Please Netflix.... with all the money you throw at complete garbage, PLEASE Please continue this show. Please. I don't ask for much in life. This scene was so amazing. This show is absolutely amazing. NETFLIX, do the right thing for once.
@wozie1005 this show ended on a cliffhanger...it was not supposed to end. It was canceled because the company was taken over and bought out. I agree with you on shows going on too long and getting destroyed (walking dead)...but this needs a season or too to finish it up. The producer had the 4th season all ready written and done.
@wozie1005 if you get a chance, look up "producers script for Loudermilk season 4". I don't want to spoil anything for you, I would wait until you are done with the show, but the producer had the entire 4th season all done on paper, and it seems really interesting. He was super excited about tge 4th season. The only reason it was stopped was due to the buy out... 5 different shows got canceled. But Loudermilk started really taking off once it put on Netflix. Kinda like Cobra Kai. Cobra Kia was a UA-cam original and no one watched it, once on Netflix it went insanely watched. The 4th season of Loudermilk seems really really great. Buy really, don't look it up until you are done with the show. I'll feel bad if I spoil the ending for you, but it was Definitely a cliffhanger. Just promise me you will wait 😉
The thing is, Lissie here is much more mature than 12 years ago, when the song first just came out. Her voice sounds way more emotional,, more 'experienced' in the way that the older you get, the more shit you've seen in this life. This song fits her now even more than when she was younger. This is why I feel this version is better than any other.
100%. Has that controlled chaos with the raspiness. Emotions just pour out with experience, absolutely wonderful rendition. I love this 10 times better than her studio version, which in itself is awesome. Sorry, I just saw this episode lately and this floored me.
that's interesting. I want to think that she was playing the character's story as well, as in being older and more 'mature' so having a maturity to her voice, plus it really feels like she poured SO much emotion into it, like someone who has been longing to drink water and has been dying of thirst and someone suddenly offers it to them, or like she's been living as a fish out of water for ages...
@@shimmerer__00000 her voice on that song sounds like that in IRL now, it does fit the character but it sounds like it has matured and gained experience. Sounds much better today than it did 13/14 years ago.
Keep pushing. Whatever life seems to attack you with - you're stronger. You WILL fail and you WILL fall. It is a process. A week sober and a fail is literally the first step into sobriety. DO NOT give up on yourself.
Ron is great in this scene. You can see him slowly realizing that he had made a mistake in dismissing her initially. Going from recognition of her talent to being heart broken and guilt ridden thru the progression of the song. He apologized to her in his face. Great redemption arc!
I started listening to Lissie after this episode. It really is the best version - I have seen a lot of artists sing; seen a lot of covers. But man...this was like someone literally grabbing my heart and embracing it - so moving.
Is it just me or is this CLEARLY the best version? With the band it kind of just feels forgettable. You can feel this one so hard. So goddamn beautiful
I love it! And this artist is amazing! I'm from seattle and it makes me proud to see the artistry is very much alive! Like lissie, I'm also a musician and played Annie when I was 9. Music is my passion and I would love to play professionally and perform and live out my passion!
LOVED this show... this is like the only inconsistency with it. here the coffee dude is like a huge fan, then later when he's asked to be her band he's like what? why would I do that? who is that? But this also got me listening to Lissie cause that performance was death.
I think he just has a bad relationship with Loudermilk and he was the one asking. If she asked herself might have been different. Also he had to know she would totally steal the spotlight and it was supposed to be his band. I think that’s probably the case based on what happens after the performance (not that he was a jerk just, they’re two up and coming musicians so technically they’re competitors)
This show is awesome, and it's pretty cool that it brought some much needed attention to Lissie who is incredible. When I saw this scene it was driving me crazy to remember where I had heard her before and realized Deadmau5 had done a remix of one of her songs years ago that I loved. This woman is amazing.
Just love this show!!! And I also got goosebumps when I heard her sing.. And the look on his face that he Fucked up... OMG what a voice... I love this version of the song.. Great show and great tune!!!
This scene gave me goosebumps. It's more packed than anyone even realizes it. She's got pure talent and it just hibernated for so long, afraid. When he begs her to play she's reluctant *the bear approaches the mouth of the cave*. She finally gives in and lets a little out, terrified *bear pokes nose out for a little sniff*. Raises octave matching an increased and long forgotten confidence *bear exits cave* She finally lets go completely and remembers how much she loves it while at the same time dishing it with the sorrow for time lost to fear. *bear roars*. It's like she was scared from her talent, and forgot that she was talented at all. You see the art form waking back up inside her here and it's glorious.
First time I saw this show I just figured the show paid some musician to write/perform an original song for the show (because they almost exclusively play this one song) under a fictional name and honestly it bummed me out because I wanted Pool to be real based on how good this song was (or at least be able to download a studio version of the full song). When I rewatched one of the episodes - where the record is left to play as Ben walks to the kitchen - I realized it was definitely the same band but a snippet of a different (also awesome) song one they did not use heavily and figured “Shazam might pick that up” and so glad it did.

This scene caught me so off guard and just blew me away. absolutely killed it with those amazing vocals! And then loudermilk gets the coffee dumped on him I was dying 😂😂😂
Love this scene… who’s just discovered this show in 2024?

Swears... This scene gave me Chills.. Such performance ❤️
Highest rated episode for a reason
Me too… I hope there’s enough of us to start a revival, this show is criminally underrated.
This show is so good on so many levels! But this scene gave me chills….her voice 🔥

No, sometimes shows need to be over to prevent them from slowly bleeding out.

It's been many years since I've binged a show, until I saw Loudermilk.
Likewise. Absolutely compulsive
I also binged this show, this guy reminds me of me minus the addiction but I do have experience with that scene
I'm glad i'm not the only one. I've attended alan on and istwrcentions but this show is heinous for a time such as this.
just saw it on netflix, that one line he says to lissie being getting laid is so heartful and the best one ive heard in a while

This show is so underrated
It sadly is.
So very true.

Absolutely this. 100%.

We need performances like this and more episodes of loudermilk 👏
Yeeess.
There supposed to be coming out with seasons 4 and 5 soon 😊
Really hope so 🤗
this hits hard love the show ❤
I had the pleasure of seeing Lissie perform when she came to Houston. Absolutely incredible artist. One of my favorite live shows ever attended.
Loved every wacky moment.
If we get more, it is a bonus.
If not, smile because we had this much.
Ron Livingston should have won an award just for his face acting in this scene. Conveyed the emotions of the character so well.
Yes right you are. This got me the most too..
Yes her performance is beautiful but his face says it all - the mixed emotions. Guilt and mesmerisation all at once…
OMG. The pain in Loudermilk's face at the knowledge that he deprived the world of this talent.
It’s amazing and heartbreaking
This is Grammy-award music material - solid gold mistral!
Lissie has so many good songs but ‘When I’m Alone’ is perfection
Lissie’s performance is brilliant. Livingston’s acting in this scene is every bit as brilliant.
Livingston did such a great performance in this clip. Perfectly expressed the regret tormenting the character who’s also trying to keep his cool
I can’t even express how many way I sympathize with this show. This song is hands down one of the best scenes in the entire series.
Great show just saw it on Netflix, I wish they had more seasons. Recovering alcoholic myself
It failed because of less audience, they failed to promote it well
Keep pushing. Whatever life seems to attack you with - you're stronger. You WILL fail and you WILL fall. It is a process. A week sober and a fail is literally the first step into sobriety. DO NOT give up on yourself.
Congratulations! Keep kicking ass.

Loudermiks face when he is watching her play.. regret , admiration and sorrow.. He doesnt show a huge facial expression but shows enough.. brilliant
Love that people are giving this show and this part some love.
Loudermilk is brilliant! How can thus show only have three seasons?
She is awesome! Not only singer and song writer, add actress to her resume! I love her on the show..
This version is amazing. I just cried. There's only a few tracks and songs that would do that to me. Amazing.

Honestly fell in love with this song watching the show, can't believe I haven't heard it earlier!

This version remains the best. Live/unplugged audio hits the hardest
This is my new favorite show !
Felix and Lissie needs to do a collab as they are both amazing musicians and very underrated
Seriously! I heard this on the show and was kinda disappointed it wasn't the recorded style available online. A real treasure!
