that can go bad, he thinks about what he can do and then he goes for it" And one more " Johan : The thing that often happens is, you learn a lot about your opponent but if you forget who you're along the way, you're going to lose no matter what " That's word really change my mind and also my life
Who else sees it in the recommendation, and is like "well I already watched this a dozen times... but I'll just watch a couple of minutes this time." but ends up watching the whole thing again?
Nobody: NOtail on Jerax: "He's like a dog that's chasing the ball, but you can't really see the ball. So you're just trying to run after the dog that's chasing the ball."
Translation: Jerax is always running at you while you yourself is chasing jerax yet you dont really know what is up to so you just keep on chasing him and will will eventually fall in despair
This is like Djokovic Wimbledon 2019 title: the whole crowd against you... Everyone's favourite Federer opposite and facing two match points... and then the HISTORY!!!
Notail - the guy who won majors but fails at TI amd was betrayed by his 8 year long friend Ana - the expert who was great, but was bashed by the public and came to play after stopping for so long Ceb - the player who gave up on playing after quite some fails and went to coaching Topson - the pub player who has practically no experience in the pro scene Jerax - the quiet guy who was always there for the team to support who really wanted to win nonetheless OG's run on TI8 is unforgettable
Here after TI9 and rewatching all the TIs finals and I have to say TI8 was by far the best tournament in Dota history. That comeback vs EG, that comeback vs LGD in the winners bracket final and the grand finals it wasn't just one moment, it was just a fireworks of great moments. This year OG didn't make huge game losing mistakes or did things that threatened the title in any way. Sure they lost a game here and there but there was never a moment when I thought "this is gonna be close". TI9 OG was beautiful Dota to watch but TI8 was more emotional and more fun, the best TI so far, even beating TI3 in my opinion.
@@Ben-my2wz TI3 was the TI that ended with Navi vs Alliance. During the deciding game S4 canceled two tps while the rest of his team stormed Navis base.
@@Istonfighter I disagree. Nothing OG did was dumb. If you pay attention you see that they approach the game highly analytical despite it seeming playful. There is a reason carry IO got hit with the ban hammer HARD the recent patch. It was never "dumb". The reason it doesn't work as well in low rank pubs is that people can't coordinate that well, but above 5k IO stomped even in pubs. Reason is simple: Giving IO farming priority makes getting Dominator + Aghs at the same time as reaching level 15 relatively easy. IO Aghs + level 15 talent was 775 magic damage every 4 seconds (tooltip says they spawn every second but in fact it's 0.8 seconds) for 0 mana. Those numbers are just insane. And with the current meta not going that far into late, this build was nearly unbeatable if you pair it with any other damage dealer/tank, maybe a Chen to buff the heals and have decent communication. Also keep in mind that OG's timings are good, they achieved their timings with scary efficiency, usually having IO online well before minute 25 which is their fight timing where this kind of damage basically wrecks everything and enemies usually don't have BKBs on all the cores (because most cores usually go one farming item into one utilty/damage item before BKB). Mid ES was never really dumb, it depends on the enemy draft. Basically every strategy is risky, but using new stuff is actually something that can give you an edge above all other teams.
till now the words notail and ceb said i felt both their pain. "when the stakes are high and the odds against you, you will know who your true friends are". this feels really sad

Yeah just the way he says it. The love this man has for his friends, just beautiful.
My favorite moment is when Ceb snaps him out of it after the win against EG. I’ve felt that kind of anger and while it does drive you, it’s such a draining feeling. What a great friend to immediately recognize this and make sure he can smile and enjoy his victory rather than seep in his anger.
This deserves so many more views than it currently has, fantastic documentary.
Well give it some time and you will see it go up. Whats the point?
Most likely everyone already watched on the redbull website.
I watched it already yesterday..

Pause and watch where Ceb is looking.
It's funny to think that after all this time, and Fly leaving OG in the worst way possible, n0tail would find someone endlessly more deserving of calling himself a teammate and friend, in a washed up french coach.
i think he just waited for the aegis to face the crowd..
i think you're just reading into this too much haha
Until he finds your girlfriend
@Jerome Carreon Came back to watch this masterpiece of a production again after 8 months, completely forgetting I made this comment lol
First paragraph might be me reading too much into it, but I stand by that second paragraph.

@B20C0 have to disagree with you there, OG did plenty of dumb stuff at ti9, carry io, mid es. It might have worked, but new strats can always be risky
