If you like Alan Rickman, I highly recommend Galaxy Quest. One of his best roles, and just a great film overall.

Yes, definitely! You had to watch Galaxy Quest! Love Alan, and it always made me feel bad when interviewers constantly talked about him playing the bad guys. Yes, he did played them great but he had a great sense and timing for comedy like here and Galaxy Quest as well as drama - Snowcake and romance - Sense and Sensibility, just to mention a few... He was such an great and versatile actor with an amazing voice and delivery.

Olivia Olson, who played Joanna, did all her own singing. In fact, Richard Curtis had her voice edited to make it sound more childlike. Other than this, her biggest credit is probably playing Marceline on Adventure Time, and it's spin-offs

The meetings in the airport were real. They had hidden cameras all over the airport. And when they captured a moment they liked. They went to those people and asked if they wanted to be in a movie. The ones that said "yes" were the people in the beginning. Kinda cool.......

Wow, this was a wonderful surprise(!), seeing you back and with this gift of a vid. Thank you for that.
The writer (and director) of this little gem, Richard Curtis, just so happens to make a lot of rom-flicks with, as you described, little windows into many peoples lives, so with that, I would absolutely love if you did some reaction vids to more his films... Four Weddings & A Funeral, Notting Hill, About Time. Bridget Jones's Diary. Oh, by the way, he and Rowan Atkinson created and wrote Mr Bean, so that's not too shabby a credit.

Martin Freeman's character is a "stand in". It's so camera and lighting can use someone about the same size and skin tone as the talent to set up the shot, so the talent doesn't have to, and can have a break.

I feel like a lot of YT reactors get the love confession by Mark VERY wrong. It's not like he's asking her to leave her husband for him, he's simply coming clean by confession that he was in love with her, making her understand that it was the reason he kept distant from her, not because he disliked her, but because in his way he was trying to respect her and her husbands relationship. And also, that was his way of "moving on" as well. Juliet understood what he meant. Mark would no longer feel wierd in their presence nor would he keep a distance from them again. He literally said "enough" to himself afterwards. He was gonna act like a normal friend in the future, focusing on finding love somewhere else, which he did in the end. Sure, Juliet kissing Mark might've been inappropriate, but I think she was simply flattered by his confession and the kiss was simply an acknowledgement that she appreciates that he came out clean for her. She was afraid that Mark didn't like her, and now she's happy to know that he does in fact like her and that he finally wants to be a friend to her. That's how I see it anyway.

this movie has been recieving so much unnecessary hate lately, but i think it's pretty perfect. it shows so many different version of love: and yes, sometimes it's toxic/hurts people/unrequited/forbidden. I truly love all storylines, maybe except for the one with the guy who goes to the USA.

I am recovering from a surgical Operation, and i can do not that much in the moment. i have seen a lot of your reactions in the past few weeks, and i only want to let you know:
I admire the way you dive into it, let your feelings flow and show us the way a movie should be watched. Your Clips helped me a lot through the last time, and i only want you to know:
    Go on, girl!
It is nice to see, that someone else is shedding tears at the same moments i ave a long time ago. It seems i can feel your emotions through the screen, and you almost give me the feeling to watch that movie again for the first time.

You know, on your concept that there is not just one “soul mate” for each of us, I agree. In an old French film that I saw (''Western'' 1997, I think...), one hitchhiker guy says to his down-on-his-luck friend: ''You know, i bet that in the next village we cross, there is at least one person, just one, that is perfect for you. It's realistic, right? Not two. Not three. Just one. Take the city of Paris. There must surely be one person, just one, perfect for you among the millions. Well, there are thousands of villages and towns in the world. If we agree that there is at least one person perfect for you in each of them, that's thousands of soul mates on Earth. It's encouraging, isn't it?''
Of course, you have to find them but that's for another movie...

Keep on posting! :) I love that Rowan Atkinson's helpful angel character tries to stop Alan Rickman making his mistake by being tempted by his secretary's horny devil character. I like the way he just appears from nowhere when first scene. In the deleted scenes, Liam Neeson's son was dropped from the school acrobatic team but used his skills on the bars to swing down to the airport gate away from the guards. Check out the 20th anniversary reunion clips - so cute!

15:11 Yeah the concept of "the one" is just something we've made up to help us cope with the fact that the relationship we have with a partner is just one made up from time and experiences.
People find it uncomfortable to think about how there are many many people in the world who you could fall in love with, given the right timing and situation, which makes it seem less 'special'. So we pretend that's not the case to make ourselves feel better.
A great example in my life is that I'm expecting a second daughter any day now, and I can't imagine how I could love another, different child like I love my first daughter. But I know that this time next year I won't be able to remember how I didn't.
Loving someone isn't a special one time thing, but the person and the relationship you have with them is special and unique.

    Greetings Blue
You are partly right. There is NOT 1 soulmate. There are several. Some of your "soulmates" will be your siblings. Some will be your best friends. Some will be your love mates for a while / for life. it just depends on the specific situation. This is why, like in "Sleepless in Seattle", one great person can die (end) and after a while Sam could find his next "soulmate". However, it does take being vigilant and open to new relationships. It requires paying attention to the "Red Flags" so you don't waste time on the wrong person thinking they are your "soulmate" and then blaming yourself because it did not work out.
Some people are 'right' for right now but are NOT meant to be permanent. They are there to teach you smth about yourself and to help you define and be a better person for the "Right person at the Right time".
About the Kira Knightley character (Juliet) and Mark, this was his way of saying goodbye to his obsession with the girl and NOT to break up the new marriage. The bad thing here is that Kira is 17 yrs. old at the time of the shooting while Chiwetel Ejiofor (Peter) is 26. SO, it's kind of pedo for his character to be marrying someone THAT young even if Kira was playing 19 yrs. As beautiful as Kira is, she is NOT that beautiful. Personally, I think Natalie (aesthetically) and Elisha Cuthbert were more beautiful than Kira.
The first movie of this style (interconnected stories) was 1975 "Nashville". The next one is "Short Cuts" (1993). Both by Robert Altman who is great at interweaving different stories in a great tapestry of storytelling.
At last news about this film, there is supposed to be some kind of much awaited sequel projected to be finished and in theaters in 2026. Maybe even '28 for the 25 yr. anniversary of the first film.

It was more enjoyable seeing this movie through your eyes than when I watched this movie through my own. I think the ....incident.... with the American president was 100% non-consensual.... a 'Me Too' moment before me too. I think the PM realized that it was a personal version of what the U.S. was doing to HIS country on the global stage... which fueled the next day's strong public rebuke.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Martine McCutchen (Natalie) has always been an underrated actress in my opinion. The way Richard Curtis interweaved the stories was genius. By the way, Martin Freeman and Joanna Paige were standing in for the real actors on a film shoot, so that the lighting and sound guys could get their bits and pieces set up, prior to the real sex scenes. That's why they were able to chat.

So, not sure how much you picked up on in your time in the UK, but Sir Richard Curtis is a pretty legendary British comedy writer that among other things, wrote the TV shows "Black Adder" and "Mr. Bean" with Rowan Atkinson, who you obviously saw in the movie. This movie was the first time when he started to also direct his own stuff. I recommend "About Time" and "Pirate Radio"(US title/"The Boat That Rocked"(UK title), of his also.

What you said about soul mates resonated with me. I too don't really believe in 'the one' - that there's only that one person you were meant to be with. You meet someone, you have a connection and then you build from that and make it work if it's worth making it work.
I do feel that 'making it work' is what is lacking in most relationships these days. Of course, there's a balance... or a limit, I should say. For the love of all that is good, don't stay with someone who is making you miserable. I only mean that a problem with people now is that they are too quick to hit a roadblock in a relationship and call it impassable. Too quick to say 'Oh well, it was good while it lasted, but it's time to jump out of the 'car' and say our goodbyes.'... Is this metaphor about being in a car working? Or is my awkward Englishman showing? I've never felt more like Hugh Grant's Prime Minister role...
... erm... anyway, that's how I feel about it. My parents have been together for 43 years and I've witnessed several moments where they could have taken the easy route and said, 'Oh forget this, it's too hard. Let's go our separate ways.' Maybe they always felt it was worth getting passed the roadblocks. They are a wonderful couple and I feel blessed to have them as my parents for many reasons. Not least of all, because they figured things out together and worked through even the hardest of times. Maybe it's because we get things too easily these days... I really don't know for sure.

I hope you can keep going. I really enjoy and appreciate your reaction videos. Your personality is perfect for this kind of thing. As we say in the UK, "Nil illegitimun carborundum." Don't let the bastards grind you down.

If you watch Love Actually followed immediately by Die Hard (both “Christmas” movies), Alan Rickman’s character in the first movie gets what’s coming to him for his actions, in the second movie. 😂

Now that we've watched this movie, let's watch "Notting Hill," which is almost as fun!

Good movies that are likely to get a lot of views include The Princess Bride, Sleepless in Seattle, Rear Window (an older movie with Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly...romance mystery), Blazing Saddles (a spoof of Westerns and making fun of racism), Men in Black, Jumanji (first one, with Robin Williams), Grumpy Old Men, Twister (about tornadoes with a love story worked in), Lethal Weapon (action movie), Field of Dreams. There are a lot more, but I think reacting to some of those will increase views and subscribers. You might not like all of them, but I think you'll like most. Just for cats, you also need to watch Aristocats, but since it's a Disney movie, you might have to edit a lot if you do it as a reaction.

Don't know if you noticed, but Daniel (Liam Neeson) makes a couple of jokes about having a thing for supermodel Claudia Schiffer. After Sam's concert, Daniel meets 'Carol' and they hit it off. Carol is played by Claudia Schiffer.

Was going to post this, I think it goes without saying she's far too young to know who Claudia is, so hopefully she reads this.

My dear there are more then just one soulmate out there for every one, finding even one in a life time is hard. Yes you can try to make the relationship work but 90% of those end in divorce. Don't fall in to the lies of modern feminism it will hut you in ways you know not. . Remember kid BELIEVE
