Lissie's amazing. She combines the better elements of Bonnie Raitt, Fleetwood Mac, and numerous others. I adore her music, thanks to David Lynch, Mark Frost, and all the fine folks that put together one of the best seasons of television EVER!
It is the definition of fever dream. Nothing makes sense, but everything feels real, and it leaves us thinking about it for a long time after. Mr. Lynch has poured his heart out onto the production, this is the showcase of his peak knowledge of film making. I don't expect season 4 since there's still too much of season 3 for the next generation of film makers to learn from.
I think the whole show was Cooper's dream since the first season. And if they don't make a season 4 maybe they can make a movie but if they don't it's ok, dreams aren't supposed to make perfect sense.
Isn't it weird when you hear a song that puts into words and music exactly what you think and feel. Lissie is the most profound songwriter of the 21st Century so far.
This was my first exposure to Lissie and I have been a Superfan ever since. She is just the best, who writes and sings from her heart with such passion. Also a great performer and I never miss the chance to see her live when she is in LA. Yes, thank you David Lynch and Mark Frost for giving the rest of us the gift that is Lissie!
I love Lissie, but she was miming here, you can easily notice 😂she’s absolutely amazing tho! Got chills first time I heard this song.. although I had just watched 2 episodes of Twin Peaks 😅
I absolutely adore Lissie. I play her music every single day. Her voice is like coming home. I was lucky enough to meet this utterly beautiful soul. 💓🌹💓🌹
Twin Peaks: The Return, besides being the best and my personal favourite movie of the 2010s also introduced me to some incredible artists like Lissie. Thanks for the wild ride, Mark Frost and David Lynch!
This song used to inspire me to be myself and feel good in my aloneness. It no longer works, I'm too sad. Things and emotions which I used to feel when thinking about people which used to exist and prevent me from losing hope are no longer here.
I'm so glad they recorded this stripped down version for the show ("stripped down" compared to the album version, I mean) - it took me back to the first time I heard her years ago with that live set recorded as a trio (Bad Romance, Little Lovin', Wedding Bells, When I'm Alone)!
I recommend watching it! It's intensely crazy and definitely an acquired taste, but it might grab you like it did me. I'm also grateful that it had this song, I discovered Lissie through this scene, and now I can't stop listening.
I was going crazy looking for this video, I had it in favorites for many years and it disappeared a while ago, now I know that it will never go away being on the official channel of the my best singer-songwriter in the world.
Thnaks to the TV show I knew about your work from this instant classic. Then I got hook up and discover songs like "Don´t give up on me", "The habitl" or "Further Romance" among your classic songs covers. I hope you find happinees as a human being and that you keep on getting inspired and working as as you had done - if possible - for creating such amazing songs, Lissie, as musician with your heart-touching rock. Thanks for being on this planet.
Shout out to people who couldn't figure out she was saying 'rogue' and didn't look up the lyrics for a while. Sounded more like 'rug' to me, so I thought 'rugged' maybe. Now that I know I love that lyric! Rogue is the only way to go in the ever tamer, yet still wild west.
My family have travelled from Devon to about an hour north of Ullapool for a holiday, and we said this could be our road trip anthem... It is indeed so wild on this west coast!
Clever edit at 2:54 to cut out that chorus. So were these performances lip synced or overdubbed or what? This is not the album version, but it's also not what we see on screen. It's awesome though. I love it!
I'm a big dumb idiot who was ultimately unable to properly interpret this song in context, but it's still my favorite out of the live performances regardless
Would love if someone organizes The Roadhouse event and invite all available artists from the show, like Chris Issac, Sky Ferreira, and others who've worked with him like Marek Zebrowski (Polish Night Music), David Lynch himself, Angelo Badalamenti, Isabella Rossellini, Christa Bell... And guests/supporting: Bohren and Der Club of Gore, Messa, Still Corners, John Zorn, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble and Pink Floyd maybe?? Lol
This happened at a very dark time in my life, and obviously the show had been pretty dark up to this point. I wasn’t familiar with Lissie, but broke down as soon as this started; it just touched something in me. It’s so hopeful, so defiant, things I had struggled to be up to that point. Huge, huge fan from thereon in. Have seen her several times, met her several times (she’s lovely), heck, even wrote a song inspired by the first time I met her, which my band recorded, although I don’t sing lead on that version: ua-cam.com/video/TmUZgDUWe9Q/v-deo.html Lissie, you are awesome!!!!!!❤
Never heard of Lissie before Twin peaks. Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge fan ever since. So thank you David Lynch and thank you Lissie!!
Same here
That whole album is brilliant. I love Ojai!
Me too. 1991.
Same for me! Amazing album!
Same lmao, music sounds better when it has the twin peaks end credits over it
I got chills while watching this for the first time. It felt like a relief after so much darkness.
Every performance was top notch, but damn, after the episode that preceded Lissie's Wild West, this damn near blew the rest away.
Same here. So liberating
Голос! Очень понравилось. Буду искать другие её выступления 👍👌
The way this performance absolutely knocked me over after this episode 😩😩😩
I was reborn after twin peaks.
There is something very special about it. Terrifyingly familiar❤
This song and Shadows by the Chromatics are my favorite songs in Twin Peaks: The Return. Both songs are powerful and give me crazy chills.
Heck yes! David and friends have great taste in music!
Tarifa is good too!
@@DontrelleRooseveltespecially the late great Maestro Angelo Badalamenti
this is one of my favorite songs. Lynch has excellent taste
TWIN PEAKS is such a beautiful, atmospheric world.
Best performance in the show. I’m here for Season 4 and Lissie as a regular character!!
Lissie's amazing. She combines the better elements of Bonnie Raitt, Fleetwood Mac, and numerous others. I adore her music, thanks to David Lynch, Mark Frost, and all the fine folks that put together one of the best seasons of television EVER!
I like that the announcer sounds so excited
And yet he was dead pan for NIN 😂
The Return was a fever dream. Shame we'll never get a 4th season.

@@bekindist The show is Laura's dream.
Thanks you David Linch for introducing me to Lissie!
This song has had such an impact on me the last several months… I cannot stop listening!!
Same here, love it :-)
Thank you twin peaks for introducing me to lissie. Gave me chills the first time I heard and still does.
Another song to cover at open mic! Thank you David Lynch and Lissie for giving this series so much heart.
She has such a soulful voice ❤
One of the best songs I’ve ever heard.

I remember the Twin Peaks Roadhouse show... this was the song that drew me out of the Black Lodge....
I was watching this episode, and I was shocked to see my childhood favourite singer in Twin Peaks. ❤
The guitarists went crazy on this!!
My absolute favorite performance of the whole series. I'm a sucker for haunted melodies and a fan for life!
I remember vividly discovering you during this Twin Peaks credits roll. Goosebumps. Been a fan since that very moment. You rock, Lissie!
I absolutely adore Lissie. I play her music every single day. Her voice is like coming home. I was lucky enough to meet this utterly beautiful soul. 💓🌹💓🌹

Lissie’s BACK baby!!!
The Moment I became a fan.
ME TOO!! This song (and scene) had such a profound effect on me!!
Full of sound, fury and style. Love Lissie!

My absolute favourite song from my absolute favourite artist. I haven't watched twin peaks but I'm grateful for it for this version

Thanks for the upload, not only was I glad to discover her back then, but also I stil think that's the best version of this song. Amazing artist.
Shes so dope

A younger version of Stevie Nicks without the glitz . More range and energy than Stevie. Amazing !
I love Lissie ❤️

It might have to with Laura’s life, as she was kind of wild, even if it was cope because elf the whole Leland thing.
